Essie nail polish naughty nautical

Essie has always been one of my favorite top nail polish brands. I have a large collection of nail polishes because I love to paint my nails create nail art. When it comes to Essie I love the quality of the formula, it seems to last longer by not chipping or fading as quick as other brands I have bought and used before. They have so many different shades to choose from, and most of the time I can get away with painting only one coat so I don't have to spend hours painting my nails. Normally with other polishes I have do one coat, let it dry completely then another coat and dry again and then a top coat and then let that dry too 🙄 So, I love that when I use Essie I can do one coat, dry then top coat dry! Love the formula and colors so much! It’s a bit pricey but I think it’s worth it to get a nice at home mani, which saves money in the long run! I’m a fan of the puns in the names as well. My only gripe is that I find inconsistencies in formulas and shades from time to time usually depending on the store I go to. Maybe some places have older batches that have been sitting on the shelf longer, I’m not sure. Forever Yummy has been my go to shade of red nail polish for years now, it’s the perfect amount of a rich, apple red without being too orange or pink. I hope they never discontinue the shade! Overall love these polishes and so happy they came out with their new Expressie line of fast drying formula. I had an itch for a grey colored nail polish that was more on the bluer side. Im so happy that Petal Pushers easily popped up on my Google search because I became instantly obsessed with the color after ! I was on a HUNT for this color in stores. After not finding it in my local CVS and Walgreens, I purchased it on Target since I had a coupon :)I think this color is PERFECT for the fall! I'm normally a warm-toned nail polish wearer, but I think this looks absolutely beautiful on the nails.Essie's polish formula is a hit or miss at times, but this polish is definitely a hit. Goes on super smooth, not streaky, opaque in two coats, and wears great ! I use Health Hoof Lacquer Top Coat atop this nail polish and it holds up just the same as other polishes. That's good considering I pick at my nails, am always drying them out with hand sanitizer, wash my hands frequently, and don't really care to "preserve" my manicure. Who doesn’t love essie! the packaging is handy, easy to store and carry around. The scent is okay. Not Too strong. quick drying time. Multiple shades, lovely colours, bright, vibrant and it doesn’t chip. It stays for as long as you want it! great value for money.!

Essie Peach Side Babe is celebrated for its vibrant, peachy-coral hue, perfect for summer. The polish has a smooth application and dries to a glossy finish. However, it may need two to three coats for full opacity. Its durability is decent but might chip without a top coat. Overall, it's a great choice for a cheerful, bright manicure that pops against any skin tone.

I have always been hooked on OPI and China Glaze; for less expensive brands I buy Sinful colors and am very pleased. I finally bought a few different colors from Essie because one of my friends is hooked on the line and was so disappointed! I had a bad experience with every color I've ever tried and tried once again two weeks ago and ended up giving all my Essie colors away because they stink so bad! I always use a base coat, then apply two coats of whatever color I'm using, let it dry and than apply a top coat. No matter how much times I have done with this with every single color I've purchased from Essie, the color chips in two days, MAX! I rated Essie polish a three because of the beautiful color selection but that's all it gets from me; I've bought a beautiful barbie pink color, a baby pink color, and a nude color for work and every single time after about one to two days the color is chipped off and I end up putting it in my junk makeup section. I decided to give Essie one last chance and bought the nude one and applied it, only to have it come off the same day a few hours after application!! I ended up using nail polish remover, saying a few inappropriate words, and giving it to my roommate. I don't mind paying $7+ for nail polishes that actually work like OPI and China Glaze, but paying the equivalent amount for Essie is just not worth it in my opinion. I asked one of my other friends who purchased the same nude for work and tried it what she thought about it and she said she noticed it was goopy and chipped quick as well. I'm sad to know that my friend had such good luck with it, but I'll stick to my OPI and China Glaze...I have never had problems with those polish lines. I am done with Essie nail polish!

And I also do not used the nail polishes provided. I always bring my own because I am a little bit of a germaphobe. I have tried almost every nail polish in existence and I take them very seriously. I used to sit under the lights for 45 minutes waiting for nail polish to dry, and it was horrible after sitting for an hour or more getting them done. Essie is so much faster and depending on how many coats are used it takes a maximum of 20 minutes. I never have an issue with chipping EVER! I've never has Essie chip on my nails. All in all I just have never had an issue with this polish at all. It is beautiful on the nails, it applies with ease, the brush is small and easy to use, it's just fantastic. If you are looking for a super high quality nail polish that is very reasonably priced, this is it. Also did you know Queen Elizabeth will only use Essie? True.

Immediately I noticed the polish was a bit thick but tried it anyway since it was my first time using an Essie product; sadly, I obtained disastrous results. Despite Also using Essie’s base and top coats, the polish cracked or separated from the nail bed. In other fingers the polish did not separate but I still ended up with a lumpy mess. Today I decided to give it another try after adding nail polish thinner. The results are slightly better but I still cannot get a smooth finish. By the time I was done, the polish left in the bottle had dried quite a bit. I do not have this problem with other nail polish brands. Naughty Nautical is from Essie Summer 2013 Collection. It's a teal, shimmer polish. The shimmer is more noticeable in the bottle than it is on the nail. The formula is pretty good. It is highly pigmented, so you will get perfect opacity in 2 thin coats. But the formula is a little thin, making it easy to flood cuticles if you are not careful. I was worried that it would stain my nail, but it didn't (it very slightly stained my cuticles upon removal). Essie polishes have 2 different brush sizes (I think I have read somewhere that thinner brushes are produced in the US and wider one in Europe, but it could be other way around). My bottle has a thin brush, but I prefer their wider brushes, as I have wide nail beds. If the name label is on the base of the bottle the brush is thin.Despite the fact that the shimmer is not as noticeable I was hoping, it is still a very pretty colour and it suits my skin tone, so I would repurchase this polish.
