Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup

I am always trying new foundations and this one is the newest. I love the coverage and staying power of Estee Lauder Double Wear but it would only look flawless sometimes because it would seem to look flat. I tried so many different approaches with primer and application too. So, I finally gave up and started a search for new foundations to give me a fresh, natural glow that would also be non-transferable. I will give it that, it does not budge! Not sure why I am just trying this hydra rescue but so glad I did. I have only used about 1 pump and then set and it covered my entire face. It doesn't look cakey or flat at all. It blends beautifully and has the same staying power as double wear. It also doesn't feel extremely heavy or like paint as the DW does. I used a brush to apply after using Bobbi brown face base. I set with Givenchy prisme powder and then set with ELF illuminating mist. I am loving it!

Beautiful glow decent coverage

I've been wearing this for a couple years in 1C1 Cool Bone. This Futurist Hydra Rescue foundation is so easy to apply (I use a damp beauty sponge or my fingers on certain areas that need deeper coverage). I'm in my late 60s with dry skin, pigmentation spots, wrinkles and fine lines. This foundation applies with or without primer, goes over my C serum, moisturizer and sunscreen smoothly and evenly, has a lovely dewy glow and nice coverage of uneven skin tone and pigmentation. I detect a very subtle, natural scent (nothing sweet, very subtle), and among the many foundations in my collection (high end and drugstore), this one is in very frequent rotation. Best liquid foundation I've tried

Day wear powder foundation is my go to make up for everyday wear and Pale Almond is my perfect shade but I do like a liquid foundation for when I am dressed up and going somewhere special. I'd tried EL liquid foundation before and was never happy with texture or colour so, I've used a lot of other brands from cheap to very expensive. I was initially attracted by the 45SPF but disappointed it doesn't come in Pale Almond so I bought 1 shade darker (Fresco) Thought I'd try it out for a shopping trip. Applied over Day Wear SPF15 that had been on about an hour (I always let my moisturiser absorb before applying make up) no primer and used brush. Beyond impressed

I have been a bare minerals loose powder foundation girl for as long as I can remember. The person helping me suggested the futurist when I requested something lightweight, light to medium coverage and easy for summer. I didn't want to do concealer and powder on hot days. I have never been a fan of liquid foundation so I was looking for more of a tinted moisturizer. This is exactly what I was looking for without even knowing it. I have combination skin, I use my moisturizer then apply IL Makiage primer, then the foundation, it's flawless. I use my fingers to apply the foundation, I tried application with a brush and also tried a beauty blender but I found that i don't like the end results with either one of those. The pump was great for determining how much I wanted out. I used my fingers to melt it into my skin. I have yet to try it with a beauty blender or brush. When I started to use the product I was amazed at how spreadable it was. I only meant to cover my under eyes, but the product just kept spreading, and had beautiful coverage I normally have to layer on my product, since I tend to have acne prone skin, and a bit of rosacea I like to cover. I didnt have to do this at all with this product. This is the only tinted moisturizer Ive ever used with this great of coverage, and with such an exact shade for my natural skin tone. The product is a little runnier, not as thick as a typical liquid foundation, but Im assuming thats because its a tinted moisturizer, so Id expect it to be thinner. For this reason, Im not sure how a beauty blender would do with application. It might absorb your product. Id recommend either applying first with fingers as a base and then blending or spot blending with the blender. Or I would recommend a brush, and if you get streaked lines because sometimes with a brush thats inevitable then blending out with your fingers or a blender. Also for the record, I dont recommend blending with fingers if you are susceptible to acne prone skin, as touching your face leads to new breakouts. So, if you do like to use your fingers wash really well with a antibacterial wash before applying This product is definitely for women that enjoy a natural looking finish on the skin. For high coverage this would be a nice base, then add your concealer for extra coverage Il makiage concealer is bomb

Love it!

I have used Day Wear foundation for years. During the pandemic I stopped wearing makeup daily and when I started wearing it once in awhile it felt too much like a mask and I couldn't wait to wash it off. It also settled in my fine lines and wrinkles and just was SO matte. Mind you my shade match was perfect though. So i purchased Futurist in my same shade and wow! It matches even better, seriously melts right into my skin. I don't even have to wear it on my entire face, just my problem areas to conceal and blend and it seriously looks and feels like I have no makeup on, like my skin but better, with a great Dewey glow I've always wanted! Love it, great for a novice!

First time using foundation in my life with success. I've tried maybe once or twice in the past and hated it... this is a game changer. Easy, lightweight and comfortable. I prepped with moisturizer and Milk Primer before applying, and it seemed the foundation took to the Milk Primer nicely.Used a blender sponge for application, easy to layer but don't rush! Let it set for at least a minute before adding another layer. I have very dry, damaged, flaky skin around my nose and mouth at present, but it wasn't an issue for this foundation with appropriate prep. If you're having poor results, prep prep prep. Makes all the difference in the world. If you have combination skin, this is the foundation for you. I bought this during the 21 days of beauty salesince it's a costly foundation I wasn'tSure would work for me. Although I have a very oily skin type, I was surprised to see that this hydrating luminous finish sort of foundation did not make me look overly shiny. I enjoyed that it dries down almost powdery on its own while still having a luminous glow. I would describe as a luminous matteFinish just because it dries down nicely and doesnt feel greasy, tacky or slippery even without powder. I of course finish with a powder most days. I will say I think I could make it work even without powder. I feel like it kind of "blocks" oil better than other dewy/luminous hydrating foundations. It's pricey but a win!! I would repurchase. Perfect for dry skin in a dry climate

This is hands down my favorite foundation. I live in central Oregon's high desert and being in my mid 60's have dry skin to start with (I moisturize the heck out of it twice a day). I don't have blemishes or discoloration on my face so I can't speak to its ability to cover imperfections, but I love the way it looks and feels on my face. It lasts a long time, too. I'll catch my reflection late at night and think, wow, my face looks good! Then I remember I used EL Futurist Hydra Rescue earlier in the day. The correct color took me a while to find. I think I finally found 3N2 Wheat after buying some small color samples on Ebay during the pandemic. I think those were in the Double Wear line, but the shade was the same. Place a small drop of it in your bathroom sink or counter and let it dry thoroughly, then try getting it off. I'm sticking with the moisturizing Futurist Hydra Rescue.

I'm noticed after a while of using it that throughout the day it did really settle into my pores and make them stand out. I tried using a primer with it to combat this but then it gave me a weird finish where you could see a slight change in texture and color where my pores were. It wasn't so bad so I continued to use it for a few months until I got sick of it. I think it would be a fine foundation, it just didn't work for me. I've since tried other "hydrating" or "luminous glow" foundations and those in general don't work for my skin. So if you are good with that type of foundation this would probably work for you.
