Euroflex Vapour M4S Hybrid Steam Cleaner

Thus is a very versatile machine. It is amazing on walls, skirting boards, floors,glass and tiles. I've used the little round brush to refresh carpeted walkways and to lift carpet stains. It also lifts those depressions in carpet from furniture. I wish it had a water level gauge and a furniture head. Buy extra cleaning pads. It's a little difficult to push around. Waiting for the tank to cool before refilling is a little annoying. Overall I love it.

I must admit that I may have started using this appliance with incorrect expectations - I expected it to be the indoor equivalent to a pressure washer, but that is not what it is or what it does. I expected to be able to blast stubborn stains on my floors and have them instantly liquify and disappear, but, again, that was not the case. It does do a great job of cleaning glass tabletops and windows with the included squeegie attachment (be sure to have a cloth at the ready as it will leave a fair amount of water behind, especially if the glass is cold), and the jet attachment does break up some of the larger bits of stuck on gunk. But this unit is not a replacement for a traditional mob and bucket. As I noted, some of the more subborn marks on the floor still need detergent and some elbow grease to lift, which this does not do. The length of the hose joining the handpiece and the body is the right length for using it as a floor mop, but is a bit short once you start trying to clean windows with it. The process of switching from floor mode to handheld mode is not simple or easy (you have to disconnect the handpiece, connect the appropriate attachment, use it, then disconnect the attachment and reconnect the handpiece to the longer handle from the base unit). So switching between jet and mop is not simple. Even with the steam pumping out of the base, it does not simply glide across the floor. You have to really push it, or semi-lift the head so it doesn't grab and hold. The steam reserviour doesn't have any kind of pressure indicator on it, so if you need to refill the relatively small amount of water it holds onboard partway through cleaning, you need to be careful opening up the cap as steam will shoot out. As I said - I couldn't say that it is perfect. I will certainly continue to use it - our glass table and windows have never been cleaner, and when I can use it on the floor, they are also notably cleaner. But, for bigger messes, the old mop and bucket will still be needed.

If you - like I - had given up after experiences with dribbly, under-powered steamers, you really need to give this one a go! The Euroflex M4S has completely changed my mind, as probably the best floor-cleaning tool I have ever used, and that includes (my first steamer plus) every variant of conventional wringer-mop & bucket, "spin-mop", sponge-mop/scourer, etc. Even though a single pass with the Euroflex is slower than just swishing a mop over the same area, you need to consider the complete cleaning, rinsing and drying process. My earlier steamer left the floor too wet. All mop variants need to soak the floor to get to the grout, followed by several water changes and rinses, and then ages to dry. The pad is embarrassingly dirty after trialling the Euroflex on what I thought was a pretty clean floor :-) Very happy to note that the pad is washable ...
