Eveready 6V LED Dolphin Lantern Torch

This is a great purchase. Instructions on the wrapper on it how to open it. Doing it with one hand could be hard because of waterproof seal. Also if you need to,ask the staff where you purchase the item to put the battery in for you before leaving the shop.

Average light, regret purchasing

Not what I was hoping for after contemplating whether to buy or not. Only as bright as a dolphin Pico torch but 50 times heavier. Only good point is that the torch has a long run time, however, the Pico torch can last just as long with two AA batteries n cheaper to replace.

Extremely Poor

Received torch, it was covered in a layer of dust, Must of sat on the shelf for a long time. The person who filled the order didn't bother to clean it before couriering it out. Worse thing is - the lid is impossible to remove, so is unusable. Paul W had the exact same problem in his review

Good hardy torch

I’ve had this torch for years now and I love it. Like others, the lid is super tight and took forever to do. For anyone struggling, I loop a bit of twine or string through the loop at the top of the lid which gives more than enough leverage to open it. The light is excellent. Has gotten me through a couple power cuts and several storms where I’ve had to go out in the rain at night.

Good until the battery goes flat

Great torch BUT near impossible to open to change the batteries. I am trying CRC to loosen it right now after 3 people have tried twisting the darn thing as per instructions.Pretty useless if the batteries can't be replaced or recharged. This design sux.

Great torch

A great torch, Ruggard, lightweight and super bright! Great to have and super handy around the house or car.

Really good

Bright light. Durable. Love it. Some people said they couldn't unscrew it, I had no problems. I use a recharable 6v Sealed Lead Acid battery

Scoobsy

It wasn't bright as my old torch. And distance it reaches not as far. Beam not as wide. Price for less quality much too high. Prefer to get refunded but may be good for other types of jobs. I think old single globe torch is much better.

It works, I hope it's waterproof. I don't like the batteries in the shop tho' as they don't seem to be as powerful as eveready ones

Trustworthy, Timeless and Tough

These torches stand up to NZ conditions. I've had this particular torch (regular bulb model) for going on 20 years and yet it still goes as hard as ever, standing up to the never ending abuse, great to chuck in the cupboard as when that power-cut comes its pays to be prepared.Invest in a torch that lasts.
