In 1985, my husband & I received a set of Farberware pots & pans as a wedding gift. They have a classic look, but most importantly is the fact that they are beyond durable, if there is such a thing. They cook food evenly; no hot spots. They don't tarnish & are made so strong that we have dented one yet! We ordered the 2 quart sauce pan to replace the one we have. Someone (no pointing fingers) placed a plastic steamer in the pan and forgot about. The water cooked out, the veggies burnt, & the plastic melted & stuck to the bottom of the pan. We did the best we could, but couldn't get all of the plastic off the pan. I've recommended Farberware to many people & I won't have anything else should I outlive them, which I doubt!

The size and ease of use is perfect for a retired couple. Only two of us now and use it almost daily. This pot was purchased as a replacement for a pot that was ruined by burnt food on the bottom of almost 1/4 inch. Thought it was not redeemable, so ordered this new one and it was on sale! I was actually able to redeem the previous pot after a week of white vinegar and scrubbing.I say all this to say, great pot and durable! Now I have two and delighted.

My parents had the entire set of this Farberware Classic Series for many years. My mother gave it to me when I moved on my own and I used it hard. When My son recently moved out I gave it to him thinking I "deserve" a new set of pans. I bought the cheaper Farberware set because it has glass lids, I like to see how things are cooking without lifting the lid. I didn't like the way the pans cleaned up, they weren't as smooth on the interior as the Classic set. I missed specific pans including this 4-quart stock pot so I finally caved and ordered it. I'm a happy cook again! I do cook a lt and I host holidays so good pans and enough pans are a must.
In 1978, I received several Farberware pots at my bridal shower.Forty-Four (44) years later, I still use each and every one of them.I purchased this particular saucepan, as well as many other Farberware pots, as a Christmas gift for my daughter.After 11 years of marriage, all of her cooking pots were no good. She threw every one out and replaced them with the Farberware pots I gifted her.I highly recommend all your pots to anyone who cooks. They stand the test of time. This saucepan was bought to replace a non stick saucepan of the same volume with a glass lid.I like the size of this saucepan and that it has higher sides than many other 1qt saucepans.But I didn’t realize I would miss having a glass lid. And it’s not as easy to clean as I expected. I have metal saucepans that I can just fill with water and whatever I was cooking just comes right off. Scrambled egg (which was one reason for the purchase) sticks like glue and is a pain to remove.I have to say this saucepan doesn’t really work for my specific purposes.
I purchased the basic set of classic Farberware when I was a college senior in 1966! Shortly after I purchased the set, I added the one quart saucepan. At that time it was considered inexpensive cookware, but I felt it was more than adequate to meet my needs. Fast forward to 2022. I am still using the one quart saucepan and most of the other pieces from the set. All still look great and perform beautifully! I will say that I hand wash the cookware as most of my life I have not owned a dishwasher. How many products that are used on a daily basis last 56 years?
The Compliment series was the last of the real Farberware only the 3qt rains for sale. The classic 2qt that I bought is stained after one use..I cooked old fashioned oatmeal. You boil water, add oatmeal, stir until ready, about 4-5 minutes. The lining on rhe sides up to the water line and bottom look like I boiled acid in it instead of bottled water. I've had my other Farberware pans for decades and they still are beautiful, if not as Shiney as they used to be. Your return policy says, return it only if it's unused. If you start the engine on that new car and it blows up, don't come running to us! That return policy sounds really swell ... Maybe .. (for you).. or Tesla .. Do you have any quality control at all anymore?
We've been married for 54 years. In the spring of 1967, I purchased my first complete set of pots and pans. I looked at many. My wonderful Mom said to purchase Farberware-they were the best Excellent suggestion.! As our family grew, I purchased another smaller set so I would have more sauce pans in several sizes. Long story short, the handles came loose after all these years and so I donated 2 pots to charity and instead of purchasing a brand new set, I replaced the pieces I gave away. My pots and pans from our original set are in great condition. When our grandchildren go off to college, etc., I will have a cool set of pots and pans for them. These are THE BEST EVER!
I used 5 of exactly the same pan for more than 10 years. The worst part is that the plastic part of the handle is burned out by the heat transfer from the metal part. I submitted replacement requests for these 5 pans, but I was told that it was due to overheating and thus my requests were rejected. If I overheated the plastic parts, they should have been broken a long time ago! Also, I used a 3 quart pan with two rivets inside; these rivets are soft metal, and they were basically melted away during the 10 year use. This pot replacement request was also denied. How is it possible that I over-heated these rivets??? Impossible. Farberware claims that they guarantee for any defects in materials. So, what can consumers do? Nothing, realistically, except that we must throw them away and buy new ones, but why Farberware ones again? Not worth it.
