All I have received five days later is an acknowledgement of my contact and an item number.The cameras are advised as weatherproof - but a separate statement online suggests that cameras should not be exposed to direct sunlight - despite promotional videos showing cameras set up in open gardens.In summary the software and hardware are of excellent quality and give excellent results.However, Eufy's documentation and videos of the 3c systems and their help service are virtually useless. Decently balanced feature set

Battery life accompanied by motion-detector technology is a nice feature. No-subscription local recording is also nice.What could be better: Software has a few head-scratchers.I like the overall feature set. While a bit of a drag that you must have a hardwire connection between the control base to your router, for me this is not a deal-breaker. I think the motion detection algorithm works well enough. The image clarity is fine for my purposes. Sure, it would be nice to point this thing at the moon and see the land rover treadlines. So too it would be nice to read the license plate of the kid barreling down the street. but I think the image rendering is clear enough to meet my expectations.Battery life is decent enough. Great video quality but limited motion detection distance

If you?re looking for a camera where the detection zone is inside 20?, this is a great camera. 4k video quality is great. The zoom reference is actually a digital zoom but no optical zoom. Some references aren?t clear on this fact. Digital zoom is only cropping the image.Love the size and the battery life. Allows you To move it around easily testing different locations and angles. Will likely connect the solar panel once I finalize the installation location. Looking for a low upward viewing angle to catch people?s faces better.For broader detection range, I prefer the floodlight cameras that are hardwired in. I have three of these. But they are looking down and seldom can see faces.

Nice wireless camera kit with excellent video quality

I used this eufy kit to upgrade from my old 2K wireless cameras (Reolink) for improved picture quality. Overall I've been very pleased with the eufy Homebase 3 and 3C camera system. This is my first time using eufy products but I found the setup and installation process simple and straightforward. I had some initial troubles getting notifications to push to my Samsung Android phone but clearing the app cache resolved the issue.The 4K picture quality from the cameras is very good, although probably not the best in the industry. If you try and freeze fame your recorded videos to capture an image of a person's face or license plate it is still very difficult to get a non-blurry image. The night vision mode works great and you can choose between color night vision using the built-in spot light or the B&W IR night vision; personally I prefer the IR night vision picture clarity. The cameras wake from their sleep state and start recording very quickly, much faster than my old Reolinks. My biggest complaint with the recordings is that eufy is too quick to stop the recording even if you have the setting set to record the maximum 2 min length. The camera will stop once it thinks that all motion/activity is done. So for example, if someone is getting into a car in the driveway, it will stop recording once the person enters the car and start a new recording once the car is in motion and leaving the driveway. If this was a video of someone stealing the car I would much rather have a continuous recording showing up to the maximum 2 minute length every time motion is triggered. Yes this waste more battery but I'd rather charge the camera's more frequently to have more useful security footage.The AI technology works just OK and can successfully identify familiar faces you've added in the app ~50% of the time. Unfortunately, I can't find any way to change the app settings to not push/receive notifications for familiar faces; so instead you still get just as many notifications as if weren't using the face detection which is disappointing. It would be so much better if the app only pushed notifications for unfamiliar people!

I've 2 sets of the 2C systems on my farm and just purchased another. I wonder if any criticism of these system is down to user error from dumb easily frustrated people. It has 15 gigs of storage!! enough for 2-3 months of surveillance storage, simply delete a few weeks worth to free up more storage space - basic stuff. NO CLOUD STORAGE REQUIRED EVER. Also a similar setting to Geofencing can be customized in the options of the security settings. From your phone you can manually turn on the alarm and lights from anywhere - see photos attached. The 2C can easily see license plates and details from 8-10 meters. Instant texts alerts, lots of options to customize different alarms sounds and durations, reliable motion detection. Very satisfied with the 4k cameras and homebase with a few exceptions

I am, for the most part, impressed and satisfied with the performance of the eufy cameras and homebase. I have been running the eufy s300 cameras with the S380 Homebase for two weeks. I like the picture quality, the ease of installation, the wifi capability, the rechargeable cameras, and the large storage capacity of the Homebase.I am a current owner of two eufy security S330 Floodlight Cam 2 Pro and have enjoyed the use of those. That is why I was excited to try these wifi 4k cameras with a storage Homebase that was wifi. Initially, I was concerned that the Homebase would not be wifi capable because they have you set up with an ethernet network cable to your router. It never came back online until I restarted the Homebase. There was not audible alert on the app that the Homebase was offline. During that time the cameras were not recording video, so I lost the video security of those two cameras. I was surprised that I could not add the two eufy floodlights into the Homebase group and therefore take advantage of the storage on one unit. It is nice that I can add a portable hard drive with USB connection for additional storage.I find that the video images on my phone taken with the 4k cameras are clear and crisp. Even with a live view, the picture is clear. I can ask Alexa to show me the camera, and I can see the live view on my tv with the latest Fire TV Cube connected to my Samsung 4K curved screen tv. However, the video quality is poor for some reason. The quality on the tv is far lower than on my phone.I have the cameras set for the light to come on at night when motion is detected. It gives a clear image at night, and the light is very strong and shines far. I would consider adding additional cameras to the setup, and it would be nice if there were a follow-movement camera that was this size to go with it.The setup was easy, but the instructions were not always so clear. Most of the instructions were on the app, which I already downloaded and have been using with my eufy flood light cams. After I set up the Homebase on my network and installed the cameras, I was able to set up the Homebase on wifi and move it to a more convenient location. I did fully charge the cameras before installation.I like the eufy app and with this camera set it seems you have a lot of options. You can see the storage percentage of storage capacity remaining. You can set up the AI image detection. I did put my picture and my wife's picture for recognition. It only does a fair job of recognizing. It probably doesn't get to see my face enough if my head is lowered. The movement detection is a shorter distance than the camera view. I am not sure how close an image has to be for movement detection. The cameras don't give false movement detection, which is good.Overall, I am very satisfied with the cameras and homebase. This would be better for me if I was alerted when the homebase went offline, if I could add my other eufy floodlight cams to the homebase, got a better live view on my tv, and if the AI worked a little better. But I do find the eufy camera systems are good for me, and I will continue to use them and add on to the system that I have.

Well Made, Easy to Use & Setup, Good Image Quality & Battery Life, Powerful AI

This outdoor security camera system is great! The devices themselves feel very well made and don't feel or look cheap. The overall design is also very nice and the mounting plates and screws feel strong and sturdy when installed correctly. This camera system is very easy to setup (once you mount it) and the app does a great job walking you through the process.The image quality is very good in my opinion and what you would expect at this price point. The night vision works pretty well for up close objects and of course gets worse as you go further away, but that is to be expected. I haven't had this system long enough to know exactly how long the battery lasts, but I can say it's likely on the right track to hopefully get the 180 days of battery life as advertised. Battery life will differ depending on how much activity there is in front of each camera, weather conditions, etc.The motion detection is really good on this and after a few tests I found it able to detect movement pretty well. This camera has built in AI and during my initial use, it is doing a good job differentiating between cars, people, and packages. The facial recognition, once setup, worked surprisingly well.The app is very nicely setup and is very easy to use and figure out. In fact, I really like their app compared to other security camera companies. You can download the photos/videos to your phone/tablet and have access to all the settings of the camera. This can be done anywhere you have an internet connection.All things considered, this is a great outdoor security camera system with good image quality and other features that really add to the security experience. Eufy has a great reputation and this system is no exception!

I'm very disappointed in the features of this camera. I was very excited to switch over from Arlo because their service was deteriorating and I didn't want to be stuck with having to sign up for their subscription. But even with Arlo's decreased motion detection, it's still way better than Eufy's. I've set my setting to the highest and the power management to the longest. But it won't detect my dog's movement at home, even when I see he's changed places, but there's no recording. This is one of the main reasons we have a camera, is to watch what he does during the day. So with this obvious missed detection, I have to wonder what else it's missing with my other security cameras placed throughout my property!
