Eucerin Sun Gel Cream Oil Control Dry Touch SPF50 50ml

I've found the holy grail, the PERFECT sunscreen for my oily skin! This is the new Eucerin Oil Control Facial Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 with oil absorbing minerals and 5 antioxidants. It's recommended for those with oily and acne prone skin, so I had to give it a try. For starters, I love the pump dispenser. The lotion is white and lightweight, easy to apply, spread and blend in. There's ZERO whitecast, drying clear from the moment you start applying it. At first, it feels a bit sticky and looks a bit shiny – however, it isn't oily or greasy to the touch. If you apply a second or even a third layer, it doesn't pill, not even a bit. I gave a couple of minutes to set and went on with my primer and makeup (no pilling at this point either). It also has sebum regulating ingredients like L-carnitine and this formula is specially made for acne prone skin (but, I believe any skin type can use it since it’s great to skip those nasty breakouts from some sunscreen products). Eucerin products are target to dermatologist, so I believe in their efficacy. My sister is a dermatologist and she swears by this product and so do I. This is by far the best sunscreen I’ve ever used, it’s worth every penny. It’s is a chemical sunscreen and I still don’t understand why @eucerinus won’t bring it to the US. Now, if you’re in Europe and Latin America you can find this in every drugstore where eucerin is sold. BENEFITS: ✅ it’s fragrance, silicone and oil free. ✅ Non-comedogenic, non-irritant. ✅ Easily to apply and non-greasy, can be worn under makeup effortlessly. ✅ High broad spectrum and protection. ✅ Will provide sebum control which mean is perfect for acne prone. ✅ Easy to use in every skin type. CONS: ❌ Not sold in the USA. 10/10 I already have 2 mote bottles in line. Hopefully I am able to find it easier in the USA.

This Sun Oil gel cream is great. When you pump the cream you get a lot of gel, but its exactly enough for half your face. Its a lightweight cream that easily transfers over your skin. Without it getting oily it gives a tiny shiny layer on your skin. I used SPF 30+ and control type ‘oily acne prone skin’. My skin tend to get a lot of break outs from most sunscreens. The next day I didn’t get any. The skin absorbs the cream fast, so you have to work quickly. That’s why its important to reapply frequently if you’re going sunbathing. This one isn’t water resistant.

Am I wearing sunscreen? I can't tell!

I have never tried the Eucerin brand before and I was sceptical about it's claims and the price however I was very plesently surprised. I really liked the packaging and it's a good size for your handbag or travel case. The pump action gives it a good quality feel and only despenses a small amount but a little goes a long way. You have to be quick when you apply as I reckon it dries within 5 seconds which can make it a little tricky to know if you have full coverage or not. It dries so quickly I was able to apply a light powder foundation over the top straight away which is better than my everyday moisturiser!There is only a very subtle suncream smell when you apply and then it's completely gone.This is a wonderful cream for my oily olive skin. Awful for dry, sensitive skin

As a user of the previous tinted suncream I was excited to try this one as I haven't been able to find anything as good since it was discontinued. This cream is nothing like the old one! It's difficult to rub in and very heavily perfumed. I can still smell it 6 hours later. PLEASE bring back the old formula!

Love this sun gel-cream!

The weather has been red hot recently which has given me the perfect opportunity to try out this product and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. What I liked most about the product was the texture and dry touch feeling on your skin, it doesn’t leave that horrible sticky feeling that many other suncreams I’ve tried do. For those with sensitive skin, I have very sensitive skin and it’s worked really well for me with no adverse affects or allergic reactions. I used it safely underneath my make up and it didn’t leave any shine or obvious look on my face which was great and it protected my skin perfectly which is obviously the main reason for using the product. Ruined a perfect product with their "New Formula"

This was the perfect product. No odour and kept skin matte all day long no matter how oily your skin is.However, the "NEW FORMULA with "L-Carnitine" smells like bleach on your skin and stays like that all day long.I contacted Eucerin via email asking why the reason for the change, and the person who got back to me informed me that there was no change made despite this new formula product being introduced.Avoid unless you want to smell like bleach all-day

As someone who has oily skin, sun cream is a nightmare. Not only do I have oily skin, my skin is also very fair meaning sun cream is essential. I’ve tried many products which promised to be oil free, non-greasy, anti-shine and good for breakout-prone skin. Until now I hadn’t found a product which truly ticked all of those boxes.Eucerin have created the perfect product for my skin type and I’m so happy to have found it! At factor 50+ I can rest easy knowing that my skin is fully protected and I have no need to worry about how my face looks throughout the day.The sun gel-cream fully absorbs into the skin so it doesn’t cake up my makeup- it’s almost like I’m not wearing any sun protection at all!I’m so happy that this product exists. Very good sunscreen if you don't wear makeup, should come in a bigger size

This sunscreen is great and I'll be using it longterm. It sits well over moisuriser, its light, non greasy, and does control oil throughout the dayIt's not good under makeup - it pills and balls up. Not too much of an issue for me as i rarely wear makeup during daytime but just something to keep in mind if you're thinking of buyingAlso value for money could be better - it would be great if this came in a big 100ml squeezy tube - 50ml is tiny for a product you're meant to be reapplying multiple times a day

Why has Eucerin reformulated this?

This used to be a perfect SPF, non greasy, fast absorbing, no oilness and best of all never caused me any breakouts. I understand companies reformulate products for various reasons, but to add more than one ingredient that are known to cause acne in some people, I just don't get it (Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate, Glyceryl Stearate etc). I can now no longer use this SPF so will have to search for an alternative. Very disappointed.
