My 2 miniature poodles are walking great. I wanted more control so ordered the 24 inch. Wish it was slightly longer. I added an extension and they work great. I have already recommended the leash to a woman getting the pull by her excited young dog. I use mine with a puppia halter vest.

I love this leash, it goes so well with the express harness which I also purchased in the corduroy. It looks really stylish and the zero shock feature is the best thing ever - no more jolting when my dog decides to take off.I love that you can opt for the customised name patches on either side of the harness too. I’m really happy with these products, they’re really well made too! Would definitely recommend.

Best leash ever, hands down!

I've been fostering German Shepherd Dogs for rescues for almost 12 years, and owned them for much longer. One of the main reasons GSDs are IN rescue to begin with is that their owners failed to provide the socialization/training these dogs desperately need to live comfortably with humans as adults, so by the time they are anywhere from around a year or 18 mos to 2 years or so, they are completely out of control and unmanageable to the owner who, BTW, doesn't have the patience, time, or inclination to work with the dog as it deserves. The good news is that most rescue GSDs are fairly easy to train because the breed is among those most eager to please its human. Nonetheless, the process can be still be physically stressful for the foster mom/dad or the new adoptive parent trying to improve doggie manners, because they are also among the strongest, most active breeds out there, requiring LOTS of exercise, throughout their lives. And there are lots of sore shoulders/arms and aching backs involved in correcting the "leash-pulling" problem. The Ezydog Shock Absorbing leash is amazing in its ability to reduce these ... making it worth every penny (because it's obviously quite a bit more expensive than the average leash; however, it's an excellent investment!). And with my aging and increasingly arthritic joints, this leash has actually become a form of therapeutic support (along with my copper elbow sleeves and gloves ... ha, ha, ha!). I would recommend it to anyone attempting to leash-train ANY dog, regardless of size, weight, or breed. Especially if you're tired of feeling like your shoulders are dislocated every time you take your dog for a walk.P.S. Definitely buy this leash if you have a new puppy or a dog that needs leash-training, but PLEASE don't get a German Shepherd puppy (or any other active breed) unless you're willing to dedicate the time, energy, and resources needed to ensure that s/he grows up to be a calm, even-tempered, and well-mannered adult. They are OFTEN euthanized in shelters because the local rescue is full and the overworked shelter staff doesn't have the resources required to work with them enough to help them become adoptable.

Excellent choice of dog leaf-Ezydog Zeroshock
19 November 2023

Recently purchased this great lead for our dog. The store manager recommended it for us in the shop as he overhead my daughter and I talking. Our Boston terrier dog pulled badly on the lead making walks for my daughter unpleasant. Since purchasing this lead walks are more enjoyable as our dog has to do the work now due to the bungee type spring back cord and we think he's now learning his lesson and pulling less!!! Great product for dogs that pull

Excellent lead
31 August 2023

I bought this lead for my whippet. He is very strong and likes to dash off in unexpected directions. This lead make it easier to control him. I think the 'Zeroshock' bit works well and I don't feel my arm is about to come out of its socket when he tries to dash off. There is a useful block fitted part way down and that's easy to hold on to if you need a shorter lead quickly. It is well made from strong durable materials and expect to last a long time.

Ezydog Zeroshock Dog Lead
26 November 2023

Have previously used an extendable lead but on 1 occasion the lock failed due to me not locking it hard enough which was a concern as this was by a road. My fault not the lead but made me think if it happened whilst my wife was using it, so tried the zeroshock lead. Must admit I am impressed for 2 reasons. Used it for a few weeks now and my dog now walks next to me easier without wanting to run left/right etc. The zero shock takes the jolt out of the lead should he want to pull forward for some reason.

Favorite leash

Love this! We have used many leashes and this is paws down my favorite. Highlights for me:- Webbing is soft and does not cut my hands if my dog pulls it through my fingers.- But, is still thick and sturdy enough to handle my sled dog's pulling!- Neoprene handle is soft and wide enough to use easily even when wearing winter gloves.- The rubber grip lower down on the leash is great for traction when bringing my dog closer.- D-ring is handy for clipping small objects (though in practice I only want soft objects on there - it's unpleasant to have a hard flashlight, bag holder, or swinging freely and whacking me or my dog as we walk!)- I wish this leash came in light solid colors - like silver, or turquoise!A few wish list items -- I wish the traffic ... MoreLove this! It would be nice to have a second neoprene handle lower on the leash, but I appreciate that that could make the whole thing heavier.- I wouldn't mind if it were slightly longer - like 6-12 longer, before stretching? And, alternate versions of this leash, for different situations:- a non-bungee version, still with the rubber grip and padded handle(s) - honestly I would be willing to trade the traffic handle for the rubber grip, though I'd prefer to have both;- a version with a buckle handle, so that the leash can be clipped around/through a fence or railing. But as-is, I am perfectly happy with this leash! Gives me a lot of control with comfort, and is durable and reasonably priced.

Improves pavement walks significantly
29 February 2024

Highly recommend this lead for pavement walks. It's so comfortable for 6 month old labrador and I. Reduces pulling. No jarring for dog or I. Previously I used extending lead as I thought it was kinder to allow more freedom but I now believe this is a kinder lead. My pup can predict the length and gets gentle warning when he's at end of lead rather than jarring. It's easy to control length with traffic handle (which I use when puppy wants to greet someone too enthusiastically). The gentle rubber grip half way down lead is great for gentle control on short stretches of narrow pavements by busy roads. I haven't had this lead long so can't speak for it's long term quality. However pup seems more relaxed wearing it, I feel the walk is much safer, controlled and kinder. ... MoreHighly recommend this lead for pavement walks. I love this lead. Wish I'd discovered it sooner. Seems expensive at first but improves the daily pavement walks. Easy 5 stars from me and pup! Only downside is pup loves to grab thick leas in mouth and attempt to engage in tug of war. Overall a fantastic lead for pavement walks in my opinion though.

Not recommended for medium/large dogs.

I have a Labrador who likes to pull when excited and at times likes to sniff the pavements and grass verges like Sherlock Homes searching for clues, he could do this all day. When I saw this lead I thought it was the answer to my prayers. I saved up a long time to buy it as it is expensive. My go to harness is a head harness by another brand but my dog also has a standard body harness as well, this is so I have two ways to pull him back if I need to. I also use a long training lead clipped to both which gives me good control. My dog walks well on a lead just occasional pulls. The first thing I noticed is this EZYDOG shock lead 48" is not of a good weight for a big heavy dog. The first thing I noticed is this EZYDOG shock lead 48" is not of a good weight for a big heavy dog. It doesn't really help with the pulling either and I have an even tougher time of keeping him close when needed as it stretches so he can go further and it's hard to pull him back. It doesn't work well with a head harness or the body harness and I felt it could snap should we encounter an issue. It is a well thought out lead though. The two handles is a good idea and was perhaps the main reason I got it but actually that wasn't helpful with my dog. The main handle is well thought through and nicely padded but a bit oversized and I have large hands so it doesn't work for me. I like this lead has ad-ring for clipping things on and the hook is a fairly good strength. I do not recommend for dogs over 25kg unless they walk like a light weight dog with no issues.

So short it's useless and extremely dangerous
21 April 2023

I bought this for my 7 month old Cocker Spaniel who pulls a lot. When it was described as "short", I didn't realise it was actually possible for a lead to be that short. I'm only 5'3" but I could only hold the lead in one hand and it was permanently at it's maximum which means one sharp pull and it went flying out of my hand. The same happened to my son twice. On all 3 occasions the dog ran straight into the road. I tried several times to get the hang of it but it's so short it's ridiculous. I ended up taking it back to the store and exchanging for the Kong which is fantastic. Longer, sturdier, extra grab handle.I would not recommend this at all - maybe the longer one is better?
