I was hesitant to buy a portable air conditioner because I had read that they were not too god. But I was surprised with how good this works, my room is the master bedroom and it cools fast and good, so much that I have to increase the temperature often. Only thing that I would clarify to other buyers is that it is loud and sometimes it does a louder sound, I think that is the compressor adjusting temperature or something like that, so at first it was difficult to sleep with it but then I got used to it. Keep in mind too that this kind of air conditioners require to have a window available and near to install the conduct from which the hot air gets out.
