Ergotron 45-647-216 HX Desk Monitor Arm with HD Pivot White

As a relatively tall person, the original odyssey g9 stand it came with was just not adequate enough for me. I would have to bend my neck down to look at the monitor. This arm however solves my problem entirely. You can get the monitor quite high above the table, higher than i have it set up, which is awesome. My neck is no longer suffering, as the center of the monitor is now at eye level for me. Extremely sturdy, really good quality. Only problem I have is it costs so much.

49in samsung odyssey

I needed a new arm for my samsung odyssey. The last one broke when i was trying to angle the monitor up. Luckily i had a good grip on the monitor. That arm always had issues keeping the monitor in the angle i wanted. The HX monitor arm has no such issue. It feels super sturdy. Keeps the monitor right where i want it. I couldn't be happier with this product.

Awesome Piece of Gear!

This is one amazing piece of gear! As soon as I opened the box I immediately got the impression that it was a medical grade piece of equipment. Once mounted, I couldn't have been happier with the result. I got my desk space back, it cleaned up the look of my gaming area, and my Odyssey G9 now looks like it floating in mid air. Right out of the box I didn't need to make any adjustments. The factory tensions were just right. I was concerned that the weight of my monster monitor would cause the mount to be a bit flimsy but that's not the case. Its very solid. If you have an Odyssey G9 and you don't have the Ergotron mount, you're really missing out.

EROGTRON Customer Service is a SCAM - do not order direct from Erogtron !

I keep getting emails from Erogtron asking me to review a product that was never received, even though tracking showed as delivered so I will go ahead and leave my review. As mentioned above, I NEVER received this product so I cannot leave a honest review about the monitor arm mount, but I can definitely leave a review about Erogtron's customer service. Customer service is absolutely terrible and it is engineered to work against you in event of any issues that may arise with your order. I was absolutely livid with this response and sent a follow-up response only to hear nothing back from them afterwards. I would absolutely avoid ordering directly from Ergotron at all costs whenever possible. They do not impose signature-required for high-valued products that would be "difficult" to replace on a whim, which is exactly designed for situations like mine where mine was either misdelivered or stolen. This is standard for any company who sells high priced items such as TVs, monitors, car parts and many other items. I am not sure why Ergotron is not one of them. Absolutely shameful for a company that is supposedly one of the top brands for industries including medical and technology-related fields. Exceptional Quality

The Ergotron HX is holding my Samsung 49-inch G9 and it is simply outstanding. It clears up considerable desk space and allows me to position the monitor exactly as I want. It was easy to put together and attach to my desk and the monitor. Ergotron really did their homework when they designed this arm. It is well worth the price.

Pros: It's sturdy enough to hold up the monitor no problem. It's not uglyIt has decent cable management Cons: Moving the monitor is difficult to say the least. It's not entirely the arm's fault the monitor weighs like 14kg but still it's not easy to actually move it aroundThe range of motions feels limited, due to the fact that it's so hard to move.

I waited for some time for the arm with the heavy duty hinge included to come out...and boy am I happy that I did! It is strong, smooth and clears up my desk brilliantly! It was easy to install but even easier if you have 2 people. I have the Samsung G9 and quite literally the monitor looks like it floats. My only negative is that the cable management could be a bit tidier. The cover on the base of the stand just pops off every time I move the monitor. I fixed it by removing it and using Velcro straps instead. Really happy with the purchase.

Product is a 5. Works

Product is a 5. Works great. Holds the weight. Moves smoothly. Wish there was a handle for moving instead of having to grab the monitor. Also haven’t heard anything from CS after asking if there is a handle that’s compatible or one in the works.

Tried Everything Else but ended up with this

I tried everything to mount my Samsung Odyssey G9. I tried heavy-duty mounts from every company, I tried bolting things in place, and I tried everything short of welding a bracket for the monitor. I still ended up with this Ergotron arm with the HD Pivot. I am so glad that I ended up biting the bullet. Setup was easy, the only issue I had was that I needed to reinforce the desk with wooden boards because the weight was too much for my Ikea desktop. Other than that I am looking at a pile of arms I tried that did not work and realizing that I spent more than the cost of this arm trying to find a cheaper alternative. Learn from my mistake and just go with this one from the start.

Works perfect for monitors 49 inches

I purchased it for a monitor that is 49 inches wide. It holds up well, strong with no sagging at all. My only gripe is that I had expected the maximum height to be taller so that I could stack monitors using two desk arms. The arm doesn't raise tall enough to fit another monitor underneath. Other than that, it's sleek and really opens up all the space on my desk.
