As a qualified electrician having installed lots of smoke detectors these are rubbish,As others mentioned a flimsy clip breaks, just by looking at itYou can hardly terminate one cable in the termination block so 2 cables for interceptions is near impossible, there’s no looping terminal, so nowhere to terminate an earth. I’m surprised that they are up to Australian standardsA piece of crapBunnings should not sell this item

240V 3P terminal which goes into the unit is very flimsy and breaks off easily. I will not trust this device to protect my house - will return asap.

I bought this a month ago and I am so glad that I did. Exactly what i was looking for.
Bought these three years ago and they stopped working. Need replacing. Never buying this brand again
We bought 2 of these - the electrician said the clip on electrical connection broke when he connected it.The downstairs one almost broke the same way, but he managed to salvage it. We are throwing them both out and buying a different brand. Dodgy as.
My electrician wired this in 3 weeks later battery starts chirping took it down replaced battery now the clip will not stay in. Obviously by other reviews it's a problem I'll take it back and get something better
I purchased two of these to have them replace two non-interconnected alarms. The retaining clip on the plug snaps off during installation - every time. The plug therefore won't stay connected. Both were faulty in different ways. It is scary that such a terrible product "meets" Australian Standards. Bunnings has a hide selling this rubbish as a potential life-saving product.
As mentioned by someone else, the clip the holds the connector broke off. Very poor design overall with extremely tiny screws to seal battery compartment as well will make battery changes a real pain.Avoid this product!
