Although I haven't had chance to play specific recipes yet, the selection of cards from the various expansions makes for a hilarious game. The increase in action cards means that players can have a more tactical game, rather than constant cat card plays and stealing cards.My first game after getting this set I played one of the only random card steals of the game- only to pick an exploding kitten from a player with the streaking kitten.I was a little disappointed at the lack of extra 'favour' cards, but it doesn't impact the fun of the game.From the looks of it, this box is only missing a couple of new cards from the expansions (not including Zombie kittens, which came out later), making it a great value set.

Recipes for Disaster is a really fun, fast paced game that the entire family can enjoy, regardless of your age. If you love the original Exploding Kittens game you will love this version which incorporates aspects and gameplay of the original version with the best cards from all of the expansion packs. I have been hearing so much about this game but never had a chance to give it a try until now. I have been missing out. Exploding Kittens is a fantastic strategy game and our whole family loves it. Our 7 year old daughter had no trouble picking it up and even helps Mom and Dad remember some of the rules. This game is alot of fun to play. I'm a newbie to this game. I had heard of it of before, but have never played, or owned any of the games. This game was perfect for me. It includes everything someone new to the game would need, plus much more. It'll definitely keep you interested in playing.It was relatively simple to learn how to to play and the rules were clear. You can play with anywhere from 2-5 people, and it's suitable for ages 7+.I have been playing this game with my kids and we always have a great time. My two oldest love to play together, on their own, and will play several games in a row. It's fun for both kids and adults.
I love Exploding Kittens so much and this expansion pack was no different. It took some time to understand it. But once you get the hang of it and flow the booklet inside. It was just a matter of time.It is great with many player. Maybe 4-5 at the most. All of us were new to the game so it was a bit daunting but it was also fun to figure out together.One thing to remember is that it is not a kids game. Its a bit complicated to children.Also the little recipes was worth it.

This is such a cool version of exploding kittens! Ive been playing the original game for years so I was super excited to get this version. It comes with so many cards from different exploding kittens variations, so its a great mix. I had never used the cone of shame before so it was hilarious to use it for the first time. I really like how it also includes 5 blank recipe cards to come up with your own spin of the game, we definitely made really ridiculous and intense rules to keep everyone entertained. Im super happy we have this for game night!
We love games at our house. We have a weekly game night as often as we can. We love the original exploding kittens game so we knew this had to be good too. It is so much funner than we anticipated! You can have 2-5 players, then you can play wild, remix versions of the original game. This game offers hours of endless fun. We really enjoyed the 13 Recipe Booklets to play wild, explosive remixes of the game. The cone of shame is funny too, if you forget whose turn it is you're wearing that cone!! It's fun for beginners who've never played and it won't take long to catch on. Also, super fun for those who've already played exploding kittens. Highly recommend this game. It will definitely be a fun time!!
If you’re not an exploding kittens super fan, this set/concept isn’t a good choice. If you ARE a super fan, you may not even like this. It’s incredibly time consuming to set up/maintain. To play each “recipe,” you need to first individually sort out every single card type. This took us about 30 minutes to complete. Then, before each game, you need to select a number of cards according to each recipe card (aka 3x See the Future, 2x Tacocat, etc). Then gameplay lasts around 10 minutes max, and then you have to sort everything back out. Each setup/breakdown of the cards takes about half as long as it does to play. The differences in variations may be fun for people, but this concept takes way too long for what should be a quick and easy game.
