JungleNest Hammock is a hammock from ENO. It has a smart insect net that can be opened from both sides of the hammock. The net can be stowed in the packing bag when you don't need it. The net also has a "Spreader bar", a lightweight aluminum bar manufactured by DAC, who specialize in this type of poles/tent sticks. This causes the mosquito net to be stretched properly, which reduces the risk of being stuck through the mosquito net. It also makes the hammock more spacious when the net is stretched out.

I have had my Jungle nest for five years now and have used it around 20 days out of each year and no signs of wear. I use the Eno rain fly tarp. I have camped during 10 major rain storms and that includes one Hurricane with 70 mph wind and the hammock and tarp stayed put and kept me dry snd secure. I also use a under quilt to help insulate during winter camping , purchased the under quilt on Ebay. All in all i give five stars! I have the 1.0 version and they now have the 2.0 but at a reduced weight capacity which is no good if you are a big guy.

I have used this eno on five backwoods camping trips, where we backpack in, and spend roughly 4 days. Here is my take:1. overall, the hammock is awesome. It is very breathable, the zippers function well, and I was able to find good rest at night.2. I encourage a complete set-up and understanding of it before you're actually in the woods. While yes it is easy once you get it, but I could see where people could get confused.3. Do your best to make it tighter than you think you need.4. If you're expecting rain, set up your rain guard closer to the tent than what you think you should.5. I did find myself scooting towards my head-end through the night a few times, due to sagging. I feel as thought he straps loosen/stretch after the first or second use, but ... MoreI have used this eno on five backwoods camping trips, where we backpack in, and spend roughly 4 days. I feel as thought he straps loosen/stretch after the first or second use, but eventually find their "forever" length.6. this may sound like a given, but do not wear your shoes/boots, and use a hatchet to clear any brush or branches below you (even the small stuff). The material is very hole prone. This isn't a flaw, but rather a feature of being very breathable and lightweight. Patches are very cheap, but It will rip if you don't pay attention.Ultimately, this is a fantastic piece. If you're the rough and rowdy type, and don't protect the integrity of your gear, this isn't for you. If you take the proper steps, and do your homework, you will find this is the best camping hammock on the market.

Upgraded from an ENO double nest and also grabbed a Helios suspension system to have the integrated bug net. It saves time setting up the bug net since it’s already attached. The only complaint I have is the bug net is lifted by a small aluminum pole that keep the net away from your face. That pole creates a dome that the standard ENO canopy does not fit over well it took several tries to get the fit right so the tarp was not in contact with the hammock, I was finally able to get a good fit by placing the tarp higher than I usually would on a double nest, I will be investing in a new rain tarp as I usually like my tarp a bit liver to block the wind.

I own the previous edition of the jungle nest and I love it. I recommended the newer model for a friend and we set it up yesterday. The new design features are very cool and it seems like an upgrade from the original. However, the string that holds the hammock up is set at a fixed length, giving you the same droopy slope of the hammock, no matter how tight you fix the straps. For sleeping purposes, you ideally want a tighter hammock. All other ENO hammocks allow you to set your hammock up however tight you want it. This hammock is at a fixed length from the line that holds the bug net up. If you look at the pictures you can even see the droopiness of it. How is someone supposed to sleep in that?!? I recently finished an 11day bike packing trip from Bristol, TN to Memphis, TN and this was my camping shelter, along with Helios straps and a ProFly. Let me start by saying I’ve been looking for the perfect lightweight, comfortable camping hammock solution for a number of years. I thought I had found it with the SupperSub and Guardian SL, weighing in at 19oz and packing relatively small, but the Junglenest blows it away! It only weighs 1 oz more, packs down smaller, and with the bishop bag and attached net, it takes half the time to set up. Best of all the extra foot in length and spreader bar for the bug net allow for a more comfortable diagonal lay without the net resting up against my face. For context, I’m 5’11”, 160 pounds with broad shoulders. For context, I’m 5’11”, 160 pounds with broad shoulders. I have a Doublenest, SupperSub and a Sub6. This Junglenest is the most comfortable of them all. Add to that the net unzips and stows at the foot of the hammock and there are storage pockets by your side and above your head. This is my new go to shelter and honestly has given me the best 11 nights of sleep I’ve ever had camping. Thank you eno! P.S. if you don’t already have a ProFly, get the ProFly XL. It’s 3 feet longer and will give you better coverage over the foot longer Junglenest.
I have been using ENO hammocks since my first ENO Double Nest was issued to me in the military in 2008. (A 9-hour flight in a military cargo plane goes from misery to luxury when I would rig my ENO in the aircraft. *Ask the air crew before you start setting up.)After retiring from the military I became a full-time expedition kayak guide spending literally months sleeping in an ENO in the islands along the US-Canadian border. The ENO Jungle Nest is a big step up in convenience and insect protection over every other insect-protected sleeping solution. It’s extremely compact and comfortable with it’s aluminum spreader bar and integrated ridge line.My only suggested improvement would be to offer a camo or more earth-toned color option.
I love my junglenest hammock (and rainfly).Supper comfortable as the net mesh breaths wonderfully. If I wanted, I could remove the net mesh for a traditional ENO, which is a great option. The netting stays off you when you are laying down; there is plenty of room inside and I do not feel like I am confined to a small place to sleep. The hammock itself is wonderful just as all of my 3 ENO hammocks are.I also really like the supper lite weight of the whole hammock/netting when packed.I like the two pockets inside the tent (above your head and at the midsection... about where your hip would be when laying down). I would love a 3rd pocket or clip above your midsection you for a small flash light (#nextgeneration). A 4th pocket at your feet would be cool to.All that ... MoreI love my junglenest hammock (and rainfly).Supper comfortable as the net mesh breaths wonderfully. It is great to sleep off of the ground and to keep the critters away. I think the only person that doesn't like it is my wife... #tents #groundsleeper #thosepeople #butIlovehersothereisthat
I bought this to see whether it could be a lighter option than my Eno double nest combined with a separate bug net. It absolutely is! And it comes with all the smart, simple design features and build quality you can expect from Eno.Sadly, it is a very small hammock, which is no where near as comfortable as the double nest. Because of this, it wasn’t the game changer I was looking for. At six feet tall, I felt rather cramped. So, while it will not be replacing my other hammock set up, it may be right for you, if you are on the smaller side. If so, it is well made, easy to set up, with great bug protection.
I have several ENO hammocks, 2 DoubleNests, 2 old JungleNests, and now the new Jungle Nest. This one is, by far, my favorite. The old JungleNest didn't seem to have much room and, tho I liked the integrated bug netting, it always seemed to droop or be in my face. That is has been taken care of in the new version. The spreader bar keeps the bug net at perfect tension with the integrated ridgeline. Set up is a breeze using the Helios straps. I have no problem using my Vulcan underquilt with it as well as the Underbelly gear sling. The issue with the Talon ridgeline was that the hooks would always be on the outside of the bug netting. This was true for the Guardian bug net as well as the old JungleNest. With this new hammock, the ridgeline is integrated and is inside! I took two of the Prusik knot hooks off of my Talon ridgeline and added them onto the ridgeline inside the hammock. Now I can hang up the pouch that came with the Talon and it gives me a lot more overhead storage. The Moonshine lantern also hangs from the internal ridgeline and provides the perfect light. All in all, I'm extremely satisfied with this one!
As a hammock lover and lover of the original eno junglenest I was very excited to try the new junglenest with a removable bug net and built in ridgeline.upon setting up this hammock I realized the built in Ridgeline was too short to pull it nice and taut how I like it, so the center of the hammock sagged (a discomfort thing for me). i decided to remove the Ridgeline and replace it with a longer one that I made myself. after measuring, the Ridgeline it comes with is approx 8 feet and the hammock itself is 10. hmmm...on my second go of setting up, things went smoothly, but I found that if I wanted the bugnet to be closed all the way, I either had to set up the hammock with the bugnet zipped beyond halfway of either side or get out of the hammock completely which ... MoreAs a hammock lover and lover of the original eno junglenest I was very excited to try the new junglenest with a removable bug net and built in ridgeline.upon setting up this hammock I realized the built in Ridgeline was too short to pull it nice and taut how I like it, so the center of the hammock sagged (a discomfort thing for me). i decided to remove the Ridgeline and replace it with a longer one that I made myself. after measuring, the Ridgeline it comes with is approx 8 feet and the hammock itself is 10. hmmm...on my second go of setting up, things went smoothly, but I found that if I wanted the bugnet to be closed all the way, I either had to set up the hammock with the bugnet zipped beyond halfway of either side or get out of the hammock completely which was also quite a stretch as the zippers are designed more like an arch at the end as opposed to 2 sides coming together. i feel like after multiple uses the strain on fabric on that end will cause a rip or tear. its hard to explain, but definitely more of a hassle than I was anticipating.honestly, now that I've learned how to attach a Ridgeline I may just go back to the og junglenest, but I will give it a couple test nights before I decide for sure.
