I started out with a shavette that uses half DE razor blades. It was not a great experience, not terrible, but not great. This razor makes all the difference for me. Great shave, no nicks or cuts....yet.I really like this razor. Nice and light also.

I'm more then happy with this razor... It has become my everyday razor. A nice one pass shave is closer then a 2 pass with 1 pass ATG using a Double edge. It isn't going to take the place of my real straights, but I don't have the money or time to learn how to hone at this moment. This is my best option, and save on having to pay to get my razors honed monthly... The professional blades are super sharp and going to be my choice of bladesFeather knows how to make a shave instrument!

I am currently in barbering school and this handle was an awesome upgrade to the handle we were given to use. The blades are easy to put in with a little practice and cleaning the handle is easy; which is very important to me as a student and as a future barber. I recommend this handle to anyone at my school who loves doing hot shaves like myself. I’m excited to use it more and exploring what blades fit my preference the best. (photos are the result and use of me using the handle and the ‘light’ blades)
Great products
Have wanted to try strait razor shaving, so picked up the Feather Artist and gave it a go! There is a learning curve, not quite as steep as I imagined. As previous review mentions - go slow and deliberate. Like the weight and feel. Great razor.
This is my first attempt at a straight razor or shavette and very easy to use. Got a little too confident and was quickly reminded to take my time. As long as you slow down and focus this is easy to learn with and very sharp. Build quality is as I would expect from Feather although I thought it would be a little heavier. Feels good in the hand still and gives a great shave.
Superb razor. Good ergonomics. With the Pro-Guard blades it provides an excellent intro to straight shaving.
