I've been using Essence mascaras for years. I do own a lot of mascaras and I usually have around 7 tubes. I am terrible at applying false lashes but when I do photo shoots, this one really does help lengthen without making your lashes feel brittle. It's not a tubing mascara. It has nylon fibers in it that help lengthen your lashes. I was hesitant about nylon fibers because they have a tendency to flake loose and end up in your eyeball. I've not experienced fiber fallout or flaking. It holds a curl and it's easy to remove. Essence is one of my go-to brands for mascara because they are affordable and they work.

This mascara outperformed every other mascara I’ve ever tried, including Kiss Me Heroine. It makes your lashes super long and the volume isn’t bad either. I’ve also found that it holds on to your curl.It washes off easily too, doesn’t really clump, and you can build it up if you like, although just a couple of coats will still be amazing.The only negative is that it ends up giving me raccoon eyes on my lower eyelid after a few hours. I have to use it with a makeup setter spray, which is another annoying step I don’t want to have to bother with. And then it only reduces it, not eliminates the raccoon eye.

I really wanted to love this mascara. The formula is wet which didnt work for me. I have very straight asian lashes. I use an eyelash curler to curl them. After curling my lahses and applying one layer of this mascara my lashes went completly straight again. I suppose if you dont have naturally straight lashes this mascara might work for you. I prefer mascara that has a drier formula that way it holds the curl after I've curled them with an eyelash curler. Guess I'll just stick to my regular go-to formulas that I know work.

Essence really hit it out of the park with this one! I got the black, and it's beautifully pigmented with a formula that's right in between wet and dry. As a mascara junkie, I'm always skeptical if a product will actually do what it claims. Well this one does! It creates awesome length and volume while also separating lashes and never looking clumpy! In fact, I'd tried out a different brand mascara right before, which ended up clumping and looking mediocre at best. I decided to layer this Essence mascara over it to see if I could salvage my lash look, and it literally got rid of the clumps and even gave my lashes a slight lift! Definitely a new favorite in my collection and, for the price point, you can't go wrong!
I've been looking for a really good brown mascara but they look really dark. I didn't know essence dropped a new brown mascara and i had to try it. I'm an ukta employee and i can say that this is a really good mascara however, i wish the wand was curl i think it would be easier but other than that , this is amazing! The brown it's literally like a brown and had a little bit of red on it wish I like. A lot of people complimented me and asked me which mascara i used which i said essence. Love love love!
i have been buying this mascara since nov 2023 its now almost sep 2024 i cant express how much i love this mascara, it works so well and lenthens. it's definitely a cheaper alternative to sky high, my only issue with it is it flakes a little after like 4/5 hours. if you dont have an issue with wiping a little mascara off the sides of your eyes this mascaras definitely for you!
This is essence's version of the sky high mascara. Same pink component, same bendy wand tip, and the formula feels the same. I love the brown shade, but my lashes did not like the sky high formula, nor this one. If I try to build it up, it starts to make my lashes stick together. I also did have flakes under my eyes. Essence has some better ones, imo.
Good:- The brown color is very pretty, it's a true brown- When the tube is new the product applies cleanly and without clumps- Cheap!- Stays on pretty well, minimal flaking- Easy to removeBad:- Dries out and gets clumpy super quickly :(- The wand is really flimsy - it bends a bunch during application, I worry it'll break
I have been buying mascara for over 20 years now - both expensive name brand and drug store and nothing beats this one! Lengthens, seperates, and washes off easily in the shower. I get compliments everytime I wear this mascara asking me where I got my lashes done! It is seriously that good. Kudos to Essence for this amazing product at an awesome price!
This mascara is fabulous. I've tried several Essence brand mascaras, both waterproof & non-waterproof. They were all good. I picked this up because it was the only one on the shelf that was brown. Although I like black, on my doing-nothing-special days, it can sometimes appear too harsh with my (extremely) fair complexion. It is a bit wet, must watch for mascara dots on upper/lower lids when first applying, but with the length & volume that I achieve, it's nothing a cotton swab can't fix !!
