Far Cry 6, the latest entry in Ubisoft's iconic series, immerses players in the tumultuous world of Yara, a visually stunning Caribbean island. With breathtaking graphics and charismatic performances, notably by [actor's name], the game's antagonist, it's a visual feast.Gameplay evolves with robust mechanics, featuring intricate weapon customization and ally recruitment. The open-world design beckons exploration, offering diverse landscapes and dynamic encounters. While occasional AI quirks and character depth issues persist, the overall experience remains engaging. The narrative revolves around a compelling revolution led by Dani Rojas against the oppressive Anton Castillo. The success of the story hinges on player investment in the plight of Yara and its people.

Far Cry 6 is a fully fledged game but suffers from frequent dull sections with not much motivating you to continue. On the good side, it has few bugs and feels complete. The world of Yara is large, with many areas to explore. There is a range of characters and the plot feels grounded with a few 'Far Cry' flairs. Giancarlo Esposito does a fantastic job of playing Anton Castillo. There are plenty of tasks to keep you busy. Lots of potential, but it wasn't as good as it could have been.My praises don't go much further than that. The first mission plays well and sets a good tone. Esposito feels wasted, only chiming in with a resolve to rule harsher every time you kill one of his generals. Large sections of the campaign are filled with characters that I don't care about or tasks that feel repetitive. There is no skill tree like prior games. You just have to hunt around the map to find weapons or clothing. I commonly forget about the Spec Ops missions and the Bandito Operations are merely text adventures. The amigos and horses are fun, but I kept wanting human soldiers to accompany me into battle like in FC4 or 5. Plant harvesting has been completely removed. Fishing and hunting are almost skip able. Large portions of the map, especially Esperanza, are empty and lackluster. There is much less incentive to be stealthy. Almost every checkpoint or army base can be brute forced. In fact, the game as a whole feels easy with little challenge. There are no watchtower (just checkpoints) and no hallucinogenic missions. There are some unique weapons, but all you need is a good rifle. There really should have been missions that focused on a new weapon or equipment type.I bought Far Cry 6 for $10. Buy it at a steep discount if you like Far Cry style games. Otherwise I would start with a different entry in the series.

If you don’t know who this actor is or have never ever watch Breaking Bad or the Mandalorian then you are missing out. Far Cry has come a long way since its first appearance on PC and then on the first XBOX system that not even the PS2 could handle. Fast forward to the PS5 and UBI soft nailed it. Far Cry is very well known for its open world type gameplay and sneak attack take out moves similar to Assasins creed but with guns and other weapons. The story is well done and the graphics run at 60fps smooth on the PS5. If you have a UHD HDTV at 120hz refresh rate and VRR HDMI port then you’re good to go. Granted, UBI soft had some up and downs on their games but this is a masterpiece in its own after Far Cry 4. Very good game for the price I paid for, for a 3 year old game.

If you want more Far Cry, then this is just more Far Cry. Gameplay and exploration can be fun. However the majority of the NPCs aren't really interesting and after a short time the missions blur together. Dani Rojas is a great protagonist and I do like that the cutscenes are in third person perspective. Giancarlo Esposito is excellent as Anton Castillo but Dani barely interacts with him. The map feels too big and there are so many repetitive tasks to do. But if you want to wreak havoc and kill thousands of people with fireworks, CDs, and exploding sniper bullets, then this game can be fun for you.
This is an excellent game. It is a little depressing to play because of the revolutionary setting. I think that’s realistic, too. You don’t see a revolution in a country where things are great and fun. But it’s still a little grindy. You have to complete side quests to unlock upgrades to your weapons. There’s a lot to this game though. I’ve read reviews about how boring this is, but I did read one reviewer say that if you haven’t played a Far Cry game, this is the one for you. And that’s held true for me. I do like this game. The main story is a little slow to develop, kinda like GTA. And it isn’t amazing, but it isn’t bad. The characters are a little interesting. The AI is decent. Better than what I’ve seen from others playing the new PS5 Hitman. And this comes with a PS5 download if I recall. So you can sell the disc but keep your download. It’s a cool little game and if you buy this on sale, it’s a steal. Lots of work went into this game, and it should be priced higher and would be if it didn’t repeat much of its predecessors (also improving them apparently).
What an absolute disgrace to the FarCry franchise. Seriously. The acting from "Gus" was top notch, and the female voiced protagonist was solid, but the graphics were subpar, the story was unimaginative, the bulk of the dialogue and missions fostered ZERO investment in the characters or stories of the game!If I had to compare this to another game in the franchise, this was no better than FC2 - overall.FC3 and FC5 are the best of the series, hands down!Oh, and this game was pretty glitchy (at least on PS4). If you can get a copy for a few bucks - have at it, but don't waste anything more than $5 on a festering pile like this one (statements based on the expectations for AAA games being to certain tiers of quality, development, and value for the cost of the games ... Far Cry 6 is seriously a blast to play, just finished the game! The game's got this awesome mix of an intense story, great graphics, and gameplay that sucks you in. The open world, is a whole adventure waiting to happen with cool landscapes and exciting stuff around every corner. Giancarlo Esposito(Gustavo Fring) kills it with his acting, making the storyline super gripping. You've got this huge arsenal choice of weapons, guerrilla tactics, and a lot of interesting characters. Ubisoft nailed it – whether you're a longtime fan or like me just getting started, this game is a total winner!
I've played all the modern far cry games and while not necessarily bad... This is the weakest entry in my opinion.Let's start with the good:The world and gameplay are the best parts of this game. The colors are vibrant the map itself is pretty interesting and fun to roam around. Gunplay is solid and while many of the guns are reused assets from previous games there are a few new guns and ways to customize them. I've always preferred far cry over other open world shooters so if you just want some casual dumb fun. Most of the typical gameplay tropes are there and functional as well.Bads:I'll try and keep this short... But pretty much everything relating to the story of this game is pretty uninteresting. The characters are kind of shallow and unlikeable. Very one note schtick from pretty much every npc. The voice acting other than the female protagonist is pretty horrible as well. I totally understand that a shooter game about blowing stuff doesn't always focus on the articulate writing but I was surprised how bad the voice lines were in this. A lot of corny one liners from npcs and very very boring villain monologue scenes. The story and narrative itself was one of the main reasons I put the game down half way through. The mission structure is also rather predictable if you've played a far cry game before... The bad guy has a bad place over there... Go there... Shoot and set stuff on fire... Repeat. I can't say much else because I don't want to include spoilers but the villains are some of the most boring antagonists in a game in years. Giancarlo Esposito was heavily advertised as the villain for this game... While I have liked his acting in breaking bad... This performance is particularly weak/uninspired... He's just kinda doing the same character he's been playing since breaking bad.. a very professional bad guy. There are some pieces of dialogue from him specifically that sound like he's bored or did one not so great take. The performance feels very rushed and sloppy from him in particular.I cannot speak on the dlc outside of the Stranger things missions. (which were free)In summary this is not a bad game. It is also not an excellent game. I would say if the game is on sale for 10 to 15 bucks it's worth a try.
Just like its predecessors before it, Far Cry has not disappointed so far. The games graphics are awesome, gameplay is fun and addicting, and controller enhancements add to the realism for the PS5. It has a much more believable storyline than Far Cry 5. The Antagonist is a corrupt government leader (believable). Rogue government takeover of a small country has me addicted. The only downside is the game gets a little repetitive (like the old Far Cry games) when playing for more than a few hours at a time. I find taking a few days breaks in between sessions helps keep the game entertaining and interesting. The only complaint I have with these games is the unrealistic headshots. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 magazines to take down a NPC. Frustrating to say the least, but I ... MoreJust like its predecessors before it, Far Cry has not disappointed so far. It does take some getting used too. You need to carry weapons for the right job, and use the correct ammo against the correct bad guys. That being said, the Bow doesn't disappoint and remains my favorite FC weapon of choice. Love the game and will continue to support the Far Cry brand.
I don't know what I was hoping for with this game. Maybe some Cool New Next Gen features or something to make the Far Cry formula fresh again. The series has felt long overdue for some much needed innovation & reinvigoration. In these regards, the game FAILS miserably.I've personally played all the Far Cry Games & would say Far Cry 3 was the pinnacle of series in terms of gameplay, storytelling & innovation in the series. Far Cry 4 & 5 were basically clones of Far Cry 3 with very little innovation, neither of them topped Far Cry 3's Characters or Story.Far Cry 6 sadly follows suit with 4 & 5. Riding horses & being able to have a K-9 or Crocodile companion to help attack bases is cool, but that is literally the only new feature I can think of in this game.Otherwise the story is pretty blah. Far Cry 3 is still the Gold Standard in the storytelling & character department. Even Gus Fring couldn't save this one! The characters are not really that interesting & the story feels like a rehash from games 4 & 5.This game really feels like they don't have any fresh ideas for this series & the franchise sorely needs some fresh ideas & innovation.I honestly feel like I spent 60 bucks on a new dlc pack, disappointing.
