My cat who otherwise would eat absolutely everything including even non-meat items will not touch this cat food. I love how these days the manufacturers are calling ground filth Paté like it's something special and it's just absolute nasty filth and leftovers ground up into a paste. With this particular brand it does smell like liver as other persons have commented. I ended up giving them to the neighbor's dog that eats absolutely anything. So there was a waste of $12 and something. Thanks Purina.I'm currently researching European and Australian pet food makers that do not have any ties to Nestlé or the equally as unethical Mars Corp to have decent, honest pet food shipped to me in bulk.

I have a picky cat and four other rescues. They all enjoyed this product in the past, but my recent purchase was quite strange. When I opened the can, I noticed that the color was unusually pale, making me think it might have expired. Curiously, I opened a few more cans from different boxes, and despite being far from their expiration dates, they all had a different color compared to what I was used to. To make matters worse, my cats despised it! Some of them tasted it but ended up vomiting. I reached out to Chewy, but they seemed unaware of any changes to the formula. It's highly unethical to alter the formula without notifying customers while keeping the packaging the same. I am really disappointed that the flavor has been changed. I bought this same can in target at least three times back to back hoping it was just a manufacturer's mishap by placing a different flavored food in the Beef gravy lovers can, but it seems that the flavor has been changed. This used to be my cat's favorite flavor, now he sniffs it and runs. The color of the food and texture are different to the eye, but the cat confirmed that smell and taste are also different because he refuses to eat it. He sometimes eats the Turkey gravy lovers food too but he has been picky with that one as well. I don't think they are using the same recipe for the beef flavor so I tried Friskies gravy and my cat ate it. I would hate to think my cat only wants Friskies now, but I had to ... MoreI am really disappointed that the flavor has been changed. I have one finnicky cat -- Shy Edgar. He will only eat Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers chicken or turkey canned food. He also eats dry kibble. He is a rescue adopted from our local SPCA shelter. I don't know why his so finnicky but I am glad he has a canned cat food that he likes! Cats need the hydration that the gravy provides. My other two cats are not finnicky and like other flavors in the Gravy Lover line. Ahhh the things we do for a beloved pet!
I have two cats, one 18 and one 7. They are extremely picky eaters. They will eat something for a while and then not want to touch it for weeks. They have, however, found something they seem to have liked now for a couple of months. And that is Fancy Feast, Savory Centers. I cannot recommend or not recommend this item. It’s my cats that would be saying we don’t recommend it. I personally think everything fancy feast makes this good, but of course I’m not eating it.
I have also fallen victim to the misleading advertising here and ended up with a product my cats refuse to eat. I just read the reviews and it appears that my complaint is similar to a number of others in recent times. Chewy needs to change the title of this product. Even Fancy Feast no longer labels the can as Roast beef flavored gravy and includes an explanation for the pallid/ boiled appearance of the new version in the new product description. Removing additives they say - changes the appearance of the product. (Good for them.) It IS however a DIFFERENT product! It obviously tastes different as my cats who loved the previous version will not look at this. The last time I ordered I got the new version and thought it was a warehouse mistake as the can did not say ... MoreI have also fallen victim to the misleading advertising here and ended up with a product my cats refuse to eat. I’ve fed my two older cats this exact flavor and gravy food for a few years now. One licks all of the gravy off and eats some of the food and the other gobbles up all that’s left. These last two shipments have had little to no gravy in each can. Kinda just looks like colored water and the food is very chunky. It looks like the regular fancy feast canned food which they do not like at all.Whatever has changed on this one neither one of them eats it well anymore. The one still licks the little bit of gravy water off but my other who pretty much eats anything refuses it. Normally this food has alot of gravy. Not anymore. So if FF combined the two ( gravy and grilled) this could be the reason why they are turning their noses up at it. Sad because for a very long time now this is the only food my old man will eat.
y one flavor for several years, but now they have 2 or 3. I'm hesitant to buy any, though, because he wouldn't eat the one flavor, which was one that he liked in just the Adult rather than Senior style, so there must be some ingredient in the Senior gravy that isn't in the Adult gravy. Now I feed him the Fancy Feast Petites, and he likes both the gravy style and the pate. He was licking all the gravy off and leaving the meat, though, so I've just stayed with the pate. It's in a little broth, so it has more moisture than some other brands of pate. Now I'm having to take the tuna and salmon flavors out of the meal plan because he was just diagnosed with mild hyperthyroidism, and seafood isn't recommended for it, so it'll just be the turkey and chicken flavors now. ... Morey one flavor for several years, but now they have 2 or 3. He's never been a big beef fan, so I haven't tried it at all. I wish the little cups weren't plastic, though, so they could be recycled. They're like the Sheba containers. I've recycled for over 30 yrs now, so I feel horrible about the containers, but I have to get food that he'll actually eat. He's always had a high metabolism, so he's always weighed just under 9 lbs. Even though I've been feeding him as many as 4-6 servings a day, he still lost a full pound with this hyperthyroidism. The medication seems to be helping already because he's not constantly going to the water bowl and drinking for a good while. Older cats are prone to get hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, and other health problems. The vet said it was good that I got him in while it was mild. It can lead to even more problems when it's not caught early. If you have a cat his age, I recommend that you watch for changes in your cat's water consumption and a lot more and bigger wee clumps in the box, as that's a symptom of hyperthyroidism. Luckily, I noticed and did a search on the internet, so I knew I had to get him to the vet. Has anyone who reads this tried the Science Diet y/d, as it's the only cat food specifically for hyperthyroidism. It's more than $40 a case, and the vet didn't tell me I needed to switch to it, but it's a lot higher in both fat and moisture and has a lot less sodium. If you have, does your cat like it?
This use to be Athena's favorite. With the last case, I noticed a color change and that she would not eat it. I previously gave it a bad review. I contacted Chewy's about this. They are FABULOUS! Apparently Fancy Feast has done it again. They changed the ingredients. Now it all makes sense. Beef is one of hardest to find. If your cat is a beef lover too, she likes the FF appetizer white meat chicken and shredded beef and FF naturals beef pate. I'm thrilled she will eat these. Chewy's also sent me a new case of the gravy lovers and I will try this again. I could not decide to recommend it or not, so I did .
My cats have loved fancy feast Turkey as well as chicken gravy lovers for years. Lately, probably last 4-5 months they either won’t eat it or if they do, it causes vomiting. I know 2 other ppl that this has happened to when ordering from chewy - one also w fancy feast & one with Friskies. I believe there is some sort of issue with the shipping - either it’s becoming too hot or becomes frozen & thaws. Sometimes the cans don’t seem sealed. I cannot continue to order cases of food not knowing if I’ll end up having to toss the whole thing out - lately it’s hit or miss - mostly miss. Switching to purchasing in store first, then if needed will change brands.
