Misplaced my former estwing pick after 35 years of faithful service. New pick has not failed me.
Probably not what most people would use this tool for but this is my second of this type of tool having lost the first. I live in an extremely rocky area. I can’t garden without the help of such an implement. They are brilliant. This one is expertly made and of the highest quality. Could not manage without it. Gets up rock and breaks all the bad areas into manageable pieces. Excellent.
The hammer seems to be perfect for it's purpose, rock picking. I haven't tested yet. However, it says on it's side "this tool may chip when struck against rocks"...this doesn't seem to make much sense considering it's a geological hammer. My hypothesis is that it is a condition of the US law to avoid suing. I'm not american so I don't know how this works. If there is anyone from the US that could help me on this matter I would be grateful.
