Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Makeup 2W2 Rattan

I started using the Stay in place for the past few years and really loved it, so I decided to give this a try. I like it and will continue to buy, however I will say it’s not an everyday foundation for me. It’s definitely full coverage will cover my dark under eyes and dark spots and blemishes and a little goes a LONG way with this foundation however after a few hours I can definitely feel it in my face and it gets a bit oily after some hours. I personally like to mix it with the Stay in place foundation. Personally I feel like I get a much better application with my IT cosmetics brush than a beauty sponge.

Best used as a concealer to cover anything!

It’s difficult to find this full coverage foundation but glad to have found it at Bloomingdales. I use it to cover my hyperpigmentation from cystic acne and brown spots for 18 years now. People think that i have flawless skin but it’s really thanks for this foundation. It’s a creamy texture that dries down, so I make sure to really moisturize prior to applying it. It covers everything, including tattoos. I’m happy to find that they increased their color selection. I used to have to mix vanilla with another brand concealer for it to work, but no longer have to do so.

Excellent Coverage Lasts All Day!

I’ve been using this makeup for 15 yrs and always get compliments. Get the right shade to match your skin and you’ll love it. I have olive skin tone and yellow undertone shade is perfect. I’m 50 and have birthmark on one side of face and now dark spots and this covers all flawlessly and not heavy at all nor cakey. Little goes a long way. I apply with fingers immediately after moisturizing my face and so easy to apply and smooth out and no need for concealer. I finish with translucent powder such as Neutrogena brand. If you live in dryer or colder area use more moisturizer before applying and your skin will not look dry nor will it look like stage makeup. Very minimal shine. Honest review!

This foundation for full coverage is definitely the go to!I have quite a pale complexion so i got the 1N3 creamy vanilla, it has a slight warmth to it but not over the top or orange.This has a matt finish so if i could give anyone advice definitely exfoliate and get any dead skin off the face first and any peach fuzz because it will show peach fuzz under certain light.It a thick formula it dries very quickly so you will need to work fast with it. I advise use in conjunction with a moisturiser and a damp make up sponge to apply then the results are flawless and flattering.If u skip using moisturiser and a damp sponge u will look cake like. Hi this is my favorite in the whole world, I love it. I am a dental assistant a d it stays out under my mask and it's flawless. You can not use a powder on top of it at all it does not need one and if you do it does not work out so maybe that's why it doesn't work for all anyway. I was always a medium deep and the shades changed I have been using the regular double wear which is also nice but I still love this double wear I want to get some but I don't know what medium deep is now I believe it is no a shade anymore please help also you only have to use a little bit of this product a little and blend evenly in small fast strokes with a brush works for me so I will do sections it will blend wonderfully if done like this for me it did for years also it doesn't get ... MoreHi this is my favorite in the whole world, I love it. I have had plenty of experience with this and it's a little bit spread out evenly if not it probably will go every where it sets and sets does not rub off but that is what I like about it not everyone needs this coverage but it sounds like from the reviews some tried it and did not know what to expect or was not what they needed either way I need a shade match for the medium deep I use warm vanilla in the other double wear but I that is just a substitute for now plus that shade is not as good of a match as the med deep was thank you

Stick to the cooler shades. If you want the warmth, use a blush over it. It's doesn't mix in with the foundation. I have used this stuff since I was 16 and I'm now 70 and I still get compliments on my skin. Probably because I’ve used it almost every day, even on the beach, and it has seriously protected my skin. I don’t know why they make it sound like its industrial strength for serious skin issues! Yes, it solves these problems, but it’s great make-up for all skin types because it locks in the coverage and the dewiness, and we all need coverage for something!

Perfect Coverage

I will definitely be buying this again!I have always used Estée Lauder’s Double Wear foundation before now but it never quite covered my rosacea as well as I would have liked. I had seen a few YouTube tutorials for the maximum coverage foundation and was impressed! It was on offer on the Boots website so I thought perfect timing!I knew you only needed a very small amount and it has given me the coverage I wanted without having to keep building it up! Perfect! Love Estée Lauder and Boots range of her products! I feel much more confident when going to work now! Highly recommend! 😊

Perfect foundation.

Been using this foundation for 20 years or more and would not use anything else. A little bit goes a long way. It is long lasting and covers all your imperfections. I had lazor surgery 22 years ago for acne scarring and it left me with lighter skin on parts of my face. I was more bothered by this than the acne scars. Thank God I found this foundation. Took me a while to find my perfect match but got there in the end. I must add though when I started buying this foundation it was in a different container which I found better. Also the texture has changed nonetheless I still love it.

Why use anything else

I have used DW Maximum Cover by Estee Lauder for about 15 yrs now. I live in tropical North QLD Australia and there is nothing else that will last on your skin all day. It doesn't clog your skin or wipe off your face and its not greesy or waxy as some other high coverage foundations are. I used this even on my wedding day. I have dry skin amd even so this is still wonderful and works really well with a silicone or oil based primer if you wish to use one. Lots of shades too so you can mix or even contour, applying lightly for a more everyday look or you can apply this so it's a fuller coverage such as for special events or weddings. Absolutely love it.

Wish they would bring back the original!

I use it because I haven't found a new choice yet, recommended by my Doc in the 90's for best coverage for very dark birthmarks, stains, burns, etc. It's different than the original and things that are usually changed so far in my experience become worse! I was wishing it became even better coverage with less makeup, obviously too good to be true. Not counting how expensive it is and price going higher frequently and I have to use more than before. Colors not matching and turning very yellow/orange with not many options not lasting and getting oily all over my face when it used to be just my nose. I tried Dermablend, in the cold it would freeze and also needed much more powder and I have very oily skin.
