Gives a different temp than setting on fridge. Not sure why engel can't use their own technology to accurately regulate the reading on fridge. Also since fridge come with badket, why not give a hook?The outside part needs a backlight.

Bite Size thermo Good Quality unit, Fairly accurate it seems..... > For the price$$ its a pitty you cant turn it of without removing the battery's. PS, Do NOT leave it in direct sunlight or you'll bugger the screen, and place it somewhere safe gets lost easily in the back. Like some one else stated Velcro it, Out of the sun though.

This thing is fantastic, I run multiple fridges on the back of my ute, depending on what I'm doing ie; work, camping, long road trips. I have double sided tape with velcro on the inside of each lid which I stick the slave to and the master screen is permanently fixed to the dash. It has worked well in summer and by watching the temp I have been able to situate the fridges to the best coolest position to conserve power from battery supply.

Incredibly fast delivery to rural Victoria. thermostat works well to give an overall accurate indication of the fridge operating temperatures over a 24 hour period. The Engel 40l fridge has been operating for the past two weeks with the thermostat probe inside, with the one set of alkaline batteries. A very useful piece of gear to have.
I purchased the Engel WiFi fridge thermometer to replace an older version of the same brand.The new thermometer seems to work much better than the older ones.Once the WiFi has been coupled there has been no problems. Older versions were constantly needing to re establish the connection but this one has functioned seamlessly for over a month now.The digital display is clear the numbers are quite large and easily read. The styling of the receiver is clean and modern and suits the other digital controllers we have in our caravan.The transmitter is smaller than the previous one and tucks down nicely in the back of the fridge.Overall I'm very happy with the performance and appearance of the Engle.Also I think the price was less than the original.
Disappointed when it failed after 18 months. It now reads 55 degrees C while inside a cold fridge. The sender isn't well sealed, so it tends to get wet inside. Maybe this is why it failed.
Definitely one of the better looking units on the market and looks nice and neat attached to the dash. The 24 hour hi/low feature is a great addition too.Worth mentioning, in the documentation it explains the accuracy is +/- 1 degree, and there is a bit of difference between the two.
Great product to check your upright fridge in your van is working perfectly. I use these had all the time and find them fantastic. It even saved all our food when the fridge failed.
Used to monitor Dometic fridge temps while on the road. Was simple to setup - add batteries, place sensor in the fridge, automatically connected and working well. Have used on 3 trips so far with no issues. Accuracy is fine for the price - alongside a medical grade digital thermometer (accurate to 0.1c) the ambient temp read about 2.5c higher than actual, and fridge temp 0.5c lower than actual. Good enough for my needs!
Good, but you can’t use it within 50m of any other camper, van or person with a wireless thermometer.I tried similar units from other brands, they all use the same address and frequency to pair up.Best option is to buy a single multi-channel thermometer.
