Set with 2-ply tom skins. The thin oil film between the layers ensures a classic sound with short sustain and the suppression of unwanted overtones. Hydraulics are very easy to tune. The two-ply Evans Hydraulic drumheads have a thin oil film between the two plies so that unwanted overtones are suppressed. A classic sound with short sustain. Tight tension for a rather muffled beat or loose tension for a more "slapping" sound. Hydraulics are notoriously easy to tune, making them the perfect substitute for difficult drums and making life easier for players with little tuning experience.

The BEST heads I've ever tried. I've been drumming for 44 yrs and have been looking for the right heads for a long time now for my DW kit. After trying many really good heads, these are the cream of the crop. If you are looking for that focused attack(tune easy also) with a low end sound(no moon gels required) then these are the ones to buy, you wont regret it!

Again, I really like the sound these hydraulic heads give on my Tama kit. They really help deepen the smaller toms. 8", 10", 12", 14" &16" toms all sound great. Don't need much dampening at all for live work. Will have to wait and see on recorded stuff. If you want that deeper sound, these are the ones to get.

These really are excellent drum heads. These replaced a set of Remo Coated Emperors. They have much more rapid decay and a more focused and defined attack. If you're looking for that Quaker oats can sound, these are great.

I cannot tell you enough how great these heads are. The sound is perfect! Low, heavy sound out of the toms, just what I was looking for. I love hydraulic heads, and these are great! For the price, you can NOT do better than these. I highly recommend them.
These drum heads sound deep and warm Excellent for Rock I'm very happy with them
Great value Tom pack, (actually slightly cheaper than I could get it through a trade supplier!)These sound great, last well and are pretty much the standard choice for Tom heads.
Love the sound of these heads. I hate having to add additional muting/muffling to toms when I mic them up. These heads sound phenomenal right out of the box. Great tone with just the right amount of sustain. You and your soundman will love them.
Started playing Evans Hydraulic back in the late 70's! Will not use any other head!"OLD SCHOOL" Sound - Great for Studio or LIVE!Simply the BEST!Best value you will find
Although these may not seem designed for resonant use I can tell you they are my favourite. They are a very resonant drum head with beautiful tone but controlled ring that is easy to control. I use these in combination with a Remo Pinstripe Batter head on a Gretsch Maple Renown- a fabulous combination that always attracts high praise. Highly reccomended
I have used these hyd heads for what must be 20 years or more. These things take that "ring" out of the drum quite nice and as mentioned in the listing, it gives your drums a fat sound. I swear by these heads and when others play on my kit they always say how nice my drums sound. I tune them and as with any drum, from time to time a little twist on the rod is needed. They last forever, not kiding here, I have had some for 5 years and only replaced them because I felt it was time. They are nice and quiet when playing jazz type and powerful if really laid into. You can't go wrong with these heads, give them a try and like myself and many others I have showed these to, they love them and you will too. I play a 25 piece vintage ludwig/zildjian kit...50 year old plus, ...Β MoreI have used these hyd heads for what must be 20 years or more.
