I liked it, it was relatively easy to assemble, and fun to hit. The downside is that even with the base full (in my case 90% full of water) it still moves quite a bit when hit hard. Also, the neck seems a tad weak, like the parts don't fit together as well as they could, possibly due to the type of plastic used. It's enjoyable, and a good price.

It’s a great bag and a lot of fun to use. I filled mine up with water, but it still moves around a Lot when you hit it hard. Would be best filled with sand. I also needed a rubber mat underneath to reduce noise. The bag itself is sturdy and great to punch. I’ve done it both with and without gloves and found it’s fine for both. Really good option for a rental place when you can’t hang a bag. You can also kick train with it, but it’s a fairly small target for that and would struggle to do straight kicks without knocking it over

Good bag. Great value.

Good quality bag.Is quite firm so probably not the best bag for beginners but good for those that have some technique. The bag is also quite narrow compared to a lot of other bags.Overall the bag seems to be of good quality with good weight to it, comes pre-filled and great value for money.

Good light bag
24 August 2021

I've had this for almost a year.I filled it with the maximum amount of sand. You know what it's a good bag and I use it often, but if you are an average sized adult, just know that you won't be able to beat on this thing. You can, but even with 300 or so pounds of sand, it wobbles and is incredibly noisy, and I'm not sure what kind of damage it could be doing to structure of house. So I put it under four layers of work out mats, and it helps.Anyways it's great for technique and light training, which is what most amateur boxers need to work on anyways, I use it almost daily. But with all that said, I'm looking to buy a heavy bag, one that I can work on my power punching. Because trust me, you won't be able to consistently power punch this thing.

Great choice for a freestanding punching bag
8 September 2020

Very functional bag which requires minimal space, no drilling holes into walls and can conveniently be moved if required. Great option since I could not get to the gym.Fairly simple to assemble and set up. I used sand to keep it stable (put the sand in bags first so you can take a couple out to lighten if you need to move it around). The ability to adjust the height is a great feature as multiple household members can use it, even the kids.Seems well made and durable. The "power transfer ring" means it is flexible when hit and absorbs the impact. But I would not say this is for the professional fighter, more for at home fitness. When comparing its features to its price, I found it a good investment.

Half-decent
11 March 2021

A decent bag, not the greatest. Took a while to assemble, once it was set up with water in the base, the water began leaking each time I used it. To the point where the floor was wet and slippery, so I replaced the water with sand. Sand is so much better for this bag, feels sturdier and doesn't move as much. Also, the inner plastic tube keeps shifting up. Have to reset it after a few strikes. The tallest height setting is a little low for my straight punches or upper hooks.Overall I'd say its half-decent. I don't think I will buy an Everlast product again since they outsource their manufacturing. It even says to contact them instead of Everlast in the manual, pretty disappointing!

Not bad, but must be filled with sand, not water.

Initially filled it with water, only to realise that it really wasn't stable - the base would wobble a lot, and one side would lift. I think it is wrong to advertise that it can be filled with water, because even a medium-strength punch will make it unstable (wouldn't even dare to kick it). So I had to drain all the water out again and buy bags of sand. With about 130kg of sand, it is quite stable. The screw holes are not very well aligned, and it took some effort to assemble (twice - as I had to replace the water with sand). The plastic is meant to flex when you punch it, but it has me worried about the longevity. I do not find it very refined (lots of fine grained plastic 'dust' around the box), and I think it is a bit expensive for what it is. The bottom part of the 'bag' is filled with a ring of simple cheap foam of a different material - I don't know why. The assembly instructions are really not very clear, and more confusing than necessary. The feel of the bag when hitting it is very good - not too soft, not too hard. All in all, it does the job, and given the limited number of options for a standing punching bag, this is probably one of the better options.

OK, perhaps more for speed & technique, not power

First off I would like to say that assembling this was such a pain. The holes in the base of the neck didn't align with the drum so I spent a couple of hours trying to force screws into them.Secondly, and this is easily missed on the instructions, is that you need to take out the core that's in the middle of the bag, AND, the outer housing for the core. You can easily leave this in, and the insert the little foam piece in. Then after releasing your mistake, there's no way to take it out but to break it apart. I saw someone assemble it on YouTube who also made the same mistake.Third. It doesn't feel very strong. It's not something I'd punch with full force. I seriously feel bad hitting away at it in the garage for all the noise it makes for the rest of the household.I did buy it to punch without gloves, so it's perfectly suited for this as it doesn't hurt my wrist with reasonable force as would a conventional punching bag would. So if punching a bag with your full force isn't what you're after, I think this is a great fun little bag to practice those quick and connecting shots.

Pretty Good Product
5 May 2020

I bought this today. I set it up in around 20 minutes. The bolts provided have a rounded head. The required Allen key that is provided with the free standing punching bag seems to be in between standard Allen key sizes. That being said it sets up quite easily.I filled mine with water as an interim measure until I can get some sand. I am 185cm tall and 120kg. I am a 2nd Dan Black belt. When I punch the "Powercore" it shifts a little and rocks a bit - but it is really quite stable - even if you have to chase it across the garage floor slightly. You get good feedback from the punching bag. You can lay some heavy punching on it but it's also great for speed work. I tried some spinning heel kicks on it and I think I'll wait until I get in front of a heavy hanging bag ... MoreI bought this today. I set it up in around 20 minutes. It will definitely be more stable if I fill the base with sandI'm quite happy with the purchase

Terrible
28 January 2022

Cheaply made and bad design. Water is terrible. Changed to sand after a few days. The water made the screws a little rusty. After about 2 months of training semi regularly, the screw housings broke off. It currently has a big crack in the base on top of 4 screw housings that broke. I am going to try and return it. Dont waste your money on this one.I am not a hard hitter, only 125 lbs.
