Essie - Nail Polish - Cute As A Button - 13.5ml

Essie nail polish overall is 10/10 I absolutely recommend. In my opinion it's the best drugstore option and well worth the price. I just tried essie polish for the first time 2 months ago. I've been wearing acrylics for the last 8+ so I rarely payed attention to polishes at the store. I was only planning on letting my nails rest for a week or two but I was so amazed with how my nails looked after the first use , I decided to try and strengthen/grow out my natural nails. And conveniently dries super quick. I've been changing my color more often than normal but when left alone, it stays on for almost 2 weeks without chipping!!! Each polish contains a generous amount of polish. I did use an entire bottle of one of the colors but I was going back to that color every other day or so for both fingers and toes so I'd say 40 separate occasions at minimum 2 coats each. The only negative is that I don't have every single color yet!!!!! * Currently wearing "play date" and I've received so many compliments. It's not too dark but it isn't super light either. Its a beautiful color for both summer and fall. I'll definitely be using it the next few months.

Amazing Coverage

I used this nail polish for the first time three days ago and I couldn't be happier with the result! For years I have had acrylic nails and have recently stopped because I don't have time to go and get them done with my new baby, so I decided to invest in some new nail polish and boy am I glad I did!I used the JINsoon Power Coat Strengthening Base Coat, followed by 2 coats of the Essie Light Lilac, then the JINsoon Top Gloss Quick Dry Top Coat, and finished off with the Essie Quick-e Drying Drops Nail Polish Treatment and my nail look AMAZING! They actually look like I've got shellac on. And what's even more amazing, they dried SUPER fast! When it comes to nail polish, I tend to be quite skeptical especially since gel is a go-to. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this Essie polish due to its color, application and wear.In terms of color, this shade looks great with one coat or multiple depending on the look youre going for. And since it has a nice shimmer to it, it doesnt show imperfections or chips either. I love natural colors, so this one was an A+ for me.Because you can really build up the opacity of this polish, this made applying it really easy with three main swipes across the nail. And due to the shimmer, its really forgiving even if you do make a mistake. The brush was also quite flat and wide, which helped with the application process. This polish lives up to what I have grown to love with Essie polishes -- long lasting, easy application, and beautiful colour and shine. I especially love this colour and the shimmer and sparkle in the formula. I had even, opaque application after two coats and got between 5-7 days wear without any chips when finished with the Essie Good to Go topcoat. I have pretty small nails so I can appreciate the small brush for ease of application, and I require virtually no cleanup because it allows for precision. If your like me and love everything glittery, than you definatly need to try Essie nailpolish collection "celebrating moments" colour in "Congrats". I was lucky enough to recieve a #freeproduct to #trywithtopbox. "Congrats" has a silver iridescent shimmer base with perfectly balanced blue and pink glitter throughout. I find alot of times glitter polish tends to bunch up and all the glitter will clump together in one spot. Essie's polish brush fans out beautifully to cover the entire nail in one swipe. All the sparkles are perfectly spread out coating the nail in glitz and glam. This colour polish is absolutly perfect for upcoming graduation ceremony this summer. Essie polish has a very minimal smell thats a welcome bonus. My skin is sensitive and wasent irritated at all when I went over my nail onto my skin. In photos it can appear almost fully silver, but in warm light or direct natural light the colors pop out.I tried both one coat and two coats on a base with 2 top coats to add depth and shine. 2 coats provide much better glitter color, but you run the risk of chunky edges you may need to file before applying your top coat if you like your nail edges smooth.Removal was standard for glitter polishes, best done via the soaking method.Overall, I can see this working both on it's own and as a topper. Play Date & Ballet Slippers

Play Date has been my absolute favorite nail polish for 8+ years. I was the perfect, vibrant shade of light purple. The last 2 bottles I purchased did not have the same vibrancy, chipped after less than one day, and after only 2-3 uses the polish became so thick that it was impossible to apply. I am not sure if the formula was changed, but please fix it to its original perfection. I have tried every other brand's attempt at a similar shade and nothing matches the color of Play Date that I have adored for years. Also, my last purchase of Ballet Slippers chipped just as easily and similarly became thick and difficult to apply. The glitter is so small and so fine it is always catching the light and looks amazing. It dried very quickly which is awesome and also makes touching up any chips very easy. With one coat it lasts 24 hours without chipping. With 2 coats the pink color really starts to come out and it lasted 3 days before chipping.
