I need to preface this review by saying that I am a lip stain fanatic - as in, I do not wear lipstick, only stains. I've literally tried them all and can happily say that this stain is not only a dupe for Benetint, it's actually better! It's a gorgeous pink color that you can build up with more product if desired. I am religious about exfoliating my lips and wearing lip balm to bed, so I had absolutely no patchy spots like some reviews said. It also passed the eating, drinking and kissing tests. And the price point is beyond affordable! I so hope there are more colors to come as I will be buying them all!

This has better ingredients than Benefit's similar version, and I think it gives more color. The applicator brush is also better. With one swipe, my lips are rosy pink. It does dry though, as it's a stain. So just follow-up with lip balm. Perfect.

This is a lovely stain, at least on lips; I've not dared try it on my extremely oily, large-pored 58-year-old cheeks.On lips this tint leaves a very faint almost imperceptible wash of cool light pink. With more layers, it morphs into a fresh and flattering glossy rose pink, imparting a natural-looking "flushed" look that lasts admirably for hours, even through eating and drinking.You will probably have to reapply a few times during the course of the day, but that's easy enough to do.What a Tint is a great reasonably-priced cruelty-free option if you want a good versatile tint. This shade is quite cool, so it may not suit absolutely everyone.Essence seriously needs to offer more shades in this strong product - I'd buy every one of them!

Its an affordable lip and cheek tint. I prefer to use it only on my lips because i noticed that if you want to use it on your cheeks you have to move quickly otherwise it will leave a streak or line of red that wont blend out. I use this product to line my lips and then i use a nyx fat drip lip oil (i think thats what its called) and it looks really good
You cannot beat this, especially for the price. It lasts all day, even after multiple chapstick/gloss applications on top. After applying it does tingle a little on my lips, but I wouldnt say it burns at all. It reminds me a little of the sensation a lip-plumping product would provide, so I dont mind. I hope they never stop making this. I want to stock up just to ensure I never run out in case they do.
I was incredibly impressed with this lip stain, it's very comfortable and lasts hours. I still have tent on my lips after eating lunch and drinking several bottles of water. I highly recommend this stain because it's been the best stain that I've found so far. I really wish there was more shades like a cherry red would be nice but this is a berry and it's still very pretty. It's like a popsicle stain on your lips also it doesn't transfer which is perfect.
I love this formula as a lip stain. I have not tried it on the cheeks and do not intend to. It really does stain the lips and pairs nicely with a gloss on top. It is drying as lip stains tend to be, but it pairs well with a gloss, balm, or oil. Color can also be built up. Excellent stain for the price.
At first I was super excited to use this. I applied it and it was a beautiful color, however I noticed right away that it started tingling. I did ignore it and kept using it for a couple of weeks until one day I just decided not to use it anymore because the tingled got really bad. It has a fragrance but isn't overbearing at all. It doesn't last very long either.
i love essence but this just does not reach expectations at all. this tint leave a pink stain and it does not last either, i had high hopes . i apply, let dry and blot it. 30 mins later i drink out of a bottle of water and all of it but one little part near the center of my lips was gone. i will not be even using again.
the color is so pretty, a rosy pink color with a hint of purple, like a mauve but more vibrant? on the cheeks, it looks pretty and natural, only downside is that you have to blend it really fast after applying but other than that it blends great. i don't like dark lip colors so i only put a little on my lips and it makes the perfect berry lip
