Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara Waterproof

Ok so I bought into the fad as I needed to stock up on waterproof mascara for the summer. This actually made my lashes look shorter than they are. It clumped fairly easily and required me to use a lash separator when dry. I did two coats and it worked well as waterproof but reminded me of a cheap knock off too faced mascara. I have longer lashes but for someone who needs length this would probably not be my first choice. The brush is so thick it makes it hard to coat each lash as well so I have some that look shorter than others. Shockingly my bottom lashes look fine but i did notice I had a lot of flaking from my lower lashes with just one coat. I was kind of disappointed being the reviews had been great. I absolutely love this mascara! It is the perfect formula. Not too wet and not too dry. It doesn’t get clumpy fast either. I found that using one solid layer works best for me. Two layers can make it look a little spidery and clumps my eyelashes together. There is absolutely no fall out under my eyes. It holds up very well! It does have that false lash effect making my eyelashes very long but also separated. I just have to make sure not to use it to heavy. It comes off pretty easily when using micellar water as well. For the super cheap price it is soo worth every penny! I would pay much more for this product. It is comparable to high end mascaras. I would repurchase this item over and over.

Don't ask why it took me so long to try this mascara, I know I'm late to the party. But I'm so glad I finally got me some because this mascara is wonderful. It doesn't flake, smudge, or wear off during the day. It also separates lashes perfectly and adds volume as well as length. It still washes off easy enough though. The only thing that kinda worries me is that it seems like it may be starting to get clumpy already... Btw adding a drop or two of eye drops into your mascara tube will help when it starts to dry out or clump. Overall, I love it and I can't believe I'm saying this, but it might be replacing my fav mascara. Especially since it's so dang cheap.

Bought Previously and liked it but now...

This is probably my 7th or 8th tube of this exact mascara. The rest have been fine, except for this one and the one before. I thought maybe it was just other allergies, but having bought a brand new tube and the problem persists, its the mascara. I am not sure if something has been changed in the past 6 ish months or what. I can say with complete confidence that it has never been actually water proof. Makeup remover proof for sure, it has been the hardest to remove mascara I have ever had, unless of course it was fall out leaving dark circles. I didn't mind it much because I don't wear foundation or anything that will smudge or come off when I wipe it away. First time purchase and I am pleased.

I was looking for a good waterproof mascara. I have tried a few others and for the first time, I think I will buy this one again. It goes on nice without clumping. Not too heavy and not too light. Fairly good separation and length. I need make up remover to get it off, but this comes off easier than others I have tried. For a low price, this was a really good buy. I like it better than the prestige brands I've bought.

My eyes are burning

I bought this bc it was the cheapest waterproof mascara with the most hype and reviews, but now i know this aint it. So much flake action going on with this mascara. Ive been an avid waterproof mascara user since i started wearing makeup 13 yrs ago, they just hold a curl better most of the time and they dont smudge easily. This mascara was a nightmare. Layering it is a no go bc that causes fallout from how dry this formula is. I tried it twice and both time my eyes would turn pink due to the flakes getting in my eye and scratching my corneas as well as black clumps of flakes sitting under my eyes and cheeks. even after ive washed my face the flakes are still there inside my eyes. This is not what i expected from all the good reviews. My favorite mascara (when used a certain way)

If I'm being honest, I used to hate this mascara because it would flake easily and run if I cried. Recently I decided to retry it but did it differently than I used to and that fixed my issues. I always apply powder to my eye area, on the eyelid and under, because I have oily lids. I also make sure to run my finger over the mascara after applying to get any little bits that aren't that attached to my lashes! By doing these two things I now love this mascara. It stays amazingly, better than a lot of my other mascaras and is cry proof now! It'll stay out even if I take a nap with it on. If you haven't liked it in the past, try out these 2 things and you might change your mind! It's a good mascara and does the lashes well.

So-so Quality

At first everything was great. It lives up to being waterproof let me tell you that much. It is extremely difficult to take off even with tones of makeup remover and a cleanser. It gets a little clumpy inside the bottle about 1.5 months into using. The length it gives me is great and the color is amazing. It did get smudged underneath my eyes at times which isn't a good look. I do love lash princess mascaras but this isn't one of the good ones. The other lash effect one is way better and gave me lashes I didn't even know I had.

Waterproof isn't the problem. Everything else is.

I wanted to love this. Maybe the OG is better but the waterproof is bad. My lashes looked flaky instantly. They felt heavy, lost all curl instantly, which is why I use waterproof, and I found black flakes all over my face throughout the day. I couldn't wait to take it off. It's just not good. Waterproof mascara is hard to remove. Double cleanse, oil, then water. To me, that's a given con that shouldn't matter.Pros: cheapCons: flaky, heavy, breaks lashes, makes lashes look brittle and flaky.
