Am now on my 4th set after earpads fell apart, always happens after around 6-8 months. Each time so far PB Tech have dutifully arranged for Sennheiser to repair, and it was instead replaced (by Sennheiser) - very good customer service from PB tech/good following of the lawWould love to keep them or even get more expensive (and better quality) but replacement parts are 80 bucks for a ~$200 product. Will consider my options. Try another brand. These headphones sound nice but will fall apart at a rate you can set your watch to.

these are fantastic headphones. easy to wear all day, great sound quality and the replaceable cables mean that even if something does break (which is unlikely as the braided cables are just stunning), we can easily replace it.The only issue I've had si

Good audio quality, very poor lasting qualities (parts break very quickly)
17 December 2022

I bought this headset just a few months ago, I was pretty much satisfied with the audio quality and the comfort (even tho the top tends to press a bit too strongly on the head), but then the ear pads cushions just broke down so quickly and it went worse very very quickly too. The earpads cushions parts just basically started detaching from eachother, and the "holes" just got so much bigger each day going from a small hole to the cushions being very much broken in just a very few days. My friend bought the same headset and got the same exact problem. He sent the headset back to Digitec to get it repaired and he didn't get it back for now, it was like 1 month ago, and when recently he asked where his headset was, he just got very vague answers basically telling him to ... MoreI bought this headset just a few months ago, I was pretty much satisfied with the audio quality and the comfort (even tho the top tends to press a bit too strongly on the head), but then the ear pads cushions just broke down so quickly and it went worse very very quickly too. That's a joke. I prolly wouldn't recommend to anyone to buy this headset, especially not from digitec. It's sad because I've known Digitec for having pretty good customer supports.

Great set of Headphones.

I'm a proud owner of Sennheisers flagship HD800s, and musically speaking these are actually comparable. The sound is crisp all throughout, the highs and lows are clear as day. You can practically see every soundwave as it bounces off your ears. I also wear a size 8 hat, so anyone that says these were too tight are just being sensitive. I saved a whole day to test out this apparent issue, and i was at the 9 hour mark when i finally felt some discomfort. My bum and my back were in more pain than my head just from sitting so long. Sometimes i don't even feel like getting my HD800s set up because these do just fine. A+ work throughout, thanks again Sennheiser for releasing another fantastic product.

Just my thoughts
22 June 2022

Solidly built. The sound is warm and clear. The headband adjustment does not seem to make any difference to how tight the headset grabs. Very awkward to remove from your head as both earmuffs are bulky and there seems to be nothing steady to grab a hold of. Sound travels along the cable to the headphone so you hear the cable brush against your arm or shoulder. The microphone arm when in the upright position is leaning too far out and can catch on objects. Not suitable for people with small heads. I would not recommend this headset to anyone. I bought this product at a huge discount so it was worth trying. Compared to my Hyper-X, the Hyper-X is much better. I watched many video reviews and read reviews about his headset and they were all favourable.

Long term review of the ESP 601's
20 October 2021

I have had my GSP601's for over a year and working from home, I wear them every day for about 6 to 8 hours. I game with them on the weekends. I have a XXL head, just like my dear Dad, and I haven't found them too tight or uncomfortable for wearing them for extended periods like other reviewers. I do have them adjusted all the way out, and I have found them to get a bit looser and more comfortable over time.Sound quality is a little better than my previous Audio-Technica ATH-G1 headset... slightly less bass response, but better clarity in the midfield, and the sound stage is better, despite the closed back nature of the ESP 601's being not quite as good at dampening environmental noise as the Audiotechnica's. The microphone sound quality is pretty good.... a little flat for my taste, but more than capable for discord and zoom use. It doesn't pick up ambient noise or leaking sound from the earcups at all, unlike other headsets I have used. Its excellent in that regard. The plastic frames of the AudioTechnica's has always first to break, but the build quality of the 601's is excellent. The alloy frame and headband have stood up to near constant use with no discernible wear. I give them a clean from time to time with some wet wipes and they continue to look like they did out of the box.I have replaced the cup foam on my headset once so far, not unexpected given the amount of use they get. Its easy to do and the cups aren't expensive. The proprietary cable, on the other hand is very expensive for what it is, and surprising hard to get if you need it in a hurry. I paid $53 for a cable plus shipping to get mine flown in next day from Adelaide, as no-one in Melbourne was carrying it at the time, and told me I'd need to wait a few days to ship it in from the supplier. Not good if you are working from home. So be careful with the cable, and the little proprietary socket it plugs into.

These did not feel comfortable
30 May 2020

For me personally I could not get these adjusted to the point where they were comfortable. The bottom of the ear cups press against the top of my jaw bone and other boys in the family had the same feeling. I feel like these are made for someone with a smaller head. The sound quality and the mic quality were more than sufficient. But the comfort, both the fit and the weight, were enough for me to take these back and exchange them for much cheaper but also much a more comfortable Logitech headset. No, the sound isn't close, but they were instantly comfortable, something the 600s should have been out of the box.

not nearly as good as the price suggests
27 August 2021

mediocre headset for the cost. Sound quality and mic are fine, idk i'm not an audiophile. The ergonomics are atrocious. I by no means have a large head, but i have these on the largest setting with minimum 'tension' on the band and they are only just big enough and WAY too tight on my head. They squeeze onto my ears from either side and i can hear my own heartbeat throbbing with these on. I guess the person who designed them has a tiny peanut noggin or something?
