My cat who otherwise would eat absolutely everything including even non-meat items will not touch this cat food. I love how these days the manufacturers are calling ground filth Paté like it's something special and it's just absolute nasty filth and leftovers ground up into a paste. With this particular brand it does smell like liver as other persons have commented. I ended up giving them to the neighbor's dog that eats absolutely anything. So there was a waste of $12 and something. Thanks Purina.I'm currently researching European and Australian pet food makers that do not have any ties to Nestlé or the equally as unethical Mars Corp to have decent, honest pet food shipped to me in bulk.

I wasn’t sure if the stray/ferals would like it because the gravy was more watery, (more like broth), than they are used to. A few of the other wet foods I’ve tried for them, they lick the gravy and waste the actual food. Not only did they like the gravy in this, all of them ate most, if not all, of the pate, as well. Cats Loved This Food
7 July 2024

I recently tried this for my cats Karma and Kitsu. Both devoured it eagerly, as if it was a special treat. Karma is the first cat I've owned who doesn't drink water from a bowl or other sources, so I have to make sure he gets enough moisture through his food and adding bits of water to it. The Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers Chicken Feast has extra gravy so that is good for him. Also Karma has been a bit of a picky eater, so to find something that he likes is also a triumph. The food looks appealing and fresh and chicken broth and chicken is the main ingredient. It also has vitamins and minerals. My cats are family, so I look at the ingredients carefully. It does have wheat gluten and some liver and fish so that may be an issue for some cat parents. My vet says Purina ... MoreI recently tried this for my cats Karma and Kitsu. I have a house full of rescues cats, some a picky some will eat anything. Only one took issue with it (and she takes issue with basically all wet food), all the others devoured t. I like that there was a good amount of gravy in the container and it was pretty consistent between the cans, they all had roughly the same amount of liquid in them. We mainly feed pate in the house and this was a hit. Also, as far as ingredients go, it was pretty decent. I don't like seeing a bunch of fillers like corn or vegetables, this had neither. The first ingredients were chicken broth and chicken. I don't love that the last ingredients before the mineral listing was artificial and natural flavors, but compared to other foods out in the market this was really leaps better. Perfect for my pate loving kitty

Thelma, my 4 year old kitty, LOVES her pate. I've tried to feed her other types of wet food with little success. In order to make sure she gets enough fluids, I would add some water to her pate. It was always a trick to see how much water to add because if it was too soupy she wouldn't eat. I was intrigued by the Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers since it was labeled as a pate. When I first opened the can, I was in love. It was a pate with a rich gravy in just the right amount. Thelma licked her dish the cleanest I've seen it. I know she is getting some extra fluids and she knows she is getting tasty food with gravy and not watered down pate. It's the best of both worlds for both of us. Something has changed /little to no gravy

I’ve fed my two older cats this exact flavor and gravy food for a few years now. One licks all of the gravy off and eats some of the food and the other gobbles up all that’s left. These last two shipments have had little to no gravy in each can. Kinda just looks like colored water and the food is very chunky. It looks like the regular fancy feast canned food which they do not like at all.Whatever has changed on this one neither one of them eats it well anymore. The one still licks the little bit of gravy water off but my other who pretty much eats anything refuses it. Normally this food has alot of gravy. Not anymore. Stop Changing the Formula

y one flavor for several years, but now they have 2 or 3. I'm hesitant to buy any, though, because he wouldn't eat the one flavor, which was one that he liked in just the Adult rather than Senior style, so there must be some ingredient in the Senior gravy that isn't in the Adult gravy. Now I feed him the Fancy Feast Petites, and he likes both the gravy style and the pate. He was licking all the gravy off and leaving the meat, though, so I've just stayed with the pate. It's in a little broth, so it has more moisture than some other brands of pate. He's never been a big beef fan, so I haven't tried it at all. I wish the little cups weren't plastic, though, so they could be recycled. They're like the Sheba containers. I've recycled for over 30 yrs now, so I feel horrible about the containers, but I have to get food that he'll actually eat. He's always had a high metabolism, so he's always weighed just under 9 lbs. Even though I've been feeding him as many as 4-6 servings a day, he still lost a full pound with this hyperthyroidism. The medication seems to be helping already because he's not constantly going to the water bowl and drinking for a good while. Older cats are prone to get hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, and other health problems. The vet said it was good that I got him in while it was mild. It can lead to even more problems when it's not caught early. If you have a cat his age, I recommend that you watch for changes in your cat's water consumption and a lot more and bigger wee clumps in the box, as that's a symptom of hyperthyroidism. Luckily, I noticed and did a search on the internet, so I knew I had to get him to the vet. Has anyone who reads this tried the Science Diet y/d, as it's the only cat food specifically for hyperthyroidism. It's more than $40 a case, and the vet didn't tell me I needed to switch to it, but it's a lot higher in both fat and moisture and has a lot less sodium. If you have, does your cat like it?

I will repeat the taste test when i get home today and get pictures of the cats enjoying this meal. None of them seemed put off by chicken rather than beef. Even my most finicky ate at least half of the portion offered. Some of the cats finished off the portions that were not finished by the cat to whom it was initially offered. I would have to say this product got four paws up from almost all of my cats!

I've had a cats ever since I was 2 years old and I can guarantee there's not a whole lot of cats out there that like fish. so the items that you set out to sell overpriced. it would be a wise decision if you put what the animals like. would you eat something you don't like? no you wouldn't. so why do you put things out that these animals don't like and when an animal gets used to eating a certain thing, they're not easy to turn around. give them something different. so instead of removing things off the shelf out of the store off the market, how about don't? how about understand you don't speak cats so you don't know exactly what the cat is into in food. so when you got a good thing going leave it alone. cats don't like that Pate at least the ones I have don't and I've got a lot and I've had a lot more than this from before and I've never in my life four cats to like chunks of food like that. that is not wild meat
