We are a family of gamers, so to say we used a lot of batteries was an understatement. After buying packs of batteries nearly every week, my husband decided to buy energizer recharge power plus rechargeable batteries. He bought 2 of the the 4 packs that way each person had their own set and was responsible to keep them charged. With teenagers it was the simplest method to keep arguments over batteries a thing of the past. As parents it was the smartest investment for our budget. These have saved us a ton of money and Hassel. They don't take long to fully charge, and will last for several days before needing to be charged again. Our kids put them on charge at night, that way they are set for the next day. I highly recommend these batteries.

These Energizer Recharge Power Plus batteries are incredible. The battery charger is quite a little gem too! It does exactly what it’s supposed to do with no muss, no fuss and no surprises. Operation is simple and straightforward, making it very easy to use. And it works for both AA and AAA size batteries. In fact, it will even charge both sizes at the same time! There is one caveat though: Batteries must be charged in pairs. A single battery won’t work. That means you can charge either two or four AA’s, two or four AAA’s, or all eight batteries at the same time. But you can’t charge just one. (Some kind of anomaly in the charging circuitry, I suppose). They last as long if not longer as traditional batteries. They are switched out the most in my kid’s toys and my husbands Xbox Remote but again it saves money by being able to recharge them. We do always keep spare non-rechargeable batteries in the house in case of emergencies but these are great when the others are needed!

I have dozen of the led nite lights to illuminate the ways at night for my cat in the corners where no electricity plugin. I like to purchase the LED nite light which used the AA rechargeable cells but they come with the cheap AA cells only 800mAh dies before dawn. These Japanese made Energizer AA cells are so powerful of 2300mAh last so long with only a few hours of charge can last for a few nights. There are many AA rechargeable batteries out there have up to over 3000mAh which a super low price but I only trust the Energizer rechargeable batteries that made from Japan. It takes a little longer to charge but it lasts very long and I recommend it.

Everything should be rechargeable by now.

I've been replacing all of the "regular" batteries in things around my house with rechargeable batteries. It seems more environmentally friendly, and not as wasteful. If you're like me, you used to use some kind of similar rechargeable battery in something like a radio-controlled car, and it was a terrible experience. These days, you can use a rechargeable battery, and in most cases, it will last similarly as long as a conventional battery. I keep about 4 of each size charged in a battery organizer at any given time. When a battery in a device is running low, I just replace it with a precharged battery, charge the low one, then stick it in my organizer to replace the next low one. Annoyingly, battery manufacturers tend to not publish the mAh rating of their batteries, but the mAh rating of the battery tells you how long it will last. In a nutshell, a 2000 mAh battery will last twice as long as a 1000 mAh battery in the same device. (Also, all rechargeable batteries lose ~10% of their mAh per year, so a higher mAh rated battery will also be able to be recharged and used more times before becoming depleted, at which point you'll have to replace it.) Depending on who you trust, these are either 2000 mAh or 2300 mAh. Those are both pretty good ratings for a rechargeable battery, and very similar to what you will find with all of the major battery brands at this price point. There are similar mAh ratings in some Duracell rechargeables. Personally, I don't like the aesthetics of the Duracell rechargeable batteries because they look nearly identical to their conventional batteries. I want all of my rechargeable batteries to look alike, and look nothing like a conventional battery. With these Energizer batteries, I'm less likely to mistake them for a conventional battery and discard them. It's also worth noting that if you're not familiar with the differences between "regular" batteries and rechargeable batteries, a "regular" AA cell battery is 1.5 volts, a rechargeable AA cell, on the other hand, is 1.3 volts. Most electronic devices that report how much "charge" is left on a battery will use the voltage of that battery to determine if the battery is low. In some devices, any rechargeable battery might be reported as low because of that fact. It's also the case that in some rare occasions with devices that require high currents such as cameras and toys containing motors, you may not be able to use a rechargeable battery.

My TV remote works again!

I was very pleased to find that my local Canadian tire stocked this product, because I couldn't imagine where else I would find these. I rushed home to try them out. The packaging was fairly easy to open. There is a small perforation in the cardboard backing that you can use to tear open the package, but be careful the batteries don't spill out on the floor. I like the shiny colours better than the dull gold and black of the competing brand and the silver ends are nice and shiny. The positive end of the battery is well marked, but there doesn't seem to be a mark on the negative end - something the manufacturer could consider to make them easier to use. The batteries fit perfectly into my TV remote control, which now seems to work perfectly, so obviously this was an ... MoreI was very pleased to find that my local Canadian tire stocked this product, because I couldn't imagine where else I would find these. Since I have only just bought them, I cannot say how long they will last, so I will try to update this review from time to to time to let you know about the durability of the product. For now, I can fully recommend this product. They work much better than the small pieces of wood I had tried out earlier, which didn't seem to be effective at all.

[Rewarded Review] Good but not as convenient as they should be

Love that they’re re-chargeable, but hate that they lose their charge at a gallop. I should be able to charge our batteries and then leave them in your battery spot until you need them. As long as it hasn’t been months or years, they should still be charged. They’re not. I charged a bunch and maybe 3 weeks later I needed two for a device and they were dead. Had to recharge them overnight. Regular batteries don’t just go dead 3 weeks after you buy them. Why do these go dead (when unused) 3 weeks after being fully charged? Also, I have a small table clock that runs on 2 batteries. I put the batteries in for the first time 6 months ago. The clock worked until last month. So these batteries lasted 5 months on first use. I recharged the same two batteries overnight and ... MoreLove that they’re re-chargeable, but hate that they lose their charge at a gallop. So the same two fully charged batteries lasted 20% as long, on second use. Not okay with that…….
