Ive always had an issue with numbing testes on long rides. Ive tried lots of different saddles and finally ordered Ergons SM pro saddle.I originally ordered this saddle for a mountain bike build. I mounted it on my Scott Addict road bike to test it out until then. I have to say this is hands down the most comfortable saddle that I’ve ever ridden on. I road 100km and there was no numbness at all. The Ortho cushioning is perfect for my sit bones. Full disclosure I am a 200lb 6’ 1” rider and have narrow sit bones - 13cm. This 14cm wide saddle works greats.I was so happy with this saddle I ordered the SR pro carbon to go on my road bike in the future. Yes Im a bit of a weight weenie. If I can get great comfort and a light component Im willing to pay the price.

Shipping took a while but it arrived. the Seat is grippy at first but becomes balanced after you break it in. on the bike for over 300km. Quick Tip - Make sure you know your sit bones width before buying! do not add or subtract anything. check the Ergon Site to make use of the measurement tool. Comes with a Topeak saddle bag seat clip too.

When it comes to mountain bike saddles, there's no real competition to Ergon. Spesh makes great saddles for road, but MTB is all Ergon.Highly recommend, but I also recommend that you figure out your sitbone width in person with an Ergon dealer, or know your sit-bone width. If you dont know your sitbone width, Ergon has a calc on their website where you put in hips, height and weight and its always small. But I know my width and it sizes me M/L.I have all ERgon saddles on my 4 MTB's and they're the best.
This item is a direct replacement for the same saddle Ergon SM Pro. Measure your sit bones because I think that is why I have not had the perfect saddle until the Ergon. The rail on my original saddle broke, however it should be noted that it was on a hard tail and that the hard tail is/was ridden pretty hard. I also have the same saddle on a full suspension bike and I have no bent or broken rails. Previous saddle include WTB Volt acceptable comfort but not as good as the Ergon and a SDG Bel Air which caused blisters.
Saddle is comfortable and looks great. Looking forward to being much more comfortable on longer rides. It's the high quality I have come to expect from Ergon - they make great products.Postal delivery was about a week longer than quoted on here, even though it was mailed immediately after the order was placed and there were absolutely no customs delays. Therefore, bikeINN needs to get much better at estimating overseas delivery time.
I recently had a crash and bent the rails on my blue trimmed Ergon SM Pro Men's saddle. So I had to switch to use my red one. But it was on a blue bike! But now I've finally got another one and all is right in my world. Blue Ergon saddle on my blue bike and red Ergon saddle on my red bike. Also they're very comfortable.
I've spent hours to measure properly size I need and always Ergon tools were recommending S/M size. Quality of materials is definitely better than my stock saddle.But I can't say it's the best saddle I ever used. It's good for sure but not the best. Maybe I just need large size. Another point is actual outfit on you. Biking on this saddle would be better if your shorts are designed for MTB.
Compared to the seat I already had this was a lot flatter, which is good because it supports my sit bones without needing to be way back on the saddle. It's kind of too firm but that's probably good long term and I'm at the weight limit anyway so that doesn't help it. Initial feel is plank-like but saddles that feel softer can feel harder after half an hour or so.
I am really impressed with this Ergon saddle.I fitted it and went straight out and tested it on a long XC ride.It is without doubt the most comfortable saddle I have ever used.You can tell it is a real quality product very well made.It also looks good and was very easy to fit.Excellent product I would certainly recommend it.
