I am an absolute phobe when it comes to baby carriers, always worried I’ve not put it on properly and baby will fly off. I avoided them like the plague with my first 2 daughters but this time around with school runs etc to navigate I bit the bullet and decided to try ergobaby on the recommendation of a friend. The carrier itself is pretty simple to use. It took 2-3 goes to figure out what I was doing but soon got the hang of it and now it’s used regularly. Baby feels secure, doesn’t slip down and the carrier itself is lightweight and breathable. It’s easy to wash and transferable between myself and my husband. I’d definitely recommend this brand and in particular the Omni 360 cool mesh. Perfect for all seasons!

I love my baby carrier and using it for mostly at the grocery store since it gives me the ability to be hands free! It’s also great to get this because it’s super comfy! My only challenge is getting this on and off by myself can sometimes be a challenge although I’ve gotten the hang of it. It took me a while to get it just right for me and my baby. Also keep in mind, as your child gets heavier and you recover post party’s you will likely need get to keep adjusting the straps to adjust which I typically need help doing. I will say it’s super comfy! I wore a carrier from a family friend and I think you definitely get what you pay for because this one is super comfy in multiple positions. If there are parts of your body you cant neither see nor touch, there is a good chance that the middle of your back is one of them. Well guess what! They came up with the genious idea of putting a clip exaclty there. And there is more! They design that piece of non sense so that putting that clip on is the final step of the process. Picture this: you have a baby crying and giggling in pain in front of you while you try to put on that last clip right in the middle of your back. Thats what is going to happen to you if order that . A juicy diaper full of poo coming right to your doorstep! bon appétit!

We purchased our Omni 360 carrier when we were expecting our first child, in addition to a stretchy fabric wrap I thought it would be a practical option for my husband (who was less likely to go for the stretch wrap). Initially I thought I was being a bit luxe and maybe it was a bit extravagant. Friends who also have one rated them highly, this supported out decision to purchase. What I liked about this carrier was the age/size range that it catered for (quite wide) and that it didn't require an additional newborn insert - so while expensive, it would see us through a good period of time. The carrier proved to be a practical option for walking along the beach with a newborn - my husband was able to carry our baby, and we didn't need to worry about sand and our pram. ... MoreWe purchased our Omni 360 carrier when we were expecting our first child, in addition to a stretchy fabric wrap I thought it would be a practical option for my husband (who was less likely to go for the stretch wrap). I enjoyed the Omni 360 for our newborn as it was easier for me to get on and off, and a more seamless transfer of a sleeping babe - for context, I am on the shorter side.As our daughter has grown, she is now 17 months, I have found it a great option for doing the groceries (especially during these covid times) as I haven't needed to put her into a shopping trolley, she has a great view of what we are doing and can participate. More recently it has been a great option for fruit picking and allowing her to participate in the process. For us, this has been a great investment piece which we have utilised in conjunction with our pram, it allows us to do things hands free while still including our daughter.
Upgraded to this after my baby outgrew my first Baby Bjorn. I kind of wish I had had this to begin with, because it feels great to have one carrier for newborns to up to 45lbs. However, I think I needed to experience the tradeoffs with the Baby Bjorn. BB is simpler --SO easy-- to use, which meant we used it a ton. However, it definitely had much less support. But you don't realize that until you have a heavier baby and switch/upgrade.The Ergobaby is amazing for our baby who is now 22ish lbs. I love all of the different holds. I feel like she's more secure and snug in her seating as well as on me. The hip belt is a must for long holds. All of this security comes at the cost of a more complicated carrier, though--so beware. I would have been overwhelmed using this as a new parent, I think. The sleep cover has been so helpful. And honestly I'm excited to keep using this for a few years.Anyway, it's awesome, highly recommend if you want ONE carrier for a few years. Bonus if it's just one person or multiple similarly-sized people using the carrier, so that you don't have to do so many adjustments each time you switch between them, as is the unfortunate case between my spouse and me.
I absolutely love my Ergobaby carrier! I have been using it with the newborn insert and my baby loves it. I've been using it to take her on a long walk everyday and it quickly soothes her to sleep. I'm 5'3 and haven't had any issues with the fit. My husband, who is 5'7, also enjoys using it. I find it to be very comfortable for my back, especially when I compare it to my Moby Wrap. It was slighlty difficult at first to figure out how to put it on, but after watching a couple videos and practicing I quickly learned how to use it. I'm now able to put it on and off by myself and I'm able to adjust it easily for myself after my husband uses it. I am so excited to use the different carry positions as my baby gets older.
We were recommended Ergobaby by a family friend. And we are so so glad that we brought one. No regrets at all!!!! It is really comfortable to wear and gives us great back support. Baby is really comfortable in it whereas with previous carriers she has screamed her head off. The materials used are lightweight, high quality, and breathable. The straps are super comfortable across our shoulders and back. I can not recommend this carrier enough. We are so so happy with our purchase 🥰
I do love how sturdy this carrier is but the mesh is incredibly scratchy and baby cries when it in as it scratches his legs. Can only be used if he has on pants or long enough shorts that cover where his legs touch the carrier. The mesh is also on the shoulder straps which makes it very uncomfortable to wear with a tank top. I like using my carrier around the house and nursing tanks are basically what I live in so that really sucks.Getting the carrier on is very challenging with a wiggly baby. I recommend to undo the side snaps and snap in the “h strap” that goes across your first and put that over your head. Then click in the side straps and tighten as needed. Otherwise it’s almost impossible to do this by yourself.Best Buy does not accept returns on carriers ... MoreI do love how sturdy this carrier is but the mesh is incredibly scratchy and baby cries when it in as it scratches his legs. I will keep toying with the straps because it really hurts the muscles on the top of my shoulders which I assume is from not properly adjusting the straps.. for those who find the shoulder straps too bulky and falling off I was able to resolve that problem by placing the base strap higher on my torso. Hopefully baby grows into this better although he’s already 18 pounds and over 25 inches long so not sure how big a baby must be for this carrier to be comfortable!Would not recommend.
Fairly solidly made but not particularly well designed. There's no way to adjust for torso length and the one-size-fits-all approach creates a really disappointing product. I'm 5'9 1/2", not a particularly tall guy, and have to have the "hip" belt way up around my mid section to keep my baby at the recommended carry height. It just slides down as we walk since there is no hip supporting it and also keeps the carrier from distributing the baby's weight well. The padded section of the straps is also very short. I get it. This product was probably designed mostly with women in mind. I have broader shoulders and some muscle and the padded section of the straps only goes an inch or two down my back, leaving only the webbing for back straps, neither comfortable nor particularly secure. The straps that adjust the length of the shoulder belt are also the only straps that adjust tightness on baby. Basically I have to cinch the hip belt as tight as possible around the bottom of my rib cage for proper ride height and then cinch the shoulder belts only as tight as I dare, being mindful not to draw them too tightly for baby, and then just sort of keep hitching my son up as we walk. I'd bought the harness in hopes of also using it for light, low impact activity like snow shoeing and cross country skiing, but that is totally out of the question. I was also very disappointed to find out shipping on returns was at the buyer's expense. That's not particularly indicative of a company that stands by its products. Bottom line is this could have been a solid carrier with another piece of fabric between baby and adult with baby security adjustment straps separate from the shoulder adjustment height straps and a simple Velcro-closing height adjustment strip for the hip belt. Without those, it's really just not appropriately constructed for men, taller women, anybody with a little more body mass, etc. Construction is sturdy, hence 2 stars instead of 1.
I love the carrier except for the fabric that supports baby’s head which feels like scratchy polyester. As an adult, i wouldn’t want that fabric against my neck and face, so i think it’s especially inappropriate for babies. Unsure why this was overlooked when the other carriers have soft cotton to support the head? My baby gets a rash and marks on her neck and the side of her face. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone and strongly advise ergobaby to make the fabric around the face soft cotton and suggest they rub this fabric on their neck and face to see if it feels nice?
