Eufy Cam 2C Pro 2K Add On Security Camera

I purchased this camera to augment the existing Eufy security that I've got. Unfortunately due to an issue with the courier this camera was not delivered. To PB Tech's credit they issued me with a refund promptly once NZ Post acknowledged the issue. I have a number of these cameras already and found them very good. The battery lasts anywhere from 4 to 6 months depending on the number of recorded security events. The range from the Home Base is up to around 70 meters. The picture is clear and detailed. I like that the camera stores the recordings locally on the home base and not in the cloud, with no monthly fee or ongoing costs. At the end of the day the 2K cameras I've got give plenty of detail and are fit for purpose I purchased them for.

It's been a great camera, and a really simple experience with the Eufy app. Also pretty simple to link to Homekit. With a bit of mucking around, also able to link to Home Assistant to do things like use the motion sensor to trigger a floodlight. Recommended!

Classic quality security cameras

these are great cameras for home security we now have 7 around the property. Easy to mount and easy to pair with the base station great clarity as well, highly recommended.

Deeply flawed - motion detection stops working

Deeply flawed. If you view the cameras real time view, quite often the camera will forget to go back to "motion detection" status and so the cameras will stop detecting anything. This is only solved by rebooting the camera. I have 4 cameras and it happens to 3 of them, so it is pervasive. Only now that I never watch the real time feed and only view the alerts do I have any confidence that the cameras will continue to work. Sometimes even a reboot of the camera won't fix it and you have to take it down and pair it with the homebase again. As the cameras do not film 24x7 and only fire off when they detect motion, if they stop detecting motion they stop working completely. Just a nice decoration on the side of your house. Fantastic for security

These are great for detecting movement and security. Easy to install snd add more cameras. Easiest system to use xnd makes you feel more safe and secure.

Great device with a compact, stylish design

After a bit of searching around I purchased the eufyCam 2C so I could ‘keep an eye’ on a remote part of the property and as I didn’t have an exiting setup the critical issue for me was to have a camera that I could ‘set and forget’. The eufyCam2 is a great device but, as I soon found out, it was useless on it’s own and must be used as an additional camera on an existing system. If you’re looking to extend your eufy Security system then this is likely the camera for you. If you’re after something stand-alone then other eufy cameras would be your best bet.

Many faults

Firstly, one eye battery drained out very quickly. Change a new one. Charging very slow charge while only 43%. Human motion only, but shadows and other movement also detected and recorded.

The best of the security camera setups by far!

Having tried and tested no less than three other security camera products, the Eufy system stood out by far. The app interface itself is the cleanest and most professional, setup is incredibly easy and the camera quality and installation was easy. We use motion tracking for notifications and had issues with other brands however the Eufy system works really well.

There are still many improvements need

Overall the camera is good but night mode colour view definitely needs improvement. Also, the storage capacity of 16G needs to be either upgraded or Eufy should have an option for users to attach an external storage for longer recording. Response time & fast loading app are good features. However, integration with Apple Homekit without the downgrade of video quality needs to change.

Value for money

Good cameras for the price. Wi-Fi makes it easy and you can move the cameras around. Simple set up. 2k has clear picture.. more than adequate for around the house.
