This BBQ is absolutely superb. It is beautifully made from heavyweight materials and looks fantastic. The main BBQ arrives fully assembled, just needs the thermometer / handle attaching. The stand then takes about 20 minutes to put together. All feels substantially higher quality than the equivalent very popular brand(s) around this price.The main benefit of this BBQ is that it gets extremely hot and has extremely responsive heat controls. This enables cooking with the lid up or down; on most gas BBQ's lifting the hood results in excessive heat loss as the burners cannot put out enough heat to keep up.The enamel-coated cast iron plates are excellent and non-stick when used properly. This enables cooking with the lid up or down; on most gas BBQ's lifting the hood results in excessive heat loss as the burners cannot put out enough heat to keep up.The enamel-coated cast iron plates are excellent and non-stick when used properly. They cannot be cleaned with a metal brush due to their materials, but burning off any residue for 5 minutes or so at the end of cooking, followed by brushing down with a stiff nylon bristled brush when completely cooled down (i.e. prior to next use) makes them very easy to maintain.Quality control seems to be an issue; our first arrived with a large crack in the side-servery, but this was rectified by John Lewis with a replacement.Overall couldn't be happier with our purchase. QC aside, the only suggestion I'd have is for Everdure/Kettler to produce a very stiff nylon brush themselves, it took me quite a while to find something appropriate online. Without one its nearly impossible to maintain the plates properly.

This one cooks very evenly, so there's less need to 'rotate' items on the grill.On a low setting with the lid down I've successfully done a slow-cooked leg of lamb wrapped in foil. There are some good videos on the internet that give cooking tips and hints for this model, worth looking up.I bought the flat plate separately to give me the option for smaller/more delicate items and very pleased I did. Fish is a breeze, bacon and eggs for brunch on a sunny morning came out a treat.I agree with a previous review that it takes a few goes to fully get the hang of setting the temperature to suit different foods, but once you've got a feel for it it's plain sailing.It does take a wee bit of time and patience to construct, but the instructions are good and I'm not willing to knock off a star just for that. Worth the effort. Hands down the best BBQ I've owned.

The FORCE 2 is reasonably simple to put together - certainly easier than some of the cheaper BBQs you can buy. Having two people helps but I managed to do it on my own without too much of a struggle.Its built from premium materials and is solid, stable and feels well made.Design-wise the FORCE stands out from the crowd but it's not just a matter of style over substance as it cooks as well as it looks.Food remained moist and the temperature was easily controlled via the burner dials. Cleaning was easy and the removable hot plates came up as new after washing.So far there's really nothing not to like.
