All I have received five days later is an acknowledgement of my contact and an item number.The cameras are advised as weatherproof - but a separate statement online suggests that cameras should not be exposed to direct sunlight - despite promotional videos showing cameras set up in open gardens.In summary the software and hardware are of excellent quality and give excellent results.However, Eufy's documentation and videos of the 3c systems and their help service are virtually useless. For example if the face isn't recognized then it can set off the alarm.There seems to also be complaints about if the camera gets stolen then any person can simply reset the camera to their advantage.

Break down just after warranty period.

I bought this product plus 2 additional cameras. One camera stopped working with an error message "Failed to Request (-204)". When I research into this error, it appears to be a common error with Eufy. As it was under warranty, JB Hi-Fi replaced it. A second camera stopped working just outside of the warranty period. Eufy support refused to replace it and said it's due to wear and tear and "unfortunately, as we do not have a sales or after-sales support system in Australia, including warehousing, logistics, or repair facilities, our capacity to offer a direct remedy is limited". So, after spending $320 for one camera, it ended in the garbage bin. Rubbish product for the price. Buy a professional product ... not a toy.

Excellent Security Camera System

I like everything about this camera security system except the price, but it's NOT overpriced I'm just cheap!Pros:1. The system was easy to add to my home network.2. Great addition

I had no problem connecting them to the home base ?. It's been over a month now and the battery holding strong.I am a fan of the eufy system knowing I have no subscription fee's and everything is stored in house ( at home in the home base ?) no third parties or cloud. Yes you pay the upfront cost but for the long run this is what I want. Plus people, pet, vehicle detection is included with the AI no need to pay more for those features every month like other providers. Some will cost extra a month for pet, vehicle, person detection on top off the subscription fee.I will be adding more cameras in the future just like I did with these.Started with the eufy cam ? ? 4 with home base. From drive way to the yard to the home. Yes I am still amazed by the distance of the cameras with some 100' + away from the home base.The B&W night vision to me is better than using the spotlight for color. It seems to show more and further distance. Plus I am not alerting the night wild life. But if viewing live through the app it works good when you activate the spot light. If you are viewing live you have the option to start recording.I will say as a side note I had to go through the app and disable the motion alarm. Since that's a setting activated right outta the box for this ?C cameras. I don't remember the eufycam ? being that way. The ?C is listed for 6mo battery life unlike the eufycam? with solar panel that says it only needs 2hrs a day of sunlight for indefinite use or 365 days on one full charge.I charged the ?C for 8-10 hours before realizing they were at 100%As far as compatibility with the home base ? I have so far only ordered all ?K cameras to date. But if you go through the app for adding device or camera there is a whole list of the cameras from the home base ? system that are compatible. Yeah there cheaper, but max out at ?K for video quality. Don't get me wrong ?K is still better than 1080P but if you have a way to view ?K it's worth the extra money. This all my opinion and individual results may very and all experiences are subjective.

Great new cameras!

The product itself is great, I purchased these because I liked that it was both 4K and had the spotlight feature on it. That would be a major deterrence towards anyone attempting to approach vehicles parked in our driveway at night. I am happy with the picture of the camera and love the spotlight feature, I also have it hooked up with a Eufy solar panel so it stays constantly charged at 100%. I remain loyal to Eufy thanks to their no monthly subscription fees and also there have been a few occasions I have had to contact customer support with some issues, and their customer service/support is absolutely top-notch! Nice wireless camera kit with excellent video quality

I used this eufy kit to upgrade from my old 2K wireless cameras (Reolink) for improved picture quality. Overall I've been very pleased with the eufy Homebase 3 and 3C camera system. This is my first time using eufy products but I found the setup and installation process simple and straightforward. I had some initial troubles getting notifications to push to my Samsung Android phone but clearing the app cache resolved the issue.The 4K picture quality from the cameras is very good, although probably not the best in the industry. If you try and freeze fame your recorded videos to capture an image of a person's face or license plate it is still very difficult to get a non-blurry image. The night vision mode works great and you can choose between color night vision using the built-in spot light or the B&W IR night vision; personally I prefer the IR night vision picture clarity. The cameras wake from their sleep state and start recording very quickly, much faster than my old Reolinks. My biggest complaint with the recordings is that eufy is too quick to stop the recording even if you have the setting set to record the maximum 2 min length. The camera will stop once it thinks that all motion/activity is done. So for example, if someone is getting into a car in the driveway, it will stop recording once the person enters the car and start a new recording once the car is in motion and leaving the driveway. If this was a video of someone stealing the car I would much rather have a continuous recording showing up to the maximum 2 minute length every time motion is triggered. Yes this waste more battery but I'd rather charge the camera's more frequently to have more useful security footage.The AI technology works just OK and can successfully identify familiar faces you've added in the app ~50% of the time. Unfortunately, I can't find any way to change the app settings to not push/receive notifications for familiar faces; so instead you still get just as many notifications as if weren't using the face detection which is disappointing. It would be so much better if the app only pushed notifications for unfamiliar people!

I went with this combo as I really liked the newer homebase 3 (all products connected to the base with ease including 200 series devices). Also after initial setup (plugged into router) you can make the base wirelessly connect to your home network (so base can be placed anywhere unlike a fixed solution). I purchased a SATA drive separately (higher capacity for less money) but it was easy to install and storage management system had a single button format tool (if needed). Mobile phone app (free) is well designed with many additional feature I wasn’t expecting. My research paid off and even at a bit pricier solution, catch a sale and you will not be disappointed either.

Solid & great for starters

If you’re looking for a solid security camera this one is good for starters. The design is nice and the camera & home base are durable. Easy set up that only took a couple of minutes. The camera quality is good and I am very impressed with the small but important features such as face recognition, two way audio, and quick/ easy set up. I will be actively giving updates about this product. Also to get a tad sentimental, if you’re looking for a good security camera please do not hesitate and buy one. If it’s not this one then find another one. An unfortunate chain of events occurred right in front of our home. If we would have had a camera it would’ve caught everything. I encourage you to do your research and find a suitable camera for your home. Don’t wait any longer.

The overall design is also very nice and the mounting plates and screws feel strong and sturdy when installed correctly. I haven't had this system long enough to know exactly how long the battery lasts, but I can say it's likely on the right track to hopefully get the 180 days of battery life as advertised. This camera has built in AI and during my initial use, it is doing a good job differentiating between cars, people, and packages. The facial recognition, once setup, worked surprisingly well.The app is very nicely setup and is very easy to use and figure out. In fact, I really like their app compared to other security camera companies. You can download the photos/videos to your phone/tablet and have access to all the settings of the camera. This can be done anywhere you have an internet connection.All things considered, this is a great outdoor security camera system with good image quality and other features that really add to the security experience. Eufy has a great reputation and this system is no exception!
