My son is not yet even a week old, but he already loves this carrier! I have 5 kiddos, with my youngest being born at a whopping 10lbs 9oz. This makes it difficult to use some newborn carriers because he is so heavy already, they just pull down on my shoulders. That is not the case with this Embrace Soft Air Mesh Newborn Carrier. It provides amazing support, is super comfortable (for both me and him!), and is easy to use.Upon opening the box, I was surprised by how compact the carrier was. It can roll up and fold down to a rather small size which makes it easy to place in my diaper bag. This is rather impressive considering it has quite a bit of padding to ensure comfort for both parent and kiddo. Not only does it come with an instruction booklet that has multiple easy to follow photo instructions, but there are tags on the carrier itself that show how to put it on, and you can easily find videos from Ergobaby's YT channel that show someone putting it on in action. I have only used one way of wearing it so far, since my son is only a few days old (newborn carry), but I already feel confident in the other methods of wearing it because the videos and photos are so easy to follow.Once I got it on, I was shocked by how comfortable it was. Not only did it only take about 3 minutes to put it on for the first time (impressive since I had to adjust all the straps that first time too!), but the spreadable shoulder straps were really amazing for dispersing my son's weight to the point that I feel like I'm not even carrying him or holding him in it at all.He went into it and immediately went to sleep. In fact, he's sleeping on my chest, in the carrier, as I write this review. It perfectly allows him to have healthy posture and relaxes his head on my chest so he can hear my heartbeat and get a little bit of skin to skin time.I have used pretty much any carrier and wrap you can think of over the past 11 years, and this one is absolutely perfect for the newborn stage. It has all the benefits of a wrap, but the structure, comfort, and security of a carrier. I absolutely recommend this to everyone!Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to have this amazing carrier in exchange for my honest review. I can honestly say it has made my life quite a bit easier to have my hands free, and my back comfortable, these first few days.

The Ergobaby Embrace Newborn Carrier makes for a very comfy wear, and in the humid south I appreciate the breathable, mesh fabric. This will be great for the summer. The fabric and structure of the carrier also created a cozy and snug feel for my little one. However, her height right now (24ā) is right on the border for the newborn/baby mode carry position options. Therefore, she is just slightly too big for the newborn option and just slightly too small to see well over the carrier in the baby mode facing in carry position. She is more aware now, so I think she will like the carrier much more once she is able to hold her head up and face forward in the carrier. Putting on the carrier was simple and easy as the shoulder straps are long enough to easily grab, pull across the back, and then adjust. The spreadable cross straps and supportive waist belt feel safe and secure when carrying baby. Some of my favorite features are how this carrier has the best of both worlds in that it has the support of a structured carrier, but the light weight feel of a wrap carrier. I also appreciate that while the carrier is labeled and targeted as a newborn carrier, it can be used on infants up to 25 lbs. (typically 12-18 months). I also like how the instructions are sewn into the carrier. New momma brain must be reminded sometimes. The only con I can think of is that as an avid hiker, this may not bode well for longer hikes, and I may need a more structured carrier, especially as my little one continues to grow. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this carrier.

Iām not one to leave reviews, but I felt this was important enough to write. I put this on my registry because I had read plenty of great reviews about it. Unfortunately, my experience was not the same. I used this a couple times with my infant. The first time I used it, she was about 2-3 months old. I read the instructions carefully to make sure I was wearing it properly and had my husband help me put our baby in. I noticed my baby fell asleep pretty quickly after placing her in it (I just assumed that meant she was comfortable). I used the carrier again the next day, so I could do some cleaning. She brought her baby over for a playdate and I noticed the EXACT SAME dots on her babyās legs, so now at this point, Iām wondering if the carrier had something to do with these dots since we both used the same carrier at the same time. I decided not to use the carrier after these marks showed up on my baby and since she was falling asleep quickly (I figured her circulation was getting cut off). Fast forward to today, my baby is close to 6 months old, I decided to give the carrier one last try. In less than 10 minutes, I look down and my babyās legs are completely purple (dark purple). I will be getting rid of these and never using it again.

Iām obsessed! My son is almost a month old and Iāve used this carrier everyday for the past few weeks. Itās my saving grace for actually getting things done around the house. My son is more comfortable in it than in the ring sling, itās much lighter weight and more breathable, and I donāt have to be as careful doing chores as heās more secure in place. I do have an Omni 360 as well that I love that would also work, but itās a little aggressive for use around the house in my opinion, especially since my baby is only about 10 pounds. I donāt like to leave him alone for naps during the day yet because he spits up a lot, so this newborn carrier makes it realistic to have him with me most of the day. It also keeps him vertical which helps with his reflux, and I think ...Ā MoreIām obsessed! My son is almost a month old and Iāve used this carrier everyday for the past few weeks. It also keeps him vertical which helps with his reflux, and I think thatās one of the reasons heās so comfortable in it. He usually falls asleep pretty fast but can look around if he wants.Thank you so much to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this carrier to try! I have my newborn, a two year old, and a four year old and although this sounds dramatic, I truly canāt imagine not having this carrier now. Besides using it around the house all day, I bring it to the park and the few errands we do run because Iāve learned I canāt have my infant in a stroller or his car seat because I need the use of my both hands for my other two kids.Iād say this carrier will take the place of my ring sling. Itās worth having a carrier more suited to newborns and holds babies up to 25 pounds, which is pretty big. My 2 year old is 28 pounds and the only carrier he ever goes in is a hiking backpack. Neither me nor him is interested in my wearing him when weāre not hiking, so itās not an issue that heās too big for this carrier. I will probably still use my Omni for my little baby when we start hiking this summer because of how sturdy it is, but this new newborn carrier will continue to be my everyday carrier.Itās very easy to adjust and we often adjust it because my husband uses it too. He has his own carrier for our babies, but itās also a little aggressive for everyday use. One thing Iāve noticed is that the straps that hug the shoulders do slide up when Iām doing the dishes or laundry, but my baby doesnāt notice so it doesnāt bother me either- just something to note. My son is long (21.5 inches at birth and already 23ā at less than a month), and I like that this carrier accommodates for that. I just wear it without folding the waist strap.Overall, weāre so stoked on this carrier! If I had to give it back after testing, Iād go out an buy one immediately. Luckily, I get to keep it!
I received this Ergobaby Embrace carrier through Stellar Panel a few weeks prior to our baby boy being born, so I have been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to try it out! Immediately out of the box I LOVED the fabric and the color (washed black). It felt durable, breathable and well put together. My first issue with this product came when I discovered the lack of instructions in the manual. The instructions included were only diagram pictures of how to and how not to wear this carrier. I found it a bit confusing and had to resort to watching some videos in order to properly place our week and a half old, but no big deal, we all do it right? I found it a bit confusing and had to resort to watching some videos in order to properly place our week and a half old, but no big deal, we all do it right? When I put the carrier on and begin to place the baby, I realized that there was a lot of pressure around his head when I pulled the straps across my shoulders. At almost 22 inches long and close to 10 lbs already, I would have assumed that he would have been able to fill this carrier out nicely, but I believe he may still be a little short. My wife and I positioned him many ways, and did a lot of different adjustments in order to see what was ultimately comfy for him. I found that if I were to let the straps down, closer to my neck with the adjustable straps being wrapped more-so under my armpit, that his head was supported better and was the most comfortable position for him currently. So much so, once we got that adjustment set, he immediately went to sleep. I feel like as he grows, this carrier will be very beneficial and maybe we will use it "properly" but for now this was what worked best. If I hadn't had these issues, I would have given it a 5-star review. I look forward to the ways our little bundle of joy will be able to utilize this over the upcoming months!
I am on my third baby, and I have become a structured carrier devotee, having used several different structured carriers. The Ergobaby Embrace Soft Air Mesh Newborn Carrier, which I received gratis as a member of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, is the softest, most lightweight of the bunch, and most likely to keep baby (and adult) cool. Oddly, it feels both more and less structured than some of the carriers that are intended to be firmer and have much less breathable fabric. I worry that the mesh fabric could stretch over time but love how it is designed to expand over the shoulders to distribute the weight and provide additional support. It did take me a minute to figure the carrier out (hint: flip the waistband over ā that wasnāt super clear in the instructions) but once I did, I was very impressed with the product. I have been resistant to using carriers in the summer since for most carriers, the fabric is quite heavy (in addition to the baby being pressed against the parent), but this carrier changes that game. Thanks to the early season warmth I have been able to try the carrier on a relatively hot day, and I felt much more at ease that my LO wasnāt going to overheat, and I didnāt either!Additionally, due to the lightweight fabric, this is the most space-efficient structured carrier I have ever used. Where others are so bulky that I must throw them in the car on their own, this carrier will easily fit in a diaper bag, and take up very little space. For those who are low on space or want to have the freedom to bring a carrier along just in case, this is the structured carrier for you.
I received this newborn carrier through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in perfect timing! Having had two other newborns in spring/summer timing and being an avid baby wearer, I have been searching for a cooler alternative for baby number three than what Iāve used in the past. Overall this is a very comfortable, lightweight, breathable cross between a traditional wrap and a carrier and thereās really nothing Iāve found quite like it on the market. These are the pros that I have experienced with this carrier:1. Amazingly soft, stretchy material that is breathable like a sports T-shirt. The stretch is better than Iāve seen in any non-wrap carrier and is great for postpartum mom and newborn. Amazingly soft, stretchy material that is breathable like a sports T-shirt. The stretch is better than Iāve seen in any non-wrap carrier and is great for postpartum mom and newborn. This truly has the support of a carrier with the comfort of a warp without feeling like you are bundled in a sweater.2. So easy to put on. It is so important to be able to slip a carrier on quickly especially when youāre in a hot parking lot with no space and baby is waiting to get out. This slick two clip system (or one clip if you put it over your head) eliminates frustrating tugging, tying or latching every time you just want to get out of the car.3. Very adjustable to personalize the fit. This has just three main adjustments you can make plus the shoulders that can spread out. The straps have plenty of length so it can be adjusted to my husband who is much larger than myself with plenty more strap to go. The shoulders can spread out mimicking the comfortable fit of a wrap without feeling like you are wearing a sweater (also leaving your back open to the air). Itās also good to note that if you are the only one using it, then you donāt have to worry about getting it just the right tightness or height every time you use it.4. Quick and easy instructions. This may seem trivial since we have the internet, but the instructions are so easily laid out that you can quickly find your babyās weight and how you plan to wear them (forward/backward) and immediately see how they/the carrier should or shouldnāt look once set up. No need to search for videos or wonder if baby is safe and comfortable.I have not experienced any significant cons with this carrier. The only con that might come up is that it only goes to 25lbs, and I prefer to stay minimal with what baby gear I own. But given that newborns are so different in needs and body shape than older babies, and I tend to wear my newborn much more than older babies I think it is worth owning a newborn specific carrier.
ReviewI received the Embrace Soft Air Mesh Newborn Carrier through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. I have 3 kids, (the youngest being 2 months old,) and I have a lot of experience with babywearing. My babies and I have all loved using wraps, slings and carriers throughout their infancy and even toddlerhood - in the house to get things done, out and about running errands, walking and hiking, on all day trips and on vacation- carriers are definitely a game-changer for any parent. My babies and I have all loved using wraps, slings and carriers throughout their infancy and even toddlerhood - in the house to get things done, out and about running errands, walking and hiking, on all day trips and on vacation- carriers are definitely a game-changer for any parent. For my 2- month old son, I have been using a traditional wrap to carry him since he was born. Like the name implies, the wrap is a long piece of fabric that requires a lot of complicated (at times) wrapping and tying to put on, but itās also super cozy and warm to carry my newborn in the colder months in New England. But as my son is getting a bit older, and itās getting warmer outside, Iād started looking for a different carrier- something less heavy and thick, and something a little easier, especially when āon the goā. I didnāt feel the baby was quite ready for the bigger structured carriers yet, even with the infant insert. Enter the Embrace Soft Air Mesh Newborn Carrier! This mesh carrier combines all of my favorite features from the wrap with all of the conveniences and support of a more structured carrier. It keeps my baby cozy and close to me and is great for breastfeeding. Like with the wrap, he falls asleep almost instantly when in the Embrace carrier. It is super lightweight - incredibly easy to pack up and take with me on outings and it takes up hardly any space in a bag. The material is a lightweight knit/mesh - itās soft and breathable for me and my little guy and I can definitely see us using this carrier all summer long without either of us getting too hot or sweaty. I love that the straps are stretchable and wrap in the back - like my wrap, it is comfortable and supportive for me and baby- and the long straps make it so easy to put on by myself too. It is so much easier and more convenient to put on than the wrap- literally 3 buckles and weāre good to go. The carrier has a padded waistband/belt, and a cushioned neck support for baby, and it keeps his hips in the ergonomic āM-positionā thatās so important for his hip development. This means weāre both comfortable, even when babywearing for several hours a day. Other great features of this carrier: itās machine washable and once heās old enough, we can use this carrier for baby to sit in a face-out position. I love this carrier so much that I now find myself reaching for this carrier over my wraps, sling and other carriers - itās just so comfortable and so easy. This carrier would really make a perfect gift for new/expecting parents and is a great addition to a baby registry - I definitely highly recommend!
Second time mom here. With my son, I used the Solly wrap which is soft and nice to carry baby in, but does take time to wrap, even by someone who's experienced. With a toddler running around this time around, I didn't have time for that! The Embrace is soft, cozy for the baby, portable (folds easily into my diaper bag), comfortable for multiple body types to wear, machine washable AND with the added bonus of being extremely user friendly and easy to put on by myself (with only minimal practice, unlike the Solly). I was able to carry my baby around the airport for a trip and she slept in the carrier entire time (including the flight!).Points to improve would be to add a pocket for small essentials such as a pacifier and a head covering for those sunny outdoor walks. ...Ā MoreSecond time mom here. The Ergobaby Omni has both of these things but is much larger and not as portable in a diaper bag. The Embrace is only supportive enough for the first year of life, after which you would need a more supportive carrier such as the Omni. The Embrace is much more affordable than a similar carrierHope this helps and happy babywearing!
Iāve been using this carrier with my newborn son since he was about five weeks old, and I love it. It feels comfortable, itās very easy to put on and remove, and baby falls asleep immediately in it.This is my third child, and I really wish Iād had this carrier for the first two during their newborn stage. I tried wraps with them, but I could never make them work outside of the house: how are you supposed to put on those long fabric ones in a parking lot without getting the ends dirty? The Embrace has the comfy structure and support that makes the wrap desirable (especially in the floppy newborn stage), but itās a million times easier to put on than a traditional wrap. Just buckle three buckles, and Iām good to go anywhere. When off, the carrier is even smaller than it looks when on. It can easily fit in a diaper bag or hang from a hat hook. I think I want to get a little canvas bag to keep it in since the straps get a little tangled in things in the diaper bag otherwise. When Iām wearing it, itās very comfortable on my shoulders and back, as long as Iām careful to spread the straps out wide over my shoulders. The fabric is stretchy, so stretching the fabric over the very upper arms doesnāt restrict my movement. The waist belt is comfortable ā I really like the fact that it buckles on the side for easy access. The mesh fabric is definitely breathable. Itās thin but strong, which is greatādefinitely a perfect carrier for summer. I donāt think baby or I will get too warm wearing it. The size of the carrier is thin enough that itās easy to put a coat on over it without creating weird bulges on the shoulders. For a newborn mom, a good baby carrier makes the difference between having your hands full or free. Iām wearing this one all the time nowāfrom making breakfast for my big kids to reading with them at bedtime, and all through walks outside and grocery store runs too.
