The heat that radiates from the compressor along with the limited cooling surface in the smaller compartment means the fridge doesn’t cool properly. When set at 0c the area above the compressor is actually 7 degrees. I set this to -18 and let it run 24 hours then I filled it with frozen food whilst inside an air conditioned room and after 3 days the frozen food thawed. In my opinion this is dangerous and will cause food to go off or even worse food poisoning.

Very happy with this latest fridge/freezer. It is versatile and has many cool features, such as being able to switch between fridge and freezer and operate it by Bluetooth from your mobile phone. Uses little power, which is important when traveling.

The Evakool fridge rapidly cools and uses minimal power from our 12 volt system. The dual zone is really handy to allow either side to be used as a fridge and/or fridge. The delivery time from caravan rv camping was quite quick and the price was very competitive. I would recommend.

Love the EvaKool fridge/freezer. Because of our ute having a roller we couldn't find any other dual zones that would fit underneath. This one was the perfect height to fit and we even have it on a slide out. The fridge and freezer compartments are great size.
Great fridge freezer can turn off each section when not using and Bluetooth is great, digital temps n batt voltage also a perfect feature and being able to open lids on both sides is mint. All with free postage
Perfect fridge for my ute with a roller shutter. Did plenty or research before buying. The fridge hasn’t let me down. Great features, versatile lids and the ability to change compartments fridge/freeze or the ability to switch off one side is fantastic. Fridge weight isn’t to heavy either.
It a very nice single zone fridge freezer with a steel case that fits full sized drink containers with ease, it's very quiet and smooth running fridge that has two power modes that will cycle at -18°c in 30°c . This 47 downunder does not have a drain plug like the bigger models in this line state, it seems that it's very good on power, and cools down quickly from off and hot 28° to 2° and cold in under 10min and cycling, then to -18° freezer and cycling in another 20min , on economy mode I've seen maximum of 65w and on Max it's 83w. The led inside of the fridge is powered up even when the fridge is switched off on the control panel, it does turn off when the lid is closed but if you leave the lid open thinking it been switched off because the panel has gone black and turned off if it's still plugged into power the led will still be on , while the fridge is on the display on the control panel does not sleep or dim so this gets a bit bright at night , the lid can go on to open from either side and to do this is only a matter of opening up all the way pull up and it comes out of the hinge holes, its a tough plastic lid like a a esky or ice chest that is strong enough to sit on, I like that the downunder line is made and assembled and tested in Queensland aust at the evakool factory on the Sunshine Coast. So for so good.
Have tested all it's features. Works very well. Good size ( it's the biggest that fits my slide in the ute) Being able to remove the lid easily is a great idea The cover is great but the lid bit is a bit small and so , hard to fit.
Having an old 30l Engel that's been bulletproof I needed more room for longer trips and Having a ute ( Isuzu DMax X-terrain) with a roller cover that restricts fridge height it was a pleasant surprise to find a fridge that fits with the slide.There is ample room for multiple weeks worth of food and drink, easy to read and use controls and the app is handy to adjust things on the fly.It uses bugger all power, I've been using the smaller compartment set at 0 deg for a week now with drinks and food in it and in 1 week(7 days) it's used 64 Ah.I'm not sure it's super insulated as the turned off compartment fluctuates with ambient temperature a lot and overnight will cool down to outside temp then warm up as the air gets warm. Time will tell how it handles the heat but it certainly keeps things plenty cold enough with ease.Quickly cooling from 14 deg Celsius to 0 in less than 30 mins.It's barely on once it reaches temperature, given it's quite cool outside already it will be interesting to see how it runs when it's hotter.I love the led lights in the compartments which have come in handy at night searching for food items.If you want a good fridge without breaking the budget I can highly recommend this one.It certainly performs as good if not more efficiently than the old Engel.
We have not put our fridge to use as yet, however it seems to be robust and well constructed. If the other 2 Evercool fridges we have are any indication, this one should be just as brilliant.The order process was easy and the fridge arrived in double quick time. The added bonus is the Australian made logo, gotta love Aussie made. Pricing for Evercool products is very competitive and build quality is excellent.Highly recommend.
