Exo Terra Water Dish - Small

$9.76

(614 reviews)

Exo Terra's Water Dishes have a very natural and realistic rock finish on the outside and a smooth non-pitted surface on the inside. The bowls are coated to prevent the development of harmful bacteria and make it easy to clean. The neutral natural colour allows easy integration in desert, tropical or any type of terrarium. Smaller reptiles, amphibians and insects can easily escape out of the Water Dish by the 'safety steps' inside the bowl to prevent drowning.

Absolute necessity for your enclosure!! It’s quite big in person, but shallow enough so your reptile or amphibian won’t drown. It’s very sturdy, and not brittle, so it will last for a long time. It also just looks good in the tank 🐸

Alittle misleading

This dish is actually labeled as extra small water dish, they should be alittle more transparent in this. (It is the same as the invertebrate dish w/o the sponge) They are also charging the same price as the small dish in the select a size listing (which is what I wanted). This would be good for calcium or multi vitamin powder in a terrarium. I'm going to use it for protein powder dishes for my snails. BE SURE TO LOOK AT THE DIMENSIONS IN THE DETAILS!!!!! VERY IMPORTANT!!

Very pleased! I got this today, it was well wrapped. It's very large. It just might last throughout the life of my snakes. My oldest corn snake is just two so he has a lot of growing to do but this has lots of room for him to soak in. It's very heavy for those wondering about your pet tipping it, I can't imagine that happening unless your pet has hands and wants to do so. I was leery of buying a bowl online but Chewy never lets me down with customer service, if something goes wrong, they make it right. So I took the chance. No regrets.

Not good quality
20 June 2019

It doesn't look anything like the picture. When it came it was almost creamsicle colored, and cheap looking. It seemed to hold water well though, so I kept it. But after a few days, a bright ring formed around the edge at the waterline. I ignored that also, but after two months, it got dents and bubbles in it, almost like it was disintegrating. So I guess the water was wearing the edge away, and that seemed like it could hurt my corn snake. I would not recommend.

Perfect for a grown up ball python
1 December 2021

This is a heavy bowl that cannot be knocked over. My adult ball pythons have these and the corner deeper bowls. They can soak well enough in this and it works well for my one spider girl who tried to drown herself in the deep corner bowl because she can't sink too far into it to cover her whole body. Sticker Removes perfectly. Easy to clean. Have bought several of these over the last 2 years and they have all held up.

Poor workmanship?
10 September 2024

Was wondering why the mat on the bottom of the terrarium was always damp so I removed the bowl, emptied and dried it, placed it on a paper towel on the sink and poured some water in it. Then noticed one area underneath was getting damp. It appears to be a poor seal. And why is there a hole drilled at the edge in that area?

Soaking Pool for Box Turtles
1 April 2021

It’s our box turtles soaking pool. The color is definitely way off, it’s a 70’s mustard yellow and doesn’t look like the photo advertised. Aside from that, it is deep and large and would work great for juvenile turtles. My box turtles are little babies about quarter sized so it’s way too deep for them. I will have to put some river rocks at the bottom so they can climb in and out safely. We will certainly make use of this. Seems strong and durable so long as you take care of it. I don’t see how it could leak like others have said.

X Large Bowl
17 January 2024

Good quality, good size. Bought for my adult bearded dragon. Great price for a x-large bowl. Definitely heavy enough so it does not move around. I am currently ordering another one for my ball Python.
