The LED lamp is a separate element that clicks into the bowl with a magnet. So you can remove the light from the bowl to recharge it with the included USB-C cable. The button allows you to dim the light from twilight mode to delightfully bright. The LED light emits warm white light, but the colour of the bowl determines the hue. Fatboy Oloha is made of aluminium, which also makes it suitable for outdoor use. On the back, Oloha has a silicone layer, which also contains a handy eyelet you can use to hang Oloha.
