Etude Soon Jung 10-Panthensoside Cica Balm 50ml

I have been using this product for some time now and it has been useful to me to address itchy bumps in my skin due to excessive sun exposure or irritation. I think this is an old stock since its expiry, both 2 tubes, is already on September of this year. The 50ml tube I bought last Sept 2022 from the Etude store here in Lazada has an expiry of February 2025. I would have bought from Etude store but it was out of stock. I expected at least a 2025 expiry. Haven’t tried using it yet. I hope it’s authentic Etude product.

This is my favorite moisturizer, and I will continue to buy it in bulk. I am actually going to request to be buried with it like a Pharaoh. It is so gentle and soothing. My skin is prone to both dryness and oiliness depending on weather, retinol uglies, etc., but this moisturizer is like an ultimate neutralizer. It’s never too heavy and always nourishing. During the winter, I can always count on it to keep my skin bouncy and plump while protecting my barrier function. As far as wear, it performs beautifully under makeup. I would say it’s in the same category as more well-known, Western luxury brands, like Caudalie, Charlotte Tilbury, or Embryolisse. If you’re new to using this product, you might notice it changes texture if it’s mixed with certain skincare products. For example, if I put it on with the Cosrx Snail Mucin, it becomes a little foamy and white. Just let the previous product absorb a little more and apply less moisturizer. Rub into the skin slowly, and this should solve the issue.

A great moisturizer

This moisturizer appears in a balm consistency but is actually very thin. It melts very fast and is not greasy at all. Although it doesn't perform at an occlusive level, I still find that it provides moisture that is light and effective. I have very oily and dry skin, and this moisturizer helps seal in the first-step serums/moisturizers I apply after my face wash. The Soon Jung balm is my last moisture layer right before I apply sunscreen in the morning or is the final step in my night time routine. There is no fragrance. I have been using this product for almost four years. I haven't found anything thay comes close in performance or ingredients which I can tolerate. Excellent!

This cica balm has been a fantastic addition to my skincare routine. It's particularly great for sensitive or irritated skin. Holy Grail moisturizer - sensitive, combo, eczema

Skin Type: Combo-dry, sensitive, eczemaThis has been my go-to moisturizer for the past 3 years. That's also around when my eczema started acting up - I never had eczema until then and had to change up my entire skincare routine (I'm still figuring it out).But between the 3 years, I've tried other moisturizers and I've found myself always returning to this one b/c nothing else calms my skin down & maintains the calm, soothes, moisturizes, and doesn't break me out. This moisturizer works fine on its own but is also a great slugging base.I've also tried the SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream but my forehead ended up breaking out.

Intensely moisturizing!

I've learned to be patient and not expect an overnight difference in skincare, but this is an exception to the rule. My skin is sensitive, and I believe my skin type to be combination - my T-zone is oily, but the rest of my face is dry, especially around my eyes. I use this product sparingly, and a little bit goes a long way. There is no detectable scent. I dabbed this on around my eye area and wore it overnight under a set of re-useable undereye patches, and I noticed a difference the next morning! I hadn't realized that area was dehydrated. I've decided to reserve this for the driest places of my face where a heavier cream is needed. I imagine this would be very helpful in dry climates and seasons.

Love this stuff!

This stuff is amazing. It has such a nice thick soothing balm texture but yet it still manages to sink into skin. So your left with a soft dewy layer after most of its absorbed. I'm just obsessed with the texture of it! It feels soooo nice on my skin, and really helps when my skin has flared up or when it's all raw and irritated from over exfoliating. There's absolutely NO scent. I just wish it came with more in the tube, you only get around an ounce so it went pretty fast for me.

Nice accident

Was suppose to buy the other variant but accidentally ordered this. Very calming on the face. A good quality moisturizer especially for sensitive and acne prone skin. Cica is a good ingredient to add in your skincare routine. Not greasy and very good texture. Priced reasonably for a high quality product. Used under sunblock for daily routine. Can also be used under night cream.

Not satisfied

Not sure why but this irritated my sensitive skin it left it flaming hot and red like a hot Cheeto. It also broke me out and stopped my skin from healing it was so irritating. I gave it to my sister so she could try it and she got the same irritation we both tried it on our bodies and wherever we would apply it our skin would turn red and irritated immediately like a rash. I nor my sister have ever had this reaction to a product before. Some ingredients in this did not work well with my skin I discontinued use and will not be repurchasing. This was not sensitive skin-friendly for me and I'm surprised because it's meant for sensitive skin. Didn't work well for me but someone else might have a different experience.
