Great for Travel

I bought this product because my son loves shape sorters. I saw this one came with the shapes attached so thought it would be good for travel. He does enjoy this product but does lose interest after he has put all the shapes in a few times. It does work in a pinch for traveling, going out to eat, or waiting for appointments. I am glad I bought it for my son. He is going to be two in February.

I purchased this for our grandson (who lives across the country from us) when he was about 7 months old, and didn't get to see him with it in action until now, when he's about 8 months. He likes to hold it and "squish" it, feeling all the different textures. Today he was grabbing it by a string, and turning it around and grabbing a different string with the other hand. We were told he especially likes "deconstructing" it by pulling out all the tabs, and handing it to a parent to put the middles back into the cube. They were looking forward to watching him play with it in new ways as he develops the skill to sort and find the corresponding side to replace the geometric plug. As usual from Fat Brain, a great toy that will grow with baby, and as always, safe and ... MoreI purchased this for our grandson (who lives across the country from us) when he was about 7 months old, and didn't get to see him with it in action until now, when he's about 8 months. The oombeecube's quality is excellent. The silicone rubber and strings are strong and I imagine this thing will stand the test of time. Our child is 18 mos. and they enjoy exploring the cube but struggle to push the shapes into their spots. I think they find this discouraging enough to only play with it for a short period of time and only if I hand it to them. My hope is that they'll enjoy it more once they figure out how much pressure they need. At this time, which is in the recommended age window for this toy, this one is not a winner for us.

My Review of OombeeCube
14 January 2020

The Oombee cube is very popular at our house! Our nine month old daughter frequently pulls this toy from her shelf and happily plays. I think it's genius that the shapes are connected to the sorter! This not only prevents lost pieces, but it's also very convenient for travel! My daughter loves to manipulate the strings and attached shapes. The shapes have some bend in their composition, which is soothing for her to gum as she plays. This product has a high build quality, and I would definitely recommend it!

My Review of OombeeCube

I'm an educator with a gifted child. When shopping for my one year old grand daughter, I didn't want to just get a "toy". I wanted something that would engage her mind in many different ways so I thought I would give this one a try. Your website is wonderful, offering videos of playing with the item and offers data on different aspects. They even offer toys from infants to seniors! My grand daughter doesn't travel well. I got a video of her playing with it in the car and she was happy, engaged and busy! Well done Fat Brain toys! I definitely will be buying more from you!

My grandson opened his birthday gift, the OombeeCube as we watched him on a video chat. He immediately grabbed a hold of the shapes, enjoying the tethers attaching the shapes. My daughter and son-in-law seemed so happy. He held his OombeeCube our entire call. He also enjoyed chewing the shapes. His Mom was reassured when I told her that they were made of the food grade silicon. I'm sure my grandson will enjoy his OombeeCube for some time to come. Thank you...

We love the oombee cube! This is our second one—the first one lasted two years. Our son has Down Syndrome and that's his favorite toy! He played so much he finally pulled the ropes out, and we had to retire it and buy again! It's also well loved by any of his friends at church too—lots of kids are fascinated with it :)
