Faber-Castell School Fountain Pen

When used for its intended purpose, it's great. It does go through ink fairly fast, but takes any universal size cartridges. The design is not attractive or stylish, it's meant for school so longevity over looks is key. In saying that, it isn't particularly robust, but would survive being kept in a pencil case in a school bag.

Good value for money in the short term

I’ve been using this pen on and off for about a year. So far so good, but I’m about to run out of ink refills. For sustainability reasons I would like to buy an FC ink converter but Officeworks does not sell these (or the cartridge refills). Officeworks does sell Waterman ink converters — but no Waterman fountain pens. Converters and cartridges tend to be proprietary so there isn’t much point selling the converter for one brand without the accompanying pen, or the pen for another brand without the accompanying cartridge/converter.

A good quality pen ,writes smoothly and is comfortable to use. I would like to see other colour ink cartridges available for this pen .
