Purchased the Homebase 3 along with 4 cameras in two separate bundles in order to get the best pricing. Install was extremely easy. Firmware update was automatically detected and installed. Mounting of the hardware extremely easy. Video and audio quality is great! I’ve previously used the Arlo pros which are nice but these are so much better. Can’t say enough on how much I like these. I’ve also added a 2 TB hat drive to the Homebase 3 and now just bought a door cam. I’ve become extremely please with the Eufy brand. Nice products and no monthly service or cloud fees! What is not to like!

This home security center is basically just a Digital Video Recorder (DVR). Yes, you can link your Eufy cameras with it by dismounting them and pushing the link button. However, the HomeBase does not have any kind of Graphical User Interface (GUI) or home page. It does not provide any kind of security report. The AI facial recognition does not keep the cameras from sending multiple warnings that "somebody" (me) is in the backyard, or front yard or sideyard. All it does is alarm when it gets triggered by the cameras- which quickly became a nuisance and I turned it off. I added a hard drive to the unit and there is no indication that it is working or not. It finally came almighty long awaited Homebase3. I have my eufy battery powered doorbell S330 connected, 2 setCam S40, 2 set soloCam c pro C210 and 3set Cam E220. All working great no regrets I added 1 terabyte HDD The doorbell is super great performance, I recommend using it with wired cameras it works better. No regrets so far.N/BThis product support only 2.4ghz. Too bad it doesn’t support WiFi with dual system like 2.4ghz and 5.0. It must be a 2.4 device very disgusting, if eufy can upgrade this it will be very good because I have WiFi 6. I have to go buy another device entirely to eneble it work, paying for a separate network because it’s not compatible with WiFi 6

This review is based on an assumption max frame rate is 30fps. I haven’t received an answer to this question. At the price point it would be inline. A quick analogy frame rate is similar to sampling rate in the audio world. The motion picture industry standard is 24 frames per second of an image. In surveillance you take max frame rate and divide by the number of cameras. Typically and at more cost for a 16 camera device 60 and 120fps are available. Let’s take as an example 4 cameras. This puts frame rate at 7.5 frames per second. You want to be able to extract a clear image for identification purposes. However at this frame rate it is near to impossible. I've got the 3 camera Eufy 2C with Homebase 2. Quite honestly, it's great. I previously tried 2 different generations of Arlo and the monthly fee thing just didn't work for me. Fine if you've got loads of disposable income but here in NZ wages are low & cost of living high so that's not gonna happen.I was looking at upgrading to Homebase 3 but I can't justify it. I bought the S380 for recording video locally from my smart drop. When I bought the S380 and an SSD, I noticed that I couldn't connect. I called them and asked what the deal was and the lady promised that they were releasing the update the end of May 2023, so I figured I'd just keep it since they were going to release the update. Nothing happened in May. I lost $200 plus another $100 for the SSD because it was too late to return them. Called in July and they said they still don't have a timeframe on it. Asked them what they're going to do for the customers that spent all this money on something they said was going to work in a month but never did. All I heard was I'm sorry. I think the rollout could've been better and the good people at Eufy probably learned from that, but they make EXCELLENT products and stand by them.
