I've bought spanx and other similar shapeware products before, but needed specifically a low back, bottoms only option for my wedding dress! It was so hard to find it anywhere except for here! I put myself on a wait-list, which is definitely worth doing if It's out of stock when you first look at it. There's really sturdy yet slim side boning that holds the shorts up, so that the front stays a little above my belly button, and it never rolls! The back sits literally riiiiight above my butt crack which is perfect!!! I was looking for shapewear for my wedding and needed something low back. These shorts are just what I was looking for and couldn't seem to find any other similar option for a low-back short on the market - Well done Skims! I went for a size small as there they do stretch and I didn't want to risk them being baggy (which would defeat the purpose of using them). I am usually a UK size 8-10/ US size 4-6. Love that I finally found a shapewear with an open back that works with my wedding dress. I just wish that the tummy section was a different material/had more tummy control in that area. Also I noticed the rubber lining along the edge to hold the shape wear in place/hold it up doesn’t go around the entire product. I think it would be helpful to have to keep it from rolling down or moving. Also- I hope skims creates a strapless full body suit with an open back too! Would be so awesome to have more open back shapewear options for every dress type! Otherwise, very happy with the product!

I was really excited to try these out but they are really not great. Whenever I would sit down, the legs would roll up and the belly part would roll down which would make for a very awkward time when I stood up. Trying to discreetly fix both under your dress is not a fun time. Something I don't remember seeing advertised, is there is a pre made hole in the crotch (I'm assuming to go pee but I suppose easy access for other things too) which feels really awkward when you walk. It was not very comfortable. I recommend not purchasing these as they're way too expensive to be constantly rolling down and have a weird crotch.
Minimally, you need to buy 2 sizes larger than what Skims size chart guides you. This brand runs significantly small; by their size chart, a small should work for me but does not. Size large is a good fit for me. Had no issue with the garment rolling or not staying in place and for when you need a little extra shaping under your clothes, these fit the bill for sure. 4 stars because the brand really should re-evaluate their sizing to reflect more closely to what would be expected a true-to-size in reality. Unless I kept an open mind to give this brand a chance irregardless of the grossly inaccurate sizing, I likely would have also given this garment a poor rating. I had really low expectations for these since reviews were so bad. I'm 5', 110lbs, size 23 jeans, xs/s panties depending on brand for reference. They look teeny tiny out of the box but they definitely stretch...and I thought that was the norm for shape wear.Pros: these made my butt look amazing and they sucked in my wasteCons: they were too tight around my upper leg, my skin bulged out, they also dug into my butt cheeks......Even though I thought my butt looked good....I was at a loss for what I could possibly wear over these without seeing my bulging skin from every angle, so I'm returning them. These were perfect for my daughters prom dress. It was genius to cut the back lower for those low cut dresses. I do wish it was just a wee tiny bit lower in the back because it just hits right at the dress line but every back on a dress is different. I love the boning in the sides to help suck you in and give that support. My daughter said it was the most comfortable one compared to all the others we have tried on. We will be ordering more products in the future and so will my adult daughters. Only problem is you being able to keep sizes available in all of the shades. I bought this short because it is difficult to find a "below the knee" anything in other brands, not everyone makes them and I really like to have one in my wardrobe. I have to say, I absolutely LOVE it. It's my favorite thing to wear under everything. When I first took it out of the packaging it looks really small because of the enormous amount of stretch. It also felt really think almost like neoprene but its NOT! Once you put it on it stretches and tucks into place so it wears like a second skin with absolutely NO BULK. It feels super smooth and light like a great fitting yoga pant. I don't have any problems with the top rolling down like some others, but I am a pear shape so my challenge is more along my hips and thighs. If you are unsure what size to go with follow the measuring chart, the size takes into account that this is supportive and will tuck you in where it should. I am always unsure of how accurate the charts are since this is supposed to fit snug but all the guesswork is taken out of this one, go by the size chart.
I needed something for a low front, low back wedding dress. Was looking for something with more compression but that doesn't exist. This item was extremely comfortable, did not roll up my legs and I basically forgot I had it on. I was annoyed that for months, while I did my search, I eyed this product and hoped for a restock in a lighter color. Never happened. Desperate, I purchased the Jasper color and prayed it would work. Thankfully, my satin dress had a liner thick enough that it couldn't be seen through. I am 5'0", 105 lbs and purchased both the XS and the XXS, and kept the XS.
