Bought 2x medium hides for my baby corn snake and 1x large hide for the young bearded dragon. These hides are heavier than they look, but not extremely heavy, as well as being quite sturdy. If you do not use Aspen bedding, or any bedding that your corn can burrow in, I would suggest getting the small to start with instead of the mediums.

The reviews saying it's not well packed is accurate, at least use bubble wrap, mine was fine though. That said, It's the perfect size for a juvenile ball python, and mine loves it. The door way is so small it's hard to recommend it for any other reptile, maybe a leopard gecko.

These hides are pretty good they have a lot of flat inside surface space. They may not necessarily be good for like bearded dragons or medium to larger size lizards who would like to hide under it because it is pretty low but it's really good for snakes that like to get down low. Like corn snakes, rat snakes, even Rosy Boas or hognoses. ones that like to burrow and get down low. they're fairly lightweight. And easy to clean. But I do not recommend them for like I said medium to large sized lizards or ball pythons because there's not really enough space underneath them to really hide.

Seriously. Only giving it two stars because I managed to save it. I read lots of the reviewers prior to buying, and was kinda prepared to receive a broken one. As expected, the left side of the opening broke. If I didn't buy gorilla glue about 2-3 weeks ago, I would've said it's a lost cause. My break isn't as bad as others so in some way I got "lucky". Also just filling the inside of the cave with bubblewrap isn't "bubble wrapping" it either. Buy at your own risk with super glue on hand!!!!
I purchased an XL for my snake. He LOVES it. He basks on the top and coils up easily inside and frequently pokes his head out of the hole for a peak. Super easy to clean! The Price was phenomenal! Super fast shipping! The cave is a good weight so that my snake cannot push it around like his previous dwellings. Looks natural! A great addition to my snake's habitat!
I bought many of these hides from Pet Mountain previously and I have to say they do the best packaging of these items that I have ever experienced. (I had ordered these from another pet supplier in the past and they arrived chipped or broken.) Pet Mountain triple wraps these in bubble wrap and they arrive in mint condition. Excellent product too. I use these for some of my larger male corn snakes or for the gravid girls. They are a perfect size.

I am a wildlife carer, and have had more blue tongues in care than usual. The most recent admission had had to make do with a box. As soon as I added the Exo terra Hiding cave, he move into it and has used this hide all the time ever since. Thank you so much ! I also had to contact customer support, for a little problem, and they were outstanding!
I actually love the Exo Terra products, however I received this item broken. Not only was it broken, but the exceptionally large broken piece was NOT included. This means that it was put in the box for shipping already broken. Had the piece broken off in shipping, I would have just glued it back together and been done with it.
The large hiding cave we got for our pet lizard is unusable. It smells like chemicls even after airing out for weeks. The color is gross and doesn't look like real rock. It's staying outside for wild critters to use.
