Eureka Mignon Specialita Coffee Grinder (White)
One of Eureka's most popular grinders and with good reason. The Mignon Specialita's compact size matched with its 55mm hardened steel burrs, means it's perfectly suited to small commercial venues or for home use; but it truly excels in speciality coffee shops.

Purchased this Eureka Specialita grinder from WLL after getting recommendations from sales reps from multiple companies. The grinder is super easy to adjust and has a very bright, easy to read screen. Kudos for that. The Specialita is quieter than my old Rancilio Rocky, and produces more consistent grinds. The portafilter support functions just fine, but is made from punched metal with rough (not sharp) edges. Functional, yet unattractive. Seems like an afterthought. My only major disappointment is the hopper: It is made out of thin cast plastic with an extremely tight fitting lid. The lid is tight, not for precision, but because there is a slight warp in the geometry of the thin plastic hopper, which creates pinch points. The lid needs to be pried with the ... MorePurchased this Eureka Specialita grinder from WLL after getting recommendations from sales reps from multiple companies. First thing I noticed, this guy is heavier than I expected. I liked the steppless grind size, the dissadvantage here is that if you switch between beans or brewing method you will have to dial in from scratch (no easy way to know which grind size you ended up with). I just drink espresso so it works great for me. Is quiet and quality seems great except the hopper (more on that later).Surprisingly, I dialed it in on my first try (17 grams in, 31 seconds to get 34 grams out) but I have since adjusted a bit as my beans got older. I single dose, so I will eventually get a bellows for it. Rather than grinding directly to the portafilter I have a dosing basket so is not as messy.

Iv'e had this grinder for 18 months. Overall pleased. I don't waste as any beans now that I have a timed grind. I regularly clean the burrs, however after a year the motor would seem to seize/slow. Hmm. Removed the bottom burr (normally I just remove the top to get to the bottom to clean it). Under the bottom burr is just enough space for oil/bean dust to cake up. This mixture was so densely packed in this space it was the obvious source of the problem. After cleaning this out it worked great, and now I take this extra cleaning step about once every 3 or 4 months. FYI - the nut holding the bottom burr assembly is left-hand-thread. Use a small piece of wood dowel (from the front, where the chute assembly is removed) or similar to stop the assembly from spinning while ... MoreIv'e had this grinder for 18 months. Overall pleased. This is a really nice almost perfect grinder. The key thing that holds it back from a 5-star rating imho is that the hopper doesn’t like small portions of beans. I invested in a silicon single dose funnel/bellows kit and it makes a HUGE difference. In my opinion the machine should be available with this as an option. That being said, it’s solid, virtually vibration free, very very quiet (like 51 dB or so) and so easily adjustable. I have dialled in my reg and my decaf beans equally efficiently and replicable. I love this grinder and it will have to be pried from my cold, dead, crema-stained fingers.
I am enjoying this grinder immensely. After having a trusty Rancillio Rocky for 7 years I knew it was time for an upgrade. Boy, what a difference. I loved the Rocky for what it was but the Turbo grinds quickly with no clumps and it is very quiet. My espresso tastes so much better- did not change my beans or my espresso machine (yet). Great size for small kitchens. Very happy with my upgrade. Highly recommend.
After buying multiple "cheap" grinders because it was hard to spend $650 at the time I totally regret not waiting to just buy this one. I love this grinder, the quality and consistency of the grind is so much better than what I had before. I feel like I wasted the $400 total I spent buying other grinders in the past, I should have just went with this one. If you are just starting out, I recommend just going with this. Even with an appliance level espresso machine, this grinder will improve your espresso shots.
Well made, quality craftsmanship, the grind quality is great you can dial in any espresso just the way you want. The adjustment wheel could be easier to use. There is some retention, I would not classify it as low retention. I expect to have this forever, the Specialita has a build quality that is amazing. It's a machine you want to own, understand and maintain. It's beautiful in the way it works, the thought that that went into it and the materials in which it is made. I'll pass the love of espresso to the next generation...along with this grinder.
After seventeen years spent with our Rocky grinder (with a burr replacement halfway), grinding two to three espresso's worth of beans every day, we were more than ready for a new espresso grinder. I'd long ago gotten frustrated with the lack of fine-tuning available on the Rocky, so I turned my sights on getting a grinder that had stepless-grinding capabilities. Since we prefer to use our grinder in a single-dose kind of way (never keeping beans in the hopper and carefully measuring out enough beans for just one double-basket full) I wanted to find something that excelled in the zero-ground-retention department. When I stumbled across a random review on YouTube showing the Specialita with after-market 3-D-printed bellows, I was intrigued. I checked Etsy and, sure enough, found several sellers offering their Mignon compatible bellows. Promising! Since WLL's tests (and tests by others) showed that the Specialita didn't have a ton of ground retention, I was sold. (The Ceado E5SD Single-Dose Coffee Grinder was drool-worthy and a definite contender, but I couldn't justify spending the $1350.) I couldn't be happier with the Mignon Specialita. It is super quiet, good-looking, well-built, and churns out exceptionally fluffy espresso grounds. It beats the pants off of our old Rocky and we are THRILLED with it. I don't doubt that it will last just as long as, if not longer than, our previous Rocky. (Incidentally, the bellows I went with is by Booshie Creations. I love it.) Using the Acaia Lunar espresso scale and Espro calibrated tamper to carefully dose and tamp my portafilter basket, I'm getting more consistent shots than ever! We love WLL and have purchased nearly all of our espresso machinery and paraphernalia from them, including our previous well-used Rocky.
Love the Specialita! Upgraded from my breville smart grind pro, to go along with my Bezzera Crema … it’s been next level game changing. I run downstairs every morning to pull my first espresso of the day. Highly recommend the Eureka Specialita. The interface is very user friendly and very helpful!
This is a good grinder. It's solid, and much quieter than my Baratza Preciso (which has amazing customer service, is twelve years old, and is now our dedicated drip coffee grinder). It grinds at about 1g/sec at my espresso grind. I didn't bother attaching the portafilter holder as I grind directly into a distribution hopper and then into the portafilter. The activator is easily accessed with this hopper. All in, I am happy with my purchase.
