Read lots of reviews and watched a video so pretty sure about this before purchasing. The bbq is robust and well made (1hr putting together)There's nothing to rust. The griddles are heavy duty & you do need to move the food at first to keep from sticking but I think it's one of those practise makes perfect things!Pizza was amazing 5minutes at 350 degrees !Heats up really quickly and chars meat better than our old one.We purchased the flat plate not used it yet but will be really handy and will also use it for keeping food warm as no rack but that's fine. The actual cooking area is bigger than I thought. The design is well thought out as the burners can't get fat etc dripping on them which stops spitting etc.We have used this loads already in a month and I'm ... MoreRead lots of reviews and watched a video so pretty sure about this before purchasing. The quality of this bbq is terrible. I had a replacement hood after a few months and then a replacement unit in 2019 due to poor surface. Was told by Harvey Norman I had a five year warranty after getting the second replacement in 2019. Contacted them with the same surface issues 2.5 years later and they will not replace or help. The surface paint is shocking. The inside of the bbq is bubbling. They said this is due to overheating. My first two did the same thing. I do not overheat and the side it is bubbling on now is the side I don't even use. They said they will not cover as it must be external elements. It is under a covered deck and with a cover on. I rarely use it. Wish I had bought a Weber. This looks ready for the rubbish tip after two years. Many of the ... MoreThe quality of this bbq is terrible. I ummed and ahhed about this during my research for a replacement BBQ, as quite expensive and also I'm not big on celeb endorsements. But having bought and used it quite a bit, I agree with a previous reviewer that Heston backed a winner with this! The thing I love most, apart from its good looks, is that it genuinely DOES heat up super quickly to a really high temperature (where required). Searing meat has never been easier. Lovely char marks on the outside, but without over-cooking the inside. Also performs well with veggie items, eg halloumi, aubergine slices, courgettes, veg kebabs, etc.My previous three BBQs, none of them particularly budget buys, suffered from the common syndrome of 'hot spots', whereby food cooks faster on one part of the grill than ... MoreI ummed and ahhed about this during my research for a replacement BBQ, as quite expensive and also I'm not big on celeb endorsements. This one cooks very evenly, so there's less need to 'rotate' items on the grill. On a low setting with the lid down I've successfully done a slow-cooked leg of lamb wrapped in foil. There are some good videos on the internet that give cooking tips and hints for this model, worth looking up.I bought the flat plate separately to give me the option for smaller/more delicate items and very pleased I did. Fish is a breeze, bacon and eggs for brunch on a sunny morning came out a treat.I agree with a previous review that it takes a few goes to fully get the hang of setting the temperature to suit different foods, but once you've got a feel for it it's plain sailing. It does take a wee bit of time and patience to construct, but the instructions are good and I'm not willing to knock off a star just for that. Worth the effort. Hands down the best BBQ I've owned.

It certainly lives up to the claim of being a powerful BBQ, great for searing a steak quickly or finishing something off with a sharp blast to give it some extra colour. The build quality is generally really good, the lid is solid, the hinges are strong and smooth, all most of it just feels like it's made of decent materials, but there are a few bits that let it down. First up, the dials are a bit loose and flimsy. The dials themselves look great, but they flop around like they've been attached to a fitting from a $100 BBQ. Also, the main part of the stand is plastic. To be fair it's strong and solid, but it's still plastic and won't age well. The tray at the bottom of the stand is plastic too, and it's the flimsy kind. The top section is all metal and feels great, but the sides are almost useful. They're big enough to place a utensil or something like that, but not big enough for a plate. It doesn't have anywhere to hang utensils either to avoid covering the top in oil and fat.The most disappointing part is the plates don't slot into a firm position. The little notches are too subtle to keep the plates in the right spot, leaving them free to move about 1cm out of whack in any direction if pushed slightly. Makes a horrible clanging noise when it hits the neighbouring plate. Not a huge problem when turning sausages, but it's a real nuisance when trying to clean the thing while it's still hot. Makes a horrible noise. Also, it doesn't distribute the heat evenly, even when the burners are on the lowest setting. I realise no BBQ spreads heat perfectly, but it's more noticeable on this one than other BBQs I've had.I had high expectations, so I'm pretty disappointed. Hopefully the little things bother me less over time and I find a way of getting used to the moving plates. Might even get the angle grinder out to give the plates a decent notch to sit in.
Great service from BBQWorld. Order was shipped immediately and received without any issues. The BBQ was an addition to my outside kitchen which includes a coal bbq and pizza oven, so for my needs it’s excellent. It get hot extremely quickly so great for quick cooks. Great build quality and due to the material used in the manufacture it should last long. Looking forward to doing a few more cooks on it .
We bought this based on recommendation in Which and can only conclude that the reviewers didn't have to clean it after use.Our first problem was that it arrived without an instruction book so we had to make do with a downloaded PDF.They recommend that you keep the barbecue covered when not in use but the covers were out of stock everywhere. Finally tracked one down but it adds another £89 to an already high price. The drip tray underneath comes with one disposable liner. Replacements can cost at much as £25 for 10 (tip: just use a piece of tin foil - much cheaper!)Once set up the barbecue is reasonably sturdy and, indeed, cooks the food well.HOWEVER, the nightmare comes when you have to clean it. Replacements can cost at much as £25 for 10 (tip: just use a piece of tin foil - much cheaper!)Once set up the barbecue is reasonably sturdy and, indeed, cooks the food well.HOWEVER, the nightmare comes when you have to clean it. The drip tray catches the fat that runs out of the bottom but before it gets there it coats the inside of the barbecue underneath the burners and the metal section in the centre. Only someone with slim hands can get a cloth underneath (i.e. not my husband!!) with a great deal of difficulty. As well as a coating of grease you have to get out any scraps of food that may have dropped through. The racks that you cook on are coated but, despite that, food sticks to them. You're instructed to only use non-abrasive cleaners so the only way to get them clean is by soaking overnight and then scrubbing with soft scourers. The racks are also difficult to lift in and out at there are no finger holes and they are very heavy. The final straw is that you are told not to use metal cooking implements as you may damage the non-stick coating!! Just about every barbecue cooking tool on the market is made from metal.Do not be fooled by the celebrity endorsement. Heston Blumenthal may well find this barbecue a dream to cook on but clearly he has a team of minions to clear up after him and doesn't need to worry about any of the practicalities of everyday use.
Having owned mostly Weber grills I decided I wanted something different. I was really intrigued by a chef created grill and I purchased this about a year ago. This is a horrible grill, the design of the grates so that they can be close to the flame makes them very difficult to clean and I have to constantly take them inside to scrub them. The heat of the grill is in the center, which has destroyed the enamel coating on the grate, and the outer sections do not heat equally. After a year I have come to the point that I hate using the grill and when my wife wants me to cook something outside, which I used to love to do, I only do it after much prodding. We are thinking of moving and I expect that I will toss this lousy grill in the nearest dumpster since I hate it so much.
Planked salmon, wings, aged strip steaks, jerk chicken and more! I love thing grill. Got all of the extras teppanyaki plate and the 3 flat plates. I really do love this gas grill, I have 2 BGE as well. This is my go to now for daily cooking. you can sear to perfection or cook slow and low. Cleaning is easy enough. I love using this grill and everyone has raved about the food produced off of this thingI plan on buying the 2 burner version for my boat!
I'm not one for product endorsements but Mr Heston has backed a hit. It's the quality of the product that shines. When you assemble the BBQ you can tell that someone put a lot of care into the design, manufacture and quality control - every part fits nicely and it sturdy, its really well thought out. I was taken aback by the quality after a lot of shoddy wobbly BBQs in the past, It was a pleasure to put together. Even the gas regulator is good quality.Cooking: It cooks fast thanks to the design (the burner is near the grills). It comes with two standard griddle plates, I bought a flat plate (extra) to help with delicate stuff like veg etc.. Meat sears quickly on griddle and then turn it right down. Get some silicone utensils (don't use metal on cast iron). One slight issue is that the gas control its hard to work out right temp, takes some practice. You have to use some nous to cook and do watch your food. The lid is incredibly robust but don't leave lid down too long on even medium its going to get hot and burn your food. Keep it low if lid is down, that seems to be the rule.Cleaning: This Everdure is really easy to clean, just need to take a bit of care - take out the drip tray, bucket underneath and plenty of soapy water, rinse. Some great videos online for cooking and cleaning. Take out the griddles first, make sure they are warm and use a nylon brush (not metal) to scrum.Cons: The temperature control, the dials are oversensitive, just takes a bit of working out. And the accessories are hard to get hold off - trays and grills etc.
Excellent product. Leave the hood down and using all burners it rapidly gets up to very considerable heat. Excellent for steaks! And this model has a very large grilling surface ideal for 4/6 people.Cleaning any BBQ is a faff and the very gentle way they recommend you clean the plates in particular isn't really feasible. We bought a wire grill brush and throughly scrub the grill plates after burning off fat and debris first. Together w regular seasoning w rapeseed oil, and a big clean at end of the year, all is fine three years in. The coating on the black trim didn't like soapy water at all. WD40 (when BBQ is cold) works a treat however. It's worth protecting with the cover too.
