This unit is less 'spec'ed' than most, thus the cheaper price (eg: no display) - but fits into the tight space I have and is working a treat. Hard to beat their compressor technology.

Wife complained because food took too long to defrost at -18C so turned it up to 13 just right. Bought a cover that protects the case but does little else so I lined the cover with real 12mm cotton insulation used for packing furniture - magic. Fitted a cheap max/min alarm for $20 from Jaycar in case of faults - no such thing. Real happy.

Purchased for use on a yacht as it can work up to 30 Deg Angle. Used for 4 weeks straight and hasn't missed a beat. Works amazing as fridge on 1 and uses very little power.
Great size for us takes 2ltr bottles standing up 6 pack beer -a few bottles of wine standing up also leaves space for food (bbq chook,salad, marg and bread rolls) highly recommend- very easy to use Have used multiple times in the car and inside - has not been switched off since we got it. Great storage for not in use power lead.
With what people ask for second hand .paid a little extra and love it . Acts as a beer fridge in between camps with warranty and peace of mind. How can you beat that. HONESTLY NO COMPARISON
Consistently good performance but now needs replacing and the vast improvement in all other brands makes this Engel way overpriced.
Had an eclipse for 5+ years prior to purchase of second. Found the eclipse to be tough and reliable in Far Nth QLD summers. Keeps the beer ultra chilled for hydration.
2nd Eclipse 38L that I've purchased, just perfect for my needs. In car or in camp. Very efficient. Must be careful not to set temp control too high - cans freeze & explode.
Great little fridge that cools well and has plenty of space for us. We are using it in our Subaru Outback and it has been great for keeping our food fresh - previously we've only had an esky and this is a big upgrade!
