Chocolate flavor is always a plus in My book however the beverage itself isn't remotely what we expected. It's not anything like the animal based Ensure and not even as sweet. Not sure what to make of it but won't likely be buying again.

This is an answer for Those of us that have milk lactose issues. The prepared nutrition drinks all have milk product whey, our enemy. I have been forcing myself to drink those for the nourishment and would suffer somewhat after drinking them. To find a plant-based replacement is a miracle. However they’re not fully on the shelves yet and the last one I could get was chocolate which for me doesn’t taste as good as the vanilla. Please help restock them in plentiful. Great plant based replacement, NOT to be confused with those boasting made with plants. Totally different.

Meets the need for individuals who are lactose intolerant. Good thickness especially for dysphagia patients. A little too sweet but I add a little coconut almond milk to reduce sweetness.

The positive, it is sucralose free and I really appreciate that. The cons, lacking flavor that is semi palatable…at least in my opinion. Regardless of if it is room temp or cold, the flavor is basically the same. I added instant coffee granules to help choke down the drink. The color isn’t very chocolate colored more of a grey color. I really wanted to enjoy this but I’m finding it hard to finish the case I purchased. I wish the other Ensures were sucralose free because I enjoy the non plant protein variety much better but the sucralose causes migraines for me.
I love the plant based Ensure with the 20mg protein. I put in blender along with my banana, blueberries, strawberries and hand full of Kale. I then eat a boiled egg for mid breakfast and 1 cup of black coffee with liquid tumeric. This hold me all day. Along with my supplements. On doing so I have lost 30lbs in two months without exercise.
Is horrible. There is some kind of overwhelming taste in it like a black licorice taste. I even tried mixing/sneaking 2 ounces of it with the ensure enlive "shakes" I make for my mother and you could still taste it over everything. She flat refused to drink it. Also it only has 180 calories if that's important. I buy tons of ensure enlive, ensure plus and ensure original for my 84 year old mother. On occasion I also started drinking it. I have nothing but high regards for those ensure products and they really taste good. I wanted to try something with more fiber for my mother is why I purchased this kind. I only used 1 1/2 bottles and was thankful to Abbott for honoring refund.
Ensure has the best taste of the four brands of vanilla nutritional shakes that I've tried. Best of all, there's no dairy (I'm lactose intolerant) and no soy (which can make me have PMS symptoms). Ensure has some fiber, too, so that's a definite plus. Not just for older folks!
