Bought this because my usual sharpener won't be big enough for my Derwent Inktense pencils. The 'jumbo' size of this sharpener is bigger than needed and sharpens them very well. The smaller hole labelled 'graphite' is great for my woodless watercolours and the main 'colour' one is great for all my colouring pencils. Makes a really nice point on my pencils. The case is really easy to unclip and open for sharpening and for emptying too. Couldn't be happier!

This is so handy for pencil collectors as it accepts various sizes, fits comfortably in palm of your hand, delivering excellent results. Very ingenious construction as it opens one way to access the sharpening ports, close then opening at the 2nd set of arrows over a trash receptacle to empty the shavings. Great, fun design!!!!

I bought this pencil sharpener since the description led me to believe it would accommodate triangular-shaped colored pencils (which I have many times over regretted buying). turns out it does no better than sharpening a pencil with a knife. For my purposes this pencil sharpener did not work, though it may be just the thing you are looking for. I did not try it with any other pencils since I have a sharpener that will put a magnificent point on them - as long as they are not triangular. the catch basins on this are great - stay closed securely, which is good if you're carrying this around without having emptied it.

Compact, different sharpener sizes and it stores pencil shavings. This is such a cute little sharpener for home or on the go. It's easy to empty and has a modern look as well. I love the stability of the GRIP Trio sharpener because of it's stability it has while I'm sharpening my watercolor, or graphite pencils.
Three sizes of sharpener in a near little package with flip top lid / easy opening. Quick to remove old shavings but these wont spill into your kit bag because of the closing mechanism. So it's quick and easy to use, small enough to stick in a pocket but stores a decent amount of shavings. Blades are replaceable. Only slight concern is how long the joint on the flip close mechanism will last. Seems fine currently and wasn't expensive so IMO not too much of a concern.
This is my favorite sharpener yet. It keeps me sharp in the studio and on the go. Ordering a second one for my field pack. Love the three sharpening options. It sharpens pencils to a nice point, especially my current favorite “go to” sketching pencil - the general drafting pencil # G314. What a pair. . TallyHO!
Brilliant sharpener! So glad I got this. The blades inside are perfectly sharp and I have had no breakages in my Polychromos, Brutfuner, Prismacolor, Castle Arts or Derwent Coloursoft.It has 3 different sized blades which are labeled and even a larger one for larger pencils.It opens and closes perfectly ans hold alot of sharpenings.
I like that the sharpener has three differently sized holes to sharpen different widths of pencil. I like the folding design and the small size. I like that you collect the sharpening in a small compartment underneath the sharpeners. I like the colour and shape. the only criticism and and isn't really one is that it's hard to get the sharpener awayy from the container to0 throw away the sharpening. A minor fault though as I really like this sharpener.
Love how it puts a nice, fine point on multi-size pencils! Shavings are neatly stored—no mess while you work & play. Sleek design made of ‘metallic look’ hard plastic.Considerations:Seems easiest to use when set on a surface~may not be optimal for plein air.Portable but not bomb proof.Hinges are durable enough but may not be suitable for children.May be tricky to empty for those lacking fine motor skills.
The Faber-Castell 3 in one hand-held sharper is the Brain Johnson of pencil sharper! Small, mighty, and shook all night long! It fits anywhere and the shavings don't get all over your other art supplies. The colored pencil sharper is my favorite because it makes just the right size point saving your colored pencils greatly. If you use chalk pastels pencils or charcoal pencils like I do the color pencil sharper is Angus Young you've been looking for! I don't have any jumbo pencils so I haven't used that sharper for what it's full capabilities. I mostly use that sharper to start brand new pencils.
