ENO SingleNest Hammock, Melon/Olive

(742 reviews)

The ENO's SingleNest is about the size of a softball and allows backpackers the luxury of hammock camping without the bulk and weight. Technical users appreciate the functionality and versitilty, while recreational users will enjoy the perfect nest of the single hammock. Holding up to 400 lbs, the SingleNest is any backpacker's dream. This portable hammock is made with high strength breathable nylon that will dry quickly. It also features strong holding line and high grade interlocking stitches. The carabiner clips are included. If you have hooks placed on a wall, tree or beam, the hanging distance needs to be between 8.5 ft and 9 ft 10 in and it will be very easy to hang this hammock. Otherwise, you will need a hanging strap system (like the one offered on the right hand side), which allows you to hang your hammock virtually anywhere and between far apart posts or trees.

Most of my family now has an Eno. We love them for resting and reading out in the big outdoors. It's easy to grab and run to the park on a beautiful day or the yard. Find two trees and you are good to go!! My other comfort in having an Eno is that I know I will always have somewhere to rest my head if this world erupts. I hear things and think well, if any of that happens - I’ll still have. Bed!

Good product, but the one I received had some stitching issues

The hammock itself is a good product. However, the one I received had a little bit of a problem in the stitching. Some of the stitching at the two ends of the hammock was frayed and was coming apart. Otherwise the Hammock performs alright.

I’ve had this hammock for about 3 years now and I’ve used it at least 30 times in that amount of time. I’m 5’11” and 170lbs and I fit perfectly. It’s very easy to setup and paired with the right bag and pillow it is very comfortable. Only complaint would be that the straps would be easier to setup if it had a ratchet system like one of my friends hammocks, but for $50 you can’t go wrong.

Great Hammock. Want more neutral colors
25 April 2022

We love love the hammock. However, there needs to be more options in neutral colors. When no one is in the hammock, it displays the colors of the side stripes. For example, I bought one that was mostly a neutral olive with bright blue side stripes thinking that it was mostly olive. But when no one is in it, it just looks bright blue. This means that I survey my natural surroundings and the bright hammock is what catches my attention rather than the natural beauty. Or, I take a picture of my family camping and there is a bright distracting hammock stripe in the background. Basically, the bright colors are offensive to the scene when I'm in a natural environment.(My first hammock was all neutral colors and it is perfect. I had to go on ebay to find another like it.)

Great hammock
13 December 2021

Very comfortable hammock and easy to use. Wonderful for laying in or sitting sideways in.Love the clips it comes with and an easy connected bag to repack. The material feels sturdy and has yet to tear, break, or fray.I immediately want to take a nap once I start swaying it in.

Hammock heaven

Fantastic hammock, and a huge upgrade to my last one. Ive tested it out in my basement and I LOVE it. I'm really looking forward to using it out in the bush. This hammock is going to be a 100% kid-free hammock because three small people treating your hammock like an amusement ride is bound to be a disaster... I know this from experience.

Nice hammock, but go Double if you're over 6'

I bought the Single a few weeks ago, have since only used it lightly, once while camping (for reading in, not sleeping), and once in the backyard. This was my first hammock purchase. It's great for lounging around, and I love how quickly I can set it up with the Atlas straps (sold separately for $30 I believe). It packs up easily as well. Great little design, perfect for tossing in your backpack/glove box and taking it on hikes, camping trips, or anywhere for that matter.I can't speak for how the hammock performs as a stand alone camping hammock (I only dozed off while reading for an hour or so), but the lightweight material makes it a great candidate for a weekend backpacking trip. Obviously with the thin/lightweight material, you're sacrificing some long-term durability. If you'll be heavily using your hammock, you may want to consider a more expensive option from a different brand. But for what this hammock is designed for, and it's price, it performs its duties very well. Also, just an observation I've made since purchasing, but the single could be a little bit wider for me. I'm a 6'1" 165lb male, and when orienting myself diagonally to attempt to lay flatter, my feet go over the edge of the fabric, causing a pressure point against my lower leg that would imaginably get uncomfortable after some time. So if you're planning on getting this to sleep in, and you're over 6' tall, you might want to consider looking into the Doublenest.

Not very comfortable
2 September 2022

Just bought this for $25 on sale. It is too short to be comfortable. My back has started to hurt very quickly in this hammock while others from friends of other brands have been fine for me.I love the colors and the price (when on sale). I’d never buy this for full price though. The Atlas straps are fine but the hammock itself is just not comfortable. I’m 5’8” for reference too. Shorter people may be able to tolerate it.

Thought I wouldn't like this style, fits 10' stand
21 May 2017

Having mostly enjoyed cotton mesh hammocks with stretch bars, I didn't think I'd like this, but I bought the wrong size hammock stand (10 ft) and stretched out the cotton one trying to make it work. Bought this from my local store since it was on sale and less than 10 ft. I have gotten out of it all day. Just finished listening to a 13 inning Giants game with a 42 minute rain delay in my backyard. Super comfortable. I would have probably fallen asleep in this thing but the game got tense at the end. I've already ordered straps so that I can throw it in my car and have it where ever I go just in case. Already planning on watching the eclipse from this hammock. Might go get the double nest tomorrow while it's on sale.

We bought 4 of the ENO hammocks for our grandchildren in Arkansas for Christmas. They LOVE them! Our son got all four set up in less than 10 minutes. They are awesome - the hammocks AND the grandchildren!!
