Energizer LED Metal Torch

Pros: Reliable, sturdy and ergonomic.

Pros: Powerful light for such s small torch.Durable metal finish with no plastic parts.Exceptional value for money.Cons: No bad points at all, a great no fuss product.

The idea of this torch is great, LED so it uses less power and runs off 2 AA batteries, which means you can get new batteries anywhere or use rechargables. Put all this in a nice metal housing and you should have a really good product. Unfortunately they have a poorly designed interior and faulty switch.I have had 5 of these torches in the last 4 years and they have all had the same problem. The batteries move around inside the case and this causes the light to flicker on and off, and the switches are absolute crap and fail. The inside of the lens also fogs up on the when its rainy or humid.The first two torches I had lasted about 6 months before the switches failed. You give it a tap and the light might brighten up or might go out. Eventually the switches just stop working altogether.The third and forth torches lasted about 3 months before dying in the same manor.The last one I bought was flickering when I took it out of the packaging. Two days later and the switch didn't work at all. I tried it with new batteries and even tried a set of fully charged rechargeable batteries. It just doesn't work.I am absolutely disgusted with Energizer and will never buy their products again. These torches have no warranty and fail every time because of poor design and a faulty switch.If they put a better switch in and shortened the case by 2mm in height, it would probably be better, but as it is, they are just plain crap.Do not buy this torch, it is absolute rubbish. You will be throwing your money away if you buy this product.
